The store page is boring again RIP in peace Summer Sales 2012
rest in peace in peace
Last purchase for me was getting all the Saint's Row 3 DLC I didn't have. Brought my total spent to like $180. Now time to start saving up for the Winter Sales. /shudder
Sale's over suddenly we've lost interest in every game we considered.
i spent 150 euro on games for myself and 30 euro on gifts damn
And with that, the young gamers put away there wallets for another 5 months, for now they rest, but let it be known that the sale will return. And next time, it's personal.

Why did Jade Empire go on sale AFTER the sale? Ughhhhh. That one has been on my wishlist for so long. *shakes fist* Damn you Valve, you steal my money, and then you show me stuff!
Does this thread end now or what?
It will turn into the "Steam Summer Sale 2012, I regret buying X game"
I regret buying The Binding of Isaac Soundtrack
what why
It will turn into the "Steam Summer Sale 2012, I regret buying X game"
My 2K pack came with Duke Nukem Forever :\ Also unsure if I'll like Civ 5, everybody says good things but I'm still skeptical on downloading In Australia you have limited GB per month so deciding to dedicate 10gb of modern games is a tough choice Arkham City is like, 17GB Thats at the minimum a 10 year download!
steam is down [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] I don't want to leave this thread
It's final ? They have ended ?
Damn, never bought anything in the sale. I had £2 in my bank up until today.
Arkham City is like, 17GB Thats at the minimum a 10 year download!
Max Payne 3 was 30GB and i downloaded it in 6 hours. I'm also in Australia, but i have a 1TB limit.
There go my hopes for an encore sale. Oh well, it was a good sale. Gaben stole all of my money.
I am sorry but I joined Steam a few months ago, does this happen every year ? sorry for the newbie question.
I am sorry but I joined Steam a few months ago, does this happen every year, sorry for the newbie question.
Every year there is a summer and a winter sale.
I hate it when sales end and the steam page goes back to normal straight away like nothing even happened. I feel so... used.
I hate it when sales end and the steam page goes back to normal straight away like nothing even happened. I feel so... used.
I know, it just looks so dull. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline]
Every year there is a summer and a winter sale.
Thanks, and do you know which one is better ? I mean will I get cheaper games on the winter sale ? or the summer one ?

Also different games because of releases/game aging between now and the winter sale.
They both have generally the same discounts, just with different themes. And is there another website that makes similar offers ? Anyway thanks for the help.
Thanks, and do you know which one is better ? I mean will I get cheaper games on the winter sale ? or the summer one ?
also take note that this sale was more dull than usual (the only new thing being the flash sales and community choices). Normally they have a huge event where you have to get certain achievements in games in order to acquire raffle tickets which you can trade for prizes or keep for the final raffle at the end of the sale [editline]24th July 2012[/editline]
Oh so it varies ? Expected an encore sale but still. This year wasn't bad; didn't have as much in the way of meta gaming like the ticket systems or anything but were some good deals. Got everything I coulda hoped for and some I have wanted to play for a very long time. RIP Summer Sale 2012
