I don't like Russia,gas masks,ak47,communism,Chernobyl and stalker.
Me neither but i love S.T.A.L.K.E.R
The fun part is that the Ukrainian government was crazy enough to fund a development of an exoskeleton-driven super-heavy armor that was so strong that hitting it point-blank with an RPG felt like a toothpick poke by the wearer. :v:
Fuck, I want proof about that. Any articles or something?
I think he's referring the the in-game Ukrainian Government.
Fuck, I want proof about that. Any articles or something?
If something like that really existed they'd taken over the world already.
Or/and they'd have a great economy.
Hng, wish they announced S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 with it's CryEngine 3 goodness...
No, because I'd like to be able to actually run the game.
There are many reasons why Stalker is never going to ever be on CryEngine. And I doubt it's going to be called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
not in the context of the game or the suit, no.

Hey Thorny, does the stashes system in Redux move the bodies of Barge and Joker. I cant seem to find them.
Shouldn't do... Are you sure you're looking in the right place? [editline]11:27PM[/editline]
anyone know what the best artifact is in the Redux mod ??? i got 15 so far but there all rubbish ones. :colbert:
What have you got so far? There aren't any really 'rubbish' ones - what do you even mean by that? :P
What have you got so far? There aren't any really 'rubbish' ones - what do you even mean by that? :P
i got lots but i can't use them because i'll die from radioactive poison i was planning to sell them at yantar. the jellyfish and the bubble artifacts where the only two good ones i got so far but i should get alot of money that will get me the Exoskeleton PNB-4UZ suit i being wanting.
i got lots but i can't use them because i'll die from radioactive poison i was planning to sell them at yantar. the jellyfish and the bubble artifacts where the only two good ones i got so far but i should get alot of money that will get me a new suit i was wanting.
:S Yantar? Also, Jellyfish and Bubble? Those aren't the names now... Are you sure you installed the mod properly?
yea the mod installed right but i have s.m.r.t.e.r pripyat installed also could it be a conflict ? edit: ok i removed s.m.r.t.e.r pripyat and now it's working fine i'll start again and see where i go in the zone now!
.... You can't be serious.
Um.
Why. Why do people never read the ReadMe... I can't wait until v1.0 and all of this will be avoided with the awesome installer that detects if you have a mod present already.
Just had a Ukrainian sub in my Math class today. Was fucking epic :V
Just had a Ukrainian sub in my Math class today. Was fucking epic :V
does he live in pripyat :downs:
This game is too futuristic for me, men jumping around in spacesuits with guass rifles doesn't sound good.
There aren't any space suits in the game as far as I know And what do you expect from a game based off of a science fiction novel?
This game is too futuristic for me, men jumping around in spacesuits with guass rifles doesn't sound good.
What? Just about everything in that game is in our era. Did you even bother to look at any gameplay, or even screenshots? Don't base your shit off someone saying something stupid.
This game is too futuristic for me, men jumping around in spacesuits with guass rifles doesn't sound good.
gauss guns don't appear until the very end of each respective game. and those aren't space suits. they're anti-rad suits for scientists. like HAZMAT suits. not to mention all the modern-day weapons and the modern day setting. you haven't paid much attention to game reviews and stuff, have you? :raise:
There are many reasons why Stalker is never going to ever be on CryEngine. And I doubt it's going to be called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
That's funny you say that, because their PR guy said they were actually thinking about licensing an engine, particularly the CryEngine.
That's funny you say that, because their PR guy said they were actually thinking about licensing an engine, particularly the CryEngine.
Just because they got a license doesn't mean they are going to use it for Stalker. They have other none-Stalker games too.
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Russian_space_suit_3.jpg[/img_thumb] No difference.
That's because in the book the suit is described as looking like a jet pilot's suit or space suit. I'm going to assume that the SP-99 is based on the suit described in the book.
At first glance it didn't seem like anything special, just an outfit like a diving suit with a bubble-top helmet with a visor. Not really like a diver's - more like a jet pilot's or an astronaut's. It was light, comfortable, without binding anywhere, and you didn't sweat in it. In a little suit like that you could go through fire, and gas couldn't penetrate it.

That's funny you say that, because their PR guy said they were actually thinking about licensing an engine, particularly the CryEngine.
If they honestly choose the Cry Engine I'll just stop playing STALKER. The X-Ray engine is the only engine for STALKER, nothing can reproduce STALKER's atmosphere correctly.
