hud breaks on triple monitors, if thorny could make a optional component to make the hud fit one monitor that would be epic, an example with the default hud is available here

It only really stretches the side monitors, I'm guessing to mimic peripheral vision.
Why did you save 6048x1080 images as PNGs? :colbert:
Even saving them at 100% JPEGs would have cut the filesize in half.
Then you should reduce enemy damage, fighting in close quarters was frustrating enough with quick save, it would piss me off to go through a firefight and suddenly die because you got blindsided by a bandit with a shotgun.
Also, about how often would these saves be? As in, in regular gameplay, how long would it take to get to the next checkpoint? Sometimes I just have to quit in the middle of my game, and I won't be happy with having to fight my way to another save.
I believe Holden has made combat a bit easier to compensate for that. The three ways of saving would be: Level transition, task completion, and saving in a blowout safe area.

I was really disappointed that Clear Sky did not include this level in the final game. The Soviet mine/quarry thing looks so badass.

That level was made into Pripyat Underground and Quarry in CoP.

God I so wanna climb up ontop of that thing.
I would like to see a stalker game where stalkers would look like the concept art stalker (not like in the product where everyone has a rubber-coated suit) and it would pretty much be like the first parts of Oblivion Lost mod (shit gun, low on medpacks and bandages, low on antirads, hungry etc.).
In every stalker game I play, I feel like I'm in real danger and try to avoid negative encounters, but in the end I allways become a superstalker who has the best gear and who sees a group of exo-monoliths as a low obstacle.

Agreed.
Everyone seems to get the idea that everyone in the zone has an exoskeleton and a PKM. Shit, having a rifle and a steady supply of food and money would make you experienced.

Well, only the veteran stalkers and the Monolith are actually using the exoskeletons because they're the only guys that can afford them. PKMs are rare as shit, only a few stalkers have it. However, if you are a newer lad and just happen to have top equipment you either got a load of awards(Marked One), have good faction relations(Scar) or you're just the lucky guy that managed to find a way of quickly earning money(Major Degtyarev). However, if you're an average joe, I doubt you can quickly get equipment in the games. Try not accepting any quests and live of what you pick up in the Zone. Only then you're matched to other stalkers.

But if I don't take any quests then how will I progress?
But if I don't take any quests then how will I progress?
Depends on the game. You'll probably have to take quests in CS or in SoC, but in CoP you can preety much play without taking any quests.

That thing is awesome.
I'm awake.
Hey, what does the thing the STALKERs say to me mean?
The "Arishno croaw" thing or however the fuck it's romanized. I don't know russian at all :I
Good God, there has to be more stalkers around the stations in CoP. Whenever I go outside of Yanov, dogs charge at me like I'm a postman, and even if I do evade them, there are zombies setting up an ambush for me right around the corner of the main building!
What happened to the Floatingpoint.org? I'm trying to find out where to dl his mod but its down.
"He went by the username NivenhBro on the arstechnica boards, see this post with the first public release of float32:

In June 08 he told people on the boards that he had testicular cancer which may have spread to his lungs:

Last post there was in February this year.... "
Oh....
And I can't find a site to download a newer version the Filefront one is broken.
I've been checking the models with the SDK lately, and all I found was a big pile of shit. No, really.

Looks like a wrenched.
Someone found textures in the files for that.
They also found porn.
You have to make either Duty or Freedom your friends. Give them important faction member's PDAs (Morgan's, General Tatchenko's) to make them your friends. Then go and after talking to Strider ask Loki(Freedom) or Shuljga(Duty) at Yanov Station if the Monolith team will join their faction. After you finish that, find Strider in Yanov and ask him if he wants to join you in going to Pripyat.
God dommot, I always forget about autosaves. Brb restarting SoC.
Well I will soon finish all the quests on Zaton and move on to Yanov station.
However, if I haven't met the confused Monolith group on Zaton, will I still be able to ask the Duty or Freedom guys to let them join? If not, how do I meet those confused monolith guys?
And where do I find Morgan's PDA?

No, you first have to meet the Monolith group. They're south of the AA complex in Yanov. Not too far from the old container storage. Morgan is Duty's corrupt trader, if you triggered "The Hit" mission from Sultan or Beard in Zaton, the next mission you get from either will have Morgan in it, doing a deal with the Bandits.
wat
Before anyone goes on an expedition in the game files, it's just an old unused tv screen variation, it's some chick in some strange underwear walking.
The one in black spandex looking thing?

I thought that was a fan-added mod?
I thought that was a fan-added mod?
It isn't, I have checked the files myself.
