I hate that the community pages and everything on steam take so long to load.
Steam's servers are great but the app is always freezing/refusing to load webpages for me.
And then Steam went down for 15 minutes.
its not just me?
Yeah it seems like the entire network has gone down.

Nah it was routine downtime, standard maintenance, it was posted on SPUF a day in advance.
There’s no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. … What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake, mankind, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams.
That means I can't even do ingame chat, web browser is unbelievable levels of shitty.
So I contacted Steam support about 'Saints Row: The Third Franchise Pack' going down to $9 on the last day, when I paid $15 for just 'Saints Row: The Third' (no DLC included). Today they got back on my support ticket (which I submitted during the last 12 or so hours of the sale) telling me that to sort this out, I need to buy 'Saints Row: The Third Franchise Pack' as a giftable copy, and when that's in my inventory they will refund my original $15 purchase. This would be great, if the sale wasn't already over, and furthermore you can no longer buy SR3 as a 'Franchise Pack' (I guess it was limited to the sale period)..

Atleast they would refund you. To upgrade to a deluxe edition from standard I need to buy the game again and then they'll remove the existing game from my account with no reimbursement what so ever.
GFWL is absolute garbage. I remember when I first got RE5 on Steam, I waited 25 minutes for an update to download, only for it to stop at 99% and go 'update failed' and stop. Then I had to restart it, and wait another 25 minutes and try again. Eventually I finally got everything to work but to this day updating the damn thing is an absolute nightmare.
When I first got RE5, I managed to log over an hour in-game on Steam without ever actually playing anything. That was all just getting GFWL to stop breaking every five minutes.
edit: Just realized the GFWL live talk has shifted over to steam support stuff. Whoopsies.
I've never had a problem with GFWL, generally don't even know its there because it just autologs me in and its over with...so...you guys just suck.

Don't think it's us sucking when I gave up trying to play GTA IV for one year straight because that GFWL piece of shit wouldn't even take me to the registration page.
And that was just after buying it, too.

Why the fuck do I need to make an account to save in singleplayer, anyway ?

So that you could wait while it tries to save in 20 minutes.

Oh God, My family got back 4 minutes before the Left 4 Dead sale ended today and my sister tried buying L4D 2 but the transaction didn't go through. She tried a second time and success! But.... She got charged the $19.99 instead of the $4.99 :v:

Smooth moves.
Just finished Luigi's Mansion 2 (Alan Wake). Shine flashlight on enemies, then kill, seems familiar.
binding of isaac + wrath of the lamb was WELL worth 2 bucks.
So does anyone think we're getting a Quakecon sale? The 40% didn't cut it for me, and I'd like to get the Quake 1/2 expansion, I own the base games by disc though, so I'm notsure how that'll go.

You are such a fucking creep.
Has anyone every noticed that they barely even play the games they buy? I just buy them because they are so cheap and can't resist the deal. Anyway I noticed I have barely even played half of my games. This is the result.

Bought Cubemen for 2 bucks, don't really care for it. Chaser for 2.50, I had it on disc but for some really weird and unsolvable problem it won't install, really anticlimactic replaying it. Quake 4, I've had it for nearly half a year now and I still haven't finished it.
I wanna get the mission packs for Quake 1/2, but I can't play them unless I have the Steam versions, even though I already have disc versions, if all 4 went for -75%, it would only be 5 bucks, but I have to have the steam versions, so I have to pay $10 in IDEAL circumstances of -75% to get expansions for games I already own.
Bought Oblivion GOTY for $5, New Vegas GOTY for ~$10(?), Just Cause 2 for $5.
New Vegas is fun so far and so is Just Cause 2. I just bought Oblivion because I only had it on Xbox previously and I love modding games to shit.
