Shit
I got EFLC in the sales.
I'll have to see if my code is alright.
Ugh. Apparently people who bought Episodes from Liberty City were given invalid CD keys and now I can't even play the game I just bought until Microsoft or Rockstar figures out how to fix the latest screw up in the GFWL saga.
disregard cdkey, remove gfwl
it's USELESS
Haha wow, Valve are kinda being assholes about not being able to reassign a key to your account.
Basically you're stuck with having to keep a second key on-hand with an invalid one on steam.
Or if you don't care about MP you can just download it from other sources if you've already bought it, right?

Depends what the software license entails, some blatantly state how you may and may not obtain the data.
Awesome sale, but they need to stop bringing the popular games 10 times in the sale and forgetting other games.
Waited the whole sale for TDU 2 and Battlefield 2 but the only thing i saw in the spotlights and Flash sales were Saints row 3 and other shit.
Yeah, there was a lot of opportunity for lesser-known games to come to light in sales, but not too many did. Disappointing, kind of.
I wanted Shoot Many Robots to go on sale a second time, but no. Even though they had Saints Row the Third on at least four times.
I bought ([sp]was gifted by Nintendo-Guy[/sp]) EFLC and got a valid CD-key though
I also gotten EFLC and it works perfectly.
I've never had any problems with GFWL at all, I don't mind it
disregard cdkey, remove gfwl

But don't I need it to play multiplayer? Plus to save my singleplayer.
Multiplayer isn't that great
It shows its true colors when you have simple trainer on though
Spamming the car speedup button and going 6000 MPH through the streets in a tug boat will never get old.
I recently started using GFWL more now that I have more PC games that use it and I don't mind it. It's not intrusive at all so I don't know why people dislike it.
Also I guess I have to install EFLC now to check the CD Key...16GB of my 60GB limit which I already went over...ugh...
GFWL is not the problem.
It's just not as good as Steam
GFWL sucks because it's shit and doesn't work. End of discussion.
it's annoying but it works, i've never had a GFWL problem ever
it's annoying but it works, i've never had a GFWL problem ever
it takes forever to set up and it disabled a lot of shit becuase i'm under 18, I had to make another account that was over 18 and add that person as my parent. Too much work to play a game.
GFWL is slow. Really slow. In Bioshock 2, it made me take thirty seconds for a quicksave.
it's annoying but it works, i've never had a GFWL problem ever
The other day, I went to log on to GFWL so that I could play Bioshock 2.
I entered my password.
It didn't work.
I went to my password vault and entered that in.
It didn't work.
So, to test it out, I tried entering it into my web browser.
It worked!
After trying in game for a few more tries, I came to the conclusion that the in-game overlay doesn't allow you to use symbols in the password, BUT THEIR FUCKING WEBSITE DOES. So, I needed to change my password.
So I went to the password reset page.
It said enter your first password.
It said enter your first password again for security.
The two passwords didn't match.
So I went to my password vault, copied the password to my clipboard, and pasted it into the two password fields, WHEN IT'S PHYSICALLY FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TWO FUCKING PASSWORDS TO BE ANY FUCKING DIFFERENT.
The two passwords didn't match.
So I payed EXTRA SPECIAL ATTENTION and tried to enter my password manually into the fields twice more.
The two passwords didn't match.
So I logged out of my account and told GFWL that I forgot my password. It sent me a password reset form, and I could change my password that way. I made a simple password, this time with no special case or symbols.
I logged into the in-game overlay using that password.
It worked.
Total time to get GFWL to function: 15 fucking minutes.

The worst thing is applying patches to games, or downloading your GFWL account.. Can take several minutes at times.
Turns out my EFLC key is invalid. Is this issue for other GTA games as well?

i bought fable 3
it launched
GFWL logged me in automatically
I started playing immediately
I don't know what you're all doing wrong but it's user error I'm sure
Just got done chatting with Xbox Support. These words make my happy:
"I have just sent over our request for the new code. They will be able to resolve this for us quickly and send you an email to let you know when it is fixed. If they need more information they will give you a call."
:D

If it was a user error, and I somehow entered my user name and/or password wrong in a few dozen tries (highly unlikely,) then logically I should have never been able to log in on the browser site. Because that's kind of how copy and paste works, it's not conditional. It works 100% of the time and it doesn't decide to corrupt on a per webpage/application basis.

Well I don't know what I'm doing different to have absolutely no problems while everyone else is
Well, it doesn't matter how much GFWL sucks (or not for some people)...
The thing is:
STEAM ROCKS!
/actual end of discussion

I'm convinced that Microsoft's LIVE accounts fucks up when you start using symbols in the passwords, because that's the only common thread I can see between the success and failure.
Who knows. I have more performance problems with Steam than I do GFWL, but MS' servers are slooooow sometimes, that's about the worst I get.

I've been noticing Steam has been getting better. I still wish they could set up a sort of P2P network for game downloads.
Steam's servers are great but the app is always freezing/refusing to load webpages for me.
