S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: Full of Delicous Edition

Just beat COP. That was a damn cool surprise, [sp]Strelok[/sp] walking up to the laundromat like that.
In the last thread, someone mentioned they'd like to see a prequel where they could play as Sidorovich or some early Stalker without advanced weapons and gear. I'd either like to see that, or one where you play as either Fang or Ghost and journey with Strelok to find out what it was they did in the center of the Zone the first time they went there.
-pins-
[sp]The way they portrayed Strelok in Clear Sky was pretty dumb in my opinion.. they made him more like a bandit and nothing like he is in SoC .... what the heck is with that.[/sp]
That was the whole point. Everyone thought he was a dick
And he sounded like a nerdy little shit too, not like the hunk of man that he sounds like in CoP.
If they honestly choose the Cry Engine I'll just stop playing STALKER. The X-Ray engine is the only engine for STALKER, nothing can reproduce STALKER's atmosphere correctly.
I think that's a little extremist. You have to consider that GSC is most likely going to develop a new engine for STALKER 2. X-Ray is starting to become outdated. On top of which, it's terribly unoptimized and buggy.

I was yelling at the guys to get to the sewer entrances to cover a sneak monolith zerg rush that I was expecting, But then it turned out to be him.
Not that they could hear me though my monitor too.

A good load of their players have shitty computers can only play Stalker on static lighting, That's the main reason there is not much new graphical effects in CS and CoP.
That was the whole point. Everyone thought he was a dick
So wait.. [sp]only after he was brainwashed was he determined to get rid of the zone..? Was his goal to simply meet the Wish Granter in CS?[/sp]

Where did you get those?
gauss guns don't appear until the very end of each respective game.
and those aren't space suits. they're anti-rad suits for scientists. like HAZMAT suits.
not to mention all the modern-day weapons and the modern day setting.
you haven't paid much attention to game reviews and stuff, have you? :raise:
Wait, so you're saying that space is not hazardous?
What's wrong with you?

I have enough trust in the developers to at least wait and see what it'd be like. People jump to conclusions way too easily.

In order to understand our selves, we must first understand space being hazardous. The constantly changing fashionable take on space being hazardous demonstrates the depth of the subject. Remarkably space being hazardous is heralded by shopkeepers and investment bankers alike, leading many to state that it is yet to receive proper recognition for laying the foundations of democracy. It is estimated that that space being hazardous is thought about eight times every day by the aristocracy, who just don't like that sort of thing.

Economics has been defined as 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine.' To my learned ear that sounds like two people with itchy backs. Of course, space suits fits perfectly into the Watkis-Teeth-Pulling model, a lovely model.

It is apparent from the graph that the influence of space suits is strong. What is the secret to its strength? Clearly housing prices has always depended upon space suits to a certain extent, but now more that ever. Strong fluctuations in investor confidence have been seen over the past two financial years.
Goddamn who invited these fucking dinosaurs
I live in Ukraine.
Lizard. Those ain't Space suits. They're suits desinged for protecting the user from radiation, acid, fire, poisonous gasses and the Zone's anomalies. They're NOT desinged to be weared when in space, even if they seem to look like they are! The reason why they have a Sphere helmet is because the FOV of every other god-damn government suit they have in the games is awful!

I'm pretty sure it was a sargasm

Orgasm by sarcasm?
Okay

Ha, I have a bit of developer experience under my belt, and I can tell you that atmosphere is up to the artist's discretion.

Anyways, now that we've gotten to the end of that let's talk about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. What's up with X-16? It seems to be entirely populated by Bandits.

While many learned professors have abandoned hope of ever discovering the truth behind X-16 sucks, I for one feel that it is still a worthy cause for examination. Underestimate X-16 sucks at your peril. Remarkably X-16 sucks is heralded by shopkeepers and investment bankers alike, leading many to state that X-16 sucks is not given the credit if deserves for inspiring many of the worlds famous painters. Often it is seen as both a help and a hinderence to those most reliant on technology, obviously. Relax, sit back and gasp as I display the rich tapestries of how theX-16 sucks.

How do we explain these clear trends? Of course the annual military budget cannot sustain this instability for long. A sharp down turn in middle class investment may lead to changes in the market.
I'm fairly sure that he hit the "g" by mistake. I hope.

Name a couple reasons why I should play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
A couple of things you should know:
-No, I'm not trolling.
-I've been meaning to get into this series but for some reason never did
-I'm squeamish and even games like F.E.A.R. scare me..

It really depends on your style. If you played FEAR then STALKER will scare you at a few points. And don't listen to Lizard_xing, he's a troll.
