DayZ Mod - Crawling Simulator 2012 Dammit rocket what did you break this time? - Games

The difference with rocket is we didn't pay him, so he could give up now if he wanted. Not that he would.

A story about a new players first day on the Facepunch server: Day: 0 Kaneka* (*I Have no idea if that was the actual name of the city) At first, i have no idea what is going on. I see a nearby town and decide i will just rush to it. It turns out, that zombies can hear you way easier if you run. With my incredible scavenging skills, i pickup a Lee Einfield in a building, while i'm being surrounded by zombies. I decide to shoot them, which turns out to attract even more zombies. After killing 8 zombies, i continue on to scavenge the other buildings. Current Status: Kaneka, 8 zombies killed, 3 headshots, 0 bandages left, 9000 blood, 10 bullets left. After scavenging about 3 bandages, i accidently attracts a single zombie and shoot him. Though i learned my lesson and instantly sprint as far away as i can, while i can see the zombies running from the town to the point where i shot. Current Status: Kaneka, 9 zombies killed, 4 headshots, 3 Bandages, 9000 blood, 9 bullets. (And a hatchet, wooh!) I decide to run off to the nearest forest and look into my inventory. "What's this, a hatchet?!", so i chop down every single tree i can find, untill i fill up my inventory. After that, i decide to follow a path through a lot of fields. After running a bit, i see a house. While im not quite sure if there is a zombie there or not, i rush towards it, and discover, there is indeed a zombie there. On the first hit it gets on me, it broke my leg, but i manage to kill it. Since i cannot do anything but crawl, i had to shoot 2 more zombies to stay alive. Current status: Some house in some fields: Somewhere??, 12 zombies killed, 4 headshots, 2 bandages, 7000 blood, 3 bullets and 0 legs. A friend told me you needed morphine to heal your legs, so i decided to come on to facepunch to ask if anyone was nearby. And i get distracted and when i finally realise i didnt logout, i was already dead. I like this game.

won't be able to play for a week, on a computer without dayz. Will playing with our own mini hive allow us to lock the server?

Wow. This game is fucking crazy. And I love it. First day on the game, me and my friend are traveling north, and immediately after finding a hangar where a bus spawns apparently, we're bumrushed by about 20 zombies. I only had a double barrel with 2 shots in it, and my friend was flat out of ammo. We start running away from the zombies and hear gun shots, and flip the fuck out. We hear "Friendly?" over voice, my friend responds "Yes." then immediately the guy who said that starts unloading into the zombies chasing us. He gets a few down, then we give him some blood and bandages, and start running again as more zombies are after us. We find his name was wisel, and continued running as he shot zombies for us. Here's where shit gets crazy. We had 20 more zombies on us, and they broke my legs. All I could do being new to the game is just try and crawl to my friend, who under zombie fire gave me morphine to fix my legs, and by this point we don't even fucking know where the other guy went. But he pretty much saved our asses from the first wave of zombies, where certain death was going to occur. We pretty much lost him after we got away from all the zombies. As we're traveling a bit further away from all the zombies we escaped, we see in the chat log : "Wisel has died." I've never been more sad over someone dying in a game in my life. Wish we could've tagged along with him and helped. Overall, I ended my first session with a makarov, a lot of bandages, a double barrel, some food, a watch, and a hunting knife. God I love this game.

how do i get myself up when i've been hurt? i'm on the ground and any effort to get up just makes me lie back down, i'm inside a large building near a town with many floors and a barn on the side

And the odds are any given hospital is very, very far away from you. First think you should do when you spawn is get your hands on some morphine. The chances of getting your legs fucked up by zombies has been lowered, and annihilated completely at higher blood levels, but it's as good as an instakill without morphine.

If you have morphine or you know anyone that does and can get to you, you can get yourself on your feet in no time.

Oh man. I left the game last at some barracks, and when I logged into the FP server, I heard two distinctly different gunshots from different sides, and apparently I spawned right in the middle of a gunfight between someone with an M4 and someone with a CZ550. I waited it out, and I think they either left, or killed each other :v:

I've officially given up on getting this game to work! I finally got evreything "working" (in the sense that it stopped giving me errors at startup about missing CABuilding files) yet whenever I try and join a server, I get kicked out and told that my version is different.

I played tonight, and my dad just watched me play for the entire two hours or so, because he wants to play the game so much. I saw more (dead) survivors than ever before tonight. Saw 3 or 4 dead survivors. One of them, I started to walk up to, because there was a pistol near it, and someone threw a chemlight at a building across from me. And then another chemlight landed like 10 feet from me. I proceeded to get the fuck out of there very quickly. Never got to check the body.

Of course, in close range combat it's very much hit or die, but if you [i]do[/i] hit then you're going to make someone very dead. It's the rifle I've gotten the most kills with, against both people and zombies. Hell, ff it doesn't hit, at least it frightens the piss out of people.

Thank you scorn whoever you were, I really needed those food and drinks you had on your body (I mean that is a sadistic way as it was fun shooting you in the leg and letting the zombies eat you at the airfield) :v: I always find my DayZ character goes like this, if I am stacked with NVGs, GPS, and basically all your best end game shit I never have tons of food or water or medical crap. But if I barely have any of that but ok weapons and stuff I'm stacked with medical crap, food and water, shit makes no sense

I can't see any lights in the game, unless I am in NVG mode. IE, flashlights, chem lights, road flares.
