I hope they don't suck. And I hope that they at least have some connection with the games.
Anyhow, anyone thinking that we will see the Belorussian sector of the Zone in the next trilogy?
I hope they first make STALKER 2, perfect it, then port it to the consoles if they're thinking of multiplatforming it. I have nothing against porting SoC and CoP into the consoles. Well, at least there won't be a sausage-fest and dick measuring competitions everywhere in the next game.
You can't have a perfect game on the console, because they ruin games that aren't racing games

But...but... what about my nostalgia platformers and my TPSs and my puzzle games?
the console versions
woo woo three more stalker games and gerrrrlllssss
Seriously though how in the hell are they going to get X-Ray on consoles.
The X-Ray engine is fine, just needs a little polishing is all.
Seriously though how in the hell are they going to get X-Ray on consoles.
Basically make a shitty Console port. Take a shot at those Shitty PC ports.
The X-Ray engine is fine, just needs a little polishing is all.
Define 'a little'
Define 'a little'
It just needs a little better shaders and some more optimization and stability issues fixed. I don't see nothing bad in the X-Ray engine, but I hope they make X-Ray 2 for STALKER 2.
Yeah, we do honestly need X-Ray 2.0 for STALKER 2.
How pissed would you be if all they had was X-Ray engine 1.7?
Finally got CoP. I'm still in the beginning where you get the sidequest to sneak into the mercenary base. I can't for the life of me sneak in. Should i wait till night time?
But...but... what about my nostalgia platformers and my TPSs and my puzzle games?
Ok, ok, PS3's and Xbox 360's then
Although most mainstream console players won't play it as much. Because the game is hard to get into and isn't as polished and well presented like some other games.
Yeah, we do honestly need X-Ray 2.0 for STALKER 2.
Yeah... for things like CS and CoP it's fine to just upgrade the engine a little bit, but for a full second game they'll really need to upgrade the engine a lot.
Imma go play some Redux now.
I'll finish my comic later.
I hear Jupiter Plant is pretty spooky?
Another thing: Lebedev is the most biggest lying bastard in the series. He was one of the project leaders for the [sp]X labs[/sp], he was working on the [sp]Gauss Rifle[/sp] and the [sp]Psy-emission[/sp] projects and I could bet he knew about [sp]C-Counciousness[/sp], too. At least he sort of trying to make the things he was ordered to work on to stop with Clear Sky. That is, until his [sp]brain got fried[/sp].
Parents don't tell young children about the birds and the bees because they don't believe that they're ready yet. Lebedev doesn't think that the world is ready to understand the truth about the Zone.
At least, that's my interpretation of Lebedev's actions.

Jupiter has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to get in there, finish what you came there to do, and get the fuck out as soon as possible
I'd say that's pretty damn spooky
STALKER 2 as a Trilogy...? Awesome.
I hope the console version is retarded so nobody buys it
So we PC users get STALKER all to ourselves.
I don't want all the retards at my school who game on consoles running around going "OH YEA U KNO THAT GAEM STAKR? I OWN SO GOOD AT IT , U SUC CUZ U PLAYE PC STAKR"
I also hope STALKER doesn't have relationships.. and even female characters. It's going to turn into Dykeville/Little Miss Badass Town. And If they do.. I'll make them my slaves

I hope STALKER doesn't get onto the consoles :colbert:
Have some trust. Even if the game is shit, we still have three excellent PC exclusive STALKER games to fall back to.

Oh come on, how hard is it to just say [sp]"A couple of USSR scientists were playing God below Reactor 4 and accidentally created the Zone in the process."[/sp]
Yea, Jupiter plant is probably the most scariest places in the series. There's just something... bad about it that GSC pulled off so well that nobody, not even the NPCs want to go to the Jupiter Plant. Hell, even in real life this is probably the scariest place in the Zone.

When a large majority of stalkers treat the Zone as an entity and maintain a pseudo-religion based on that belief, it would be a pretty big shock for the inhabitants of the Zone to suddenly be informed of that
As for Jupiter:

Yikes. :saddowns:
It's interesting how the factory seems to have remained fairly devoid of looters in relation to its close proximity to Pripyat (in real life), which was looted to hell and back. Really says something about just how foreboding the factory is. :tinfoil:

:ohdear:
I always wondered why groups like NATO didn't try to take control of the Zone. Military stalkers failed about two to three times, some intervention from guys like SAS or USMC could help. Plus it would add variation to the series, I'm tired of constantly seeing Ukrainians and Russians everywhere. Besides, the only time that it was shown that US is showing interest in the Zone is when Degtyarev finds the [sp]crashed UAV in the area around Jupiter[/sp]

The United Nations attempted to intervene, but underestimated the dangers that the Zone presented and were wiped out
This comes from dialogue with stalkers in Call of Pripyat

Also, found Yanov. :3:

Oh, I see. It was kind of a "You didn't listen and trained for that event, did you?" operation?
I hope Yanov isn't irradiated. I want to check out how it looks from inside. :saddowns:
Oh, I see. It was kind of a "You didn't listen and trained for that event, did you?" operation?
I'd assume so.

Then again it's not like the military ever tried to prepare perfectly, just assumed "Oh yea, it's an easy task" and loaded up the strike force with military stalkers.
...Damn, now I remembered a line that the major the loners captured in CS said "I don't bother chasing you idiots around the whole Zone" and now I want to animate a bunch of characters chasing each other with Benny Hill music playing in the background.
Also, I think I understand why there are not many bushes and trees around Yanov in game like in real life, if there would, the map would turn into a big jaggie.
I feel like going into Jupiter... At night.. Without night vision :ohdear:
The next Stalker should use Games For Windows Live and be on the Gamebryo Engine
I'm done trolling now
Just want to say that CoP is awesome and sorry
