DayZ Mod - Crawling Simulator 2012 Dammit rocket what did you break this time?

Dayz servers are an interesting social study
From my experiences Russian servers seem to be the most aggressive, with snipers firing at you from every hillside..
Anyway, found an AK-47 and 5 mags and I hear a sniper shot, sorry to say but I disconnected.....
HEY GUYS, GUYS HEAR ME OUT, LIKE WHAT IF.. GUYS? ok so what about this for a feature:
Cannibalism!
You've seen movies like "the road" and "book of eli"
So it's a pretty well known fact that when food turns scarce eventually people will start nibbling their mate!
This would add a new level of fear, bandits killing you to cook your rump!
You walk up to that corpse, and you should have to cook it like an animal as just eating it straight from the body is too easy.
Give me some feedback on that
And if I see one of you schmucks suggesting this to rocket and claiming creds I'm screencapping this timestamp yo.

I found a sniper once on top of the huge industrial building in Cherno, I walk up to her and smash her with my crowbar a few times, then she disappears into the floor and appears on the roof adjacent to me, shoots me with her Lee Enfield, then I hide behind a building and lo and behold, there she is again, she shoots me again and I'm dead.
anybody else getting a bad version while trying to join 133?
Today was a surprisingly good day.
Wandered through Chernogorsk without hearing a single gunshot, and raided a castle without accidentally hurling myself over the edge or down the stairs.
Got an ALICE pack, a CZ550 and AK-74, two magazines for each, M1911 with four mags, plenty of morphine, bloodbags, painkillers, and bandages.
Also, Mountain Dew. Never drinking it. :v:

Yeah cannibalism has been an interesting topic that's been thrown around before. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but it at least seems like it would be an interesting addition to see how people would react to it and use it.
US133 is running on a different version.
I updated my beta, is it running on a unreleased one or something?
Doesn't matter anyway because the beta is backwards compatible with other versions
It's just the DayZ version that matters if you have a newer one
And again: shot dead instantly when spawning. Oh well, I could start over but now the game seems so dull.

Take a break. Don't play yourself out and ruin the game for yourself entirely.
still getting a wrong version error. my client says I have an older beta version than 133 but six wont update me.

I can also get into other beta server ust fine that are running the same version. just seems to be 133.
Also just report that Callaghan guy for being a superior douchebag.
my automerge
Is reporting someone for being a pretentious idiot and hypocrite a bannable offence? :v:

I think this post was the last straw:
After providing all of that very clear information, that is the best you can achieve? If you think that there is something forced about it, then please, for the sake of anyone with a brain here, explain how, in a clear and coherent way.
And no, I am not autistic, thanks for asking. If you knew anything about autism then you would know that the last thing they would be suggesting is a complex, social-based game mechanic. So once again, you are parading your ignorance with pride. I will assume you are adolescent or pre-pubescent, and I have a strong feeling i'm right.
Did you watch the suggested lecture? No, of course not.
If you can't lay out your 'argument' in a clear way, without just sounding like an answering machine, then please go away and leave the discussion to the adults.
EDIT - in fact, after having seen several of your very immature and unintelligent posts, i'm just adding you to my ignore list, because I can't be bothered to read anymore of your mindless and childish nonsense. Just saw your profile too, you are 18 years old, you are too young to understand complex social dynamics and things that affect civilisations. Not all people your age have that problem, but it is obvious that you are below average intelligence for your age. For these reasons and others I have stated, I will not have this discussion with you. Finish school, see the wider world, then I will listen to your nonsense a little longer perhaps.
I think we've come to the conclusion that cannibalism will just add more of a reason for people to kill other players unless there are severe side effects which seriously affect how you play the game after going cannibal.
So that little hill near black lake/willow lake is a good place to look for tents and shit?

People need any more reasons?

Implying people won't shoot on sight regardless
Implying people won't shoot on sight regardless
True, but this will give them more of a reason, they already get all of the loot from the dead player as well as a barely noticeable heartbeat when other players look at them (at least I find it quiet compared to the rest of the game), with cannibalism they'll get a bit of extra food.

it won't change much in terms of player hostility so what does it matter
I always start playing awhile after an update, it makes everything interesting again.
found a bicycle, looks like the hull and wheel is damaged.
does this mean i can actually repair them with the right parts?

