Me and a buddy were raiding a building with two big sliding doors on one side and a smaller back door on the other side, just outside of Elecktro. We were looting the place and we found an AK47u (I think is what its called), an AK, and found another AK47u laying on the ground. Since we didn't have the space to carry it, we left it on the ground. By that time a couple of zombies found their way into the building, so we decided that we were going to hatchet them down and not attract more.
Then we hear gunshots and someone come over the mic asking if we were friendly. This was our first major encounter with another player since we started so we were a bit leery of him at first. He had an enfield on him and was making a dash to the building where we were located. We told him "Yes, were friendly." and let him in, helping him kill off the zombies chasing him. Since he was shooting/sprinting, he attracted a horde of zeds and they started pouring in from each side of the building. We started to make our way to the back where the stairs were located, then Matt got smacked by a zed and started to bleed. He told us "I don't have any bandages.", so I used one of mine on him to help him out.
Not 10-15 seconds later I notice that the AK47u we left on the ground was gone, and Matt aiming it right at me. That fucker shot me and my friend killing us both. He managed to kill the remainder of the zombies in the building, loot our bodies and get out clean. Our loot combined was something like
3-4 cans of beans
One of each tool, minus NVG
Canteens
2-3 things of morphine
3-4 blood bags
Our guns
and ammo that could last us a couple of days.
I've always read never to trust anyone in DayZ but reading these posts made me believe there was some good out that. Until Matt came along and crushed my beliefs in one fowl swoop of douche baggary.
We've since changed our mindset to, kill anyone we encounter.

Being a dick out of spite due to getting fucked over [i]once[/i] isn't a very good way to play. The encounters you have with others is what makes or breaks this game. Shooting every Dick and Jane that passes you by turns you into an asshole.
Don't put so much trust in people, but don't go out of your way and kill every single person you meet. That just makes you as much of a douchebag as this Matt guy.

I guess kill anyone we encounter was a bad way of putting it. We usually like to avoid confrontation, but if were noticed, our trust level is very low.

Got killed in the first minute i spawned, was outside stary.

Anyone want to partner up with me? I'm gonna hop on mumble (so it'd be great if you had mumble too) and I'll be ready within an hour to play.
Basically just adventure together and be total bros, look out for each other. I will bandage you when you're hurt and nurse you up to better health (I make killer chicken soup).
I just want someone I can trust to go adventuring with, so if anyone's interested in starting out with a noob (in DayZ, I'm decent enough at ARMA) let me know :)

I love how the DayZ forums has people who legitimately think that adding forced bandit skins again will end all random PVP ever.
Did these people even play the game?
Also the people who say 'only bandits group up'. Maybe, I dunno, the groups of people just don't want to lose anyone, so they shoot on sight? That's not what being a bandit is.

Just raided the test alliance camp, blew up their shit, uploading video now
Well, we tested Operation FrogLegs.
one dude runs through NW Airfield and fires at some zeds, pisses off the whole horde and kites them in circles in and out of the firestation while the rest of the group loots the buildings.
Went great until the group ran off and as I was doing the final cycle into the firestation my legs got clipped by a zed. Group ran back as I crawled into the building, somehow not bleeding at all, and we mowed them all down.

We changed servers cause the lag tolerance kept kicking me, and because of where we spawned we decided to loot NW again. Well, loot was dirt still... but on the way out we found a heli wreck [I]on the tarmac[/I].
So, being the daring people we are, we decided to check it out. We slinked up, and loot was pretty lame except for an FAL. I swapped it for the scoped one I had cause I can't use it most of the time.
Well on the way away from the wreck, we're scooting across the tarmac all fine-

And then we got up and just sprinted for like a half mile. We don't know why he didn't shoot again, but he didn't.
The M107 is an anti-material rifle, so does that mean it can one shot cars or something along those lines?

Spawn in, see guy with AS50 and a friend sniping, sneak up, take Bizon out of his bag, friend turns around, disconnect.
Came back a few minutes later, they were still there, but they shot me as soon as I spawned in.

Oh god man, I was dying in the tower and took a break, decided to join this server and hop on, took some bandages and shit, saved my life thanks.
But as I was leaving, I headed past the factory area, came out of the bush and suddenly there's a survivor there, sitting, I get scared and unload 2 rounds into him, he's dead, he fires off a round as he dies, his name pops up along with another, I notice I only have 1 murder, weird. I check out the bodies and I see another one, his buddy, I feel pretty shit at this point, they don't have much I grab some ammo and turn around, then I see a third body, a guy in a ghillie suit. I didn't kill 3 people, so what I'm thinking is I just had a Mexican stand off and won.
