What makes Alan Wake so great? Just curious, trying to decide if I should pick it up.
Probably the story mostly, imagine if Stephen King wrote a game.
Gameplay is somewhat unique too.
I think alan wake is just like.. super immersive. Good story from what I hear, and the graphics are gorgeous.
Godamnit, I'm up to 50 bucks spent
God damn, sounds like my cup of tea. Buying it :v:
I don't have a Xbox so I missed out on it before.
0 dollars spent.. This may have to change with Alan Wake though. I was saving for something good or hopefully GTA but idk. I'll have to get up early and beg my parents for dosh before Alan Wake ends
Anyone wanna give me a couple dollars over paypal in exchange for "Garsharp: The monster slayer" on steam inventory? I want to buy that new Binding of Issac DLC and that's probably my only shot at getting the achievement for buying something during the sale.

I have spent around $30 at the moment with my final $20 sitting in my account right now. I am waiting for Morrowind GOTY edition and Oblivion GOTY to go on sale at 75% off since I own both those games on consoles already.
Alan Wake plays a lot like Resident Evil 4, if you want a point of reference to gameplay. However it has the addition of being able to move/dodge incoming attacks, which is nice, and makes the game feel more fast. It's also very nicely paced, with moments of calm, allowing you to explore your surrounding and usually rewards you with some neat extras or extra supplies which will help in the next action sequence. It doesn't hurt the PC addition looks very nice and was actually ported over to the PC very well. The story is presented extremely well, but seeing as how this is developed by Remedy (Max Payne 1 and 2), that's not surprising.
But yeah, buy it to support Remedy. They're awesome.
I only have 10 dollars, would it be worth buying Alan wake and American nightmare? I don't think I could get much better for 10 bucks.
Alan wake actually looks like the first thing I've wanted this entire sale. Too bad my debt only has $3.00 on it. Christmas Sale hopefully it pops back up.
I didn't realize the Alan Wake bundle was 75% off as well, that is a thing that I'm purchasing.
How long is Alan Wake's American Nightmare? I heard it's fairly short and arcadey, besides I don't have enough money to pick up either the original or the franchise pack.
Now is probably a good time stock on all those interesting looking indie games that I thought $10 was too much for.
Someone console me; I bought the one game I wanted in the sales (Crusader Kings 2) and in my utterly failed attempts at hope, I thought it would run on my computer. It doesn't. Woe is to me...

I would imagine that a site with a lot of sales may be experiencing quite a large amount of traffic and therefore is having some issues with product distribution. I would attempt contacting customer support.
Why are you asking us? Talk to support. I've never had an issue with them.
they dont work on weekends, great.
that might be true but why didnt i receive my key then?
Don't know. Could be that a lot of people heard about the deal and they ran out of keys or something. Someone else told me about not getting their key so that's likely.

I only played the main story (there's a "Nightmare Arcade Mode" which I didn't play) and I got a total of 5 hours out of it. For the current price that isn't too bad, though personally I'd recommend playing the first game first.
Apparently they're out of keys and have been all day. Better to just get it on Steam really.
godfuckingdamnit. hope im not gonna have to wait days until i recieve my key then :C

GMG are pretty good, I wouldn't be surprised if they compensate you (though don't expect them to you may end up disappointed when they don't). One time I missed out on a sale due to a technical fault, I contacted support and they gave me $7 store credit (which was more than the discount was worth) as compensation. With that said though, I did request an extension on the discount in my support ticket, and they just obliged and then some.
Do you guys think Battlefront 2 or Republic Commando are gonna go on a daily/flash deal? They're both 40% off right now. I'm thinking that, considering that they're 7 years old, its not going to go any cheaper.

There's ALWAYS a franchise daily deal on Star Wars. I can't remember the last sale that didn't have one.

Considering I can't go for the original, should I pick up American Nightmare?
