While looting, I randomly glitched out of a building and broke my bones. Great, all my progress lost.

I know that feeling, I ran began running from Berezino to Gorka and a zombie managed to hit me in the leg when I tried vaulting a fence. The crawl back to Berezino hospital was probably the most patience testing event ever.

You would effectively have 2 characters. One on the FP server, and one on every other server.

Yes, it would have its own little baby hive. Completely independent from the Hive DB, therefor less lag and the ability to password etc.

I thought Rocket said that he doesn't allow servers to have a password and he wants all the servers to be connected, unless that's changed?

Plus the server would be unaffected by any global issues, like HIVE going down.

That sounds amazing. I have wanted a second character for a long while.
Add more vehicles, make them somehow reset when unused, and lower or kill the wirefencing spawnrate, and you'll have the best DayZ server.
Make me stop having to defend myself It's becoming to the point where I just lay out of sight and peacefully watch people looting.

Hell I don't understand why rocket doesn't do something like this. Make each server or a bunch of servers run a separate hive with a separate set of rules (different health, different zed damage, different item spawns, different vehicle spawns) and see what works best, then use that on the next iteration of the mod.
It's an alpha after all.

You aren't ever gonna need to go through 60 bullets in one session. If you do, you're taking on an army or are a terrible shot. Take the AKM. It's reliable accurate, nice and loud, and deadly. One pop and watch that survivor drop.
PS disconnecting from a session refills your mag for some reason. So basically if you keep one bullet in the mag and then log out and come back you get all 29 of those shots back.

Lee "Loudest" Einfield with 50 rounds, 1 hit kill, semi auto only.
AKM, 60 rounds, 1-2 hit kills, fullauto or semi auto.
