So about that 1.7.2 update...

I am the only one who hates the fags who put tank traps and razor wire to block all door ways. Making looting a house with no one in it a serious hassle and waste of time.

I cleared a bunch of buildings in Chernogorsk today of barbed wire, I hope you faggots are grateful.

I had a map, gps, and a watch and was lost. Wasn't until I reconnected I realized I was near sorry sobor. Compass give you at least the direction and if you played Arma 2 enough you know the direction you should head.

How do I turn the GPS on?

I just repaired the hull and fuel tank of my car, but a few hours later they were both broken again. Is the car bugged or do I need to repair everything (I think the wheels are on their way out)?

GPS gives your location as a grid reference. assuming you are zoomed in a little on the map, first 3 numbers is your X axis, the last 3 numbers is your Y axis. GPS also allows you to set a waypoint on the map (have done on other server once, havent had GPS on FP server yet, died)

I love it when you don't give a fuck if you die or not. I started a new character after previously dying multiple times by dolphin-diving off of towers and the like. I decide to actually try to accrue gear, but I accept that I'm going to die before I find anything special. Suddenly, I find an ALICE pack... Then a ghillie suit... Then two tents... Then a toolbox... Then an AKM... Then a Makarov... Which I then traded out for a revolver... And it just kept snowballing from there. I found a CZ 550 in a barn outside of Chernogorsk, and then found an M14 AIM inside of the northern firestation in Elektro, throwing away the CZ 550 in exchange. Now I'm wandering about with a lot of decent gear and still not giving a fuck if I die or not. [editline]3rd July 2012[/editline] This was all in an hour or so span of time.

Wasn't even in shock and I joined in unconscious in the middle of a huge field north of Novy. Wonderful.

Found an unarmed player outside cherno, said hello and gave him some cooked meat. Was going to give him a spare hatchet, but he decided to continue his search. He later died , oh well.

Another good day of DayZ, me and my friend went from Cherno to Stary Sobor, we got knocked out about 5 times (he did anyways, fucking made me use all my epipens,) he got a winchester and a M24, I got a bunch of ammo and a shitty G17 with a flashlight, and, under about 10 frames per second due to my shitty second computer, got my first murder. Overall, day was intense and awesome.

I spawned unconscious in debug field and some guy was nearby. He said in direct voicechat that he had a huge pile of bodies, and said I was going to join them. Then he dragged me to the pile and shot me while I was still unconscious. It was scary.
