Drove it down the road casually, suddenly just start doing backflips for no apparent reason and ended up in a forest on fire, with my legs broken. Never driving another vehicle unless it has at least 4 wheels.

Running to the power grid North of Cherno and getting shot at. Whoever that was, nice aim.

Someone sniped me in Stary and I spawned in Elektro. A friend spawned there too and said there were two vehicles near a fuel tank. I picked up a colt 1911 and went over to them. They had one of those big civilian supply trucks and a pickup truck. I killed the driver of the supply truck and then I was killed by someone else. I spawned in Elektro and got a makarov, almost killed someone but they DCed, then snuck around. While they were firing and looking for me, I snuck behind them and took their pickup truck. I drove away and they continued to fire at me. My friend in the mean time kept getting killed by running towards them unarmed and saying he's friendly. I kept the car for more than an hour before I crashed into the smallest pinetree and it broke my engine and wheel in the middle of nowhere. At least I got a M14 AIM and an alice from those kids.

Words can't describe my happiness when I found food/water whilst the icons were flashing red :v:

I kinda wish that there was a disadvantage from being a bandit. I know the skin sends a red flag to any player to shoot on site but the player killing seems out of hand. I don't think people would actually just kill others out of cold blood if it was in real life, which this game is trying to work towards; realism. I don't know how to balance it, maybe with each kill over a certain number their screen moves towards black and white, colors get less vibrant. That might be an incentive to not player kill because I know that I would rather die and start over than have to keep playing on low health and crappy visuals all over the place.

I doubt it can be helped. PVP is a feauture and you don't need to ruin the fun of it.

I swirved to avoid a tree, hitting [i]another[/i] tree as a result. Suddenly I'm on the floor with my legs broken, unconcious and die in seconds... In hindsight though, tractor + forest never really was a good idea.

So, my friends and I have made probably 2 sweeps of the northern wastelands, and we've not seen anything interesting at ALL. We were hoping to find a camp or something, but all we found is animals.

Attention players : there is a massive snipersquad in Elektro, south of the powerstation. If you go anywhere near it, then you will be shot at by multiple semi-automatic rifles. These are the same guys who already nearly shot me to death, and after close observation there are at least 4 men with sniper rifles hunting down anyone who tries to loot/exit Elektro. I saw 2 guys running away and they got mowed down like they were getting shot at by machineguns, but these really are a squad of players who have a metric ton of ammo and a mission to kill. This might also be the same group of players that's been making airfield their personal hunting grounds, so be warned, all ye who enter here abandon hope

We have been doing this for 6 hours today. So MUCH BLOOD.

Do zombie actually react to tin cans and bottles you throw? I've thrown a few, but the zombies don't seem to notice.

FYI the restart goes like this, so server locks for 10 minutes to prevent players from joining. 10 minute warning, lock, 5 minute warning, 1 minute warning, restart+unlock

found a bizon, an FAL, l85 and a m249 all in the same chopper crash then later that day stumbled across some ones camp and stole their blue van and UAZ most productive day so far! to bad the next day they cars were gone

Found a camping tent lying in the forest not put up by someone just lying there in the bag shawiiing

We found an ATV w/o fuel got some nice loot from it, and also found an MP5SD6 with silenced ammo now I have the survival kit and I can live in north forever

Oh man my first good play through and I get my leg instantly broken by a zombie! haha

I wonder if at some point Rocket will change the way you fix broken legs, because at the moment taking a one-off shot of morphine to fix a broken bone probably isn't as realistic as he would like.

Woah. Some bandit was looting the store right in the building under me. After I shot him I proceeded to loot his body and backpack. I took his ALICE backpack along with all the fucking great stuff. Nightvision etc. :dance:

are the snipers still in elektro?

I kinda wish there was a feature that could let me just go muck about and explore the different aspects of the game, as well as the towns without being horrified that I'll die and lose all of my survival gear/guns... Fat lot of good being careful did for me yesterday, you hacker douchebags.

Just got Combined Ops and plan on playing DayZ, any tips for a beginner? I'm gonna be in a squad with a few friends as well so I'll hopefully be good.
