S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: Full of Delicous Edition - Games

Hey guys I need some help at Call of Pripyat. I decided to play CoP all over again just for fun, and I wanted to make the Going to Pripyat mission a little more easier. I need to join Monolith to get that guy... Uh strider? Or something else? Anyway, I have to go join Duty, Freedom and Monolith, since in this play through I am gonna do all missions and side quests. How do I do that?

How do I do that?[/QUOTE] You have to make either Duty or Freedom your friends. Give them important faction member's PDAs (Morgan's, General Tatchenko's) to make them your friends. Then go and after talking to Strider ask Loki(Freedom) or Shuljga(Duty) at Yanov Station if the Monolith team will join their faction. This is why I press F5 every 30 seconds and make a new save every 10-15 minutes.

I try to remember to save everything I do.

I like to keep it unconstrained, it's boring if you can load a save a minute back and grind the same spot over and over until you've done it. With my style I can jump back to the start of the fight, and try a completely different approach.

:ohdear: So I get out of hiding in a little building from my first emission in COP and its pitch black outside. So I resume what I was doing before the emission struck which was getting to the downed chopper. Oh shit what was that. Red eyes. That iconic breathing noise. Fuckkkk Bloodsucker. I ran so fast.

I'm paranoid about saves, sometimes I quick save right after walking a few feet from my last save.

Shit, forgot to ask in my prior post: Where and how do you modify the amount of damage someone takes from specific body parts and limbs? I wanna make center mass shots more lethal than limb shots and chest shots even more so along with making it so high tier armours can near completely eliminate any torso shots.

And I'm running Thorny's mod. It's probably irrelevant, but what the hell is that red dot above my health bar and why am I constantly losing health?

Man, Redux really hates me sometimes. Just now, I am at a save where there are 50 dogs about to run after me. God they are annoying now with the ability to die in a scratch or two!

Redux won't work for me. It won't load a new game.

So in Redux, I went out with my almost broken Makarov with exactly 50 bullets in 1am with no armor or food/drinks to investigate the crashed helicopters. And guess what, my trip was very successful. Haven't encountered any enemies except a couple of snorks which I avoided. So I was on my way to Noah to ask him to lead me to the last Helicopter crash site, it's been awhile since I played CoP and I forgot all about Noah and the fact that he was fucking batshit insane. As I close in on the door and press 'E' to open it, I come to a very interesting find, it's closed. and then right as I remember that he shoots exactly 2 rounds after you try and open the door I get a stomach full of lead, as I saw my corpse falling towards the ground I received the second buckshot straight into my face. Last save: 2 hours ago, Right as I left the Skadovsk to investigate helicopters naked. That was probably the strongest ':|' moment I've ever had.

Does anyone else have problems with Steam in-game in Call of Pripyat? Notifications show up fine, but pressing my keybind to bring up the in-game UI doesn't do anything. I'm running in DX10.

Autosave after task completions confirmed for LURK

Been gracing the zone with my presence once again. It sucks you in grabs control of your brain and refuses to let you leave. Too bad I still only have SoC, at least getting a play-through in with most of the game patches leads to me actually being able to play the game how I like. Although I noticed a bug, if you talk to the guy about the mercs attacking the rookie base, and not accept, they attack anyways. So I went and killed all the mercs from a rooftop with a pistol then tried to come back and accept the mission hoping it'd give me a reward. Nope it says kill the mercs, even though they're already dead in a pile at the entrance to the rookie base in cordon with the icon over the lead dead guy.

my redux looks wierd its like its too bright how do i fix this

I quicksave after anything that was very hard to accomplish without dying, and I manually save after every important storyline event or before I decide to do something stupid like a rampage into Rostok.

does the new hud in redux allow for triple monitor resolutions? there is a fixed default hud/dialog boxes on wsgf that i might have to use if not