Well... no. Because reasons for shooting other players are already saturated and justified.
Me and 3 of my friends were cruising on the roads with a yellow hatchback when we took a quick stop at berezino army camp where we found a guy hiding in one of the tents. he shot at my friend but my friend luckily killed the stranger with no effort. then as we were looting as his body we realised that nobody stayed at the car and its engine was running. That's when i saw some other guy driving the car and immediately tried to shoot the wheels but the driver crashed into a house and the car blew up.
I hate some people...
Oh and it happened on Atlanta 21
Mumble is a VOIP (essentially a server for vocal communication) similar to TeamSpeak or Ventrilo. Mumble is tailored specifically for gaming, so it has a built-in display in the top right corner while in-game which tells you who is in the respective channel you're in without being too intrusive. You can download it here and use the Mumble IP information in the OP to connect and chat with other FPers who are playing. To save you the trouble of going back, here's the information for the server:

Thanks for the help :)
Also, guys, I don't have an expansion/beta folder in my Arma 2 OA folder. I just have an expansion folder. So this means I can't get the Arma2OA.exe the instructions tell me to get.
Man, airfield loot kinda sucks most of the time.
Gonna start looting the northern wastelands.
Oh and as soon as we started heading north, we found an ATV with no fuel and a bad engine. Full of weapons. Unfortunately none of it was useful to us so we left it there. Hope whomever it belongs to gets their loot back as we didn't feel like destroying it.
And we also found an odd pile of like 3 tents in the middle of nowhere. I grabbed one and we both ran.
Joining server with my brother (volts) rn. I don't have mumble and we're both noobs. I'll be trying to scavenge for a weapon around elektro, find me if you want to chill (or kill)
How does he get ARMA to look like that? For some reason, my game is blurry and fuzzy. It's still playable, and I can make things out, but on high settings it's just all blurry, it isn't sharp and crisp like that.
Check your settings lol.
3D resolution must = Monitor resolution if you want the game to actually render at the resolution you're playing at. Duh.

Thank you. I googled the answer and some guy referred to the blurryness as "beer goggles" which made me laugh.
Oh wow. After swapping out the AK-74 I found earlier for an AKs-74 Kobra, I got totally lost and wandered through the forest until I reached a town.
Thinking it was just another obscure village that people only passd through, I ran there through an open field, even shooting a boar for some meat.
I was basically just carelessly skeedaddling around the town, until I spotted a military tent and realized with creeping horror that I was in Stary Sobor, one of the best places to catch a bullet.
Pants were shat, figuratively of course.
:(
I was on this one life for about 5 or 6 days with a friend. After going all around inland, from Gorka, to Polana, Stary Sobor, Berezino, we went everywhere together. On the 2nd day I believe, my friend broke his legs at Gorka. We had no morphine left, so we had to go all the way to Berezino while crawling. Took awhile, but we found some morphine on the streets near the hospital, and he was good. We looted the rest of the hospital and the supermarket, then left for Polana for more supermarket goods.
After getting to Polana, we found a survivor. After some scouting around and getting some small peaks of him, we finally found him in the supermarket, getting some good. We kill him and get lots of goodies, Alice pack, we found morphine and blood in the supermarket, food, water, etc. We then set off to Stary to get weapons and goodies.
Once we got to Novy, my friend broke his legs at a barn, fell off some stairs. No worries, I bandaged him up, gave him morphine, pain killers, and blood. Problem was, it emptied most of our supplies. We continue on to Stary, and once we get there my friend decided to use his pistol to kill zombies instead of our trusty hatchets. It alerts a bunch of zombies, and I break my legs, and we have no morphine. No worries, a supermarket is nearby, and there's a bunch of tents, we're going to find morphine in one of these?
Sadly, we find no morphine in the tents or the supermarket. On the plus side, my friend got an AK74 and I got an MP5, so at least we had something. My friend decided to set off without telling me where he's going to find some morphine. Sadly, he breaks his legs too, so now we're a crippled duo. We start going all the way back to Berezino. My friend decided he doesn't want to do it, and he wants me to kill him. So I axe him in the face, killing my friend.
So I crawl all the way to Berezino and it takes about a day of crawling to get there (about an hour and a half of playing, crawling gets boring). I make it to the hospital, and start to climb up a ladder to the roof. Sadly, I get stuck on the edge. I try rolling and it doesn't work, so as I stand up to vault my body starts to slide down the wall, then I fall, and die.
