DayZ Mod - Crawling Simulator 2012 Dammit rocket what did you break this time? - Games

One shot headshot - I'm dead, lost all this fucking gear because some cunt was in the right place at the wrong time. I quit this fucking mod. Wow, I was just somewhere north of devils castle when suddenly I hear a grenade go off and i shit myself and hide. As I was laid in the grass the 3 people i presumed to throw the grenade walk past. I sit so fucking still in the hope they don't spot me when suddenly I get a message on facebook. I alt tab back in and my Saw happens to fucking spray [U][B]EVERYWHERE[/B][/U]. Needless to say I get shot to death. Atleast someone has nice loot now ;-;

You just got very lucky with the loot / vehicle you found, and because karma is a bitch, you ended up getting really unlucky at the wrong moment.

MP5SD, M14, G17, Coyote backpack, tons of cooked meat, all necessary equipment - good bye. Or when I had to re-spawn when another fully equipped character fell off the stairs in Devil's Castle and I didn't have any morphine left and the damn game spawned one on the stairs and I couldn't climb up there with broken bones. Such is life in Chernarus. That's what I was meaning about the game being unfair. You die when picking a firefight with the wrong person, making a bad tactical decision, whatever, that's part of it. Random deaths and glitches shouldn't be.

I really can only see myself going back if I'm rather extremely bored, if I find another M24 in a firestation right off the bat in Elektro, or if I can find a hack that just lets me spawn stuff. Both are much easier to find, and if you're desperate for top-tier loot then you probably shouldn't be playing solo, since all you'd end up doing is getting into sniper fights or being targeted for your gear. Unless you planned on just sitting on a building sniping at people. In which case, see ya.

Lesson learned is that I can die at any moment so why bother investing in effort and frustration when it can be taken away like that bullshit. So in light; hacks.

I've lost NVGs, a Mk 48 LMG, a Coyote Backpack full of goodies, because the sun was in my eyes when I was trying to shoot someone climbing up towards me on a ladder. There's also the time that my friends and I found a bunch of trucks and drove them far into the northern forest, packed with goodies, but the Hive reset meant we lost them all. If all you care about is gaining the best loot and sitting on it, then you might as well go play something else, like BF3. The hacks are probably cheaper for BF3, too.

Gear is kind of a big deal since it's the main enticing point of DayZ (you know, go on that holy pillage to the airfield and come back to the coast with goodies). Deny it all you want, no-one is happy with a Makarov and Enfield for eternity.
