DayZ Mod - Crawling Simulator 2012 Dammit rocket what did you break this time? - Games

Had an awesome time on Australian server Was heading in Elektro, spotted this unarmed guy and he was heading near coast. I started talking to him on mic, turns out I didn't have it on (so I was talking to myself for 5 minutes and was wondering what the fuck I was doing) and turned it on. Gave him some food and water, along with a hatchet. He had a mic too, so we looked around Elektro and headed into Cherno. I let him kill Zeds because I wanted a silent approach. As we headed in Cherno, found him a Lee Enfield and was a little worried that he would turn around and shoot me (after all I had a AK-74, alice pack with lots of goodies) but he didn't. After hearing gunshots getting closer and closer to us, we snuck out. I lagged like shit as we headed out Cherno so had to stop every now and again. But we headed towards Kozlovka where he broke his legs in a barn and gave him my only Morphine. After barely passing 20 zeds in Kozlovka, we decided to go right from Drozhino and head to Green Mountain. Once we got there, killed some military zeds and got some Morphine. Before that, we found some animals and cooked some meat. We headed to the top, found a Toolbox (which is what I'll need when I head inland further). Saluted each other and logged off. Loved it, he said I was the first person I ran into that didn't kill him. He only started playing DayZ yesterday, where as I've been playing for 2 or so months. My current character is 10+ days old. His name is Gridlocked and this was our journey on the map: [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/cNaer.jpg[/IMG] I've killed over 100+ zeds with no murders. Direct chat is pretty fucking cool once you find someone (guess I can stop being pissed about losing side chat now) who is friendly. Little concerned that I'm getting low on food and drink, but a quick stop at Zelengorsk and raid the nearby villages, should supply myself for awhile.

Theres a guy sniping on US133 on the mountain between Elektro and Cherno. But he's sniping zombies, I was running through and got spotted, he shot three zombies off me and when I looked at him with my binoculars and he was saluting. Thank you sniper man :3

I am an idiot. Strolled through Berezino with all my sweet sweet loot today. Then, I found an ATV on the docks. Thrilled to have found a vehicle, I immediately hopped on it to check it for damage. Things were looking pretty good, tank half full, wheels and hull in mint condition. The engine and fuel tank were both shot to hell, but hey - in the middle of an industrial complex, how hard can it be? I found engine parts, spare wheels, and spare jerry cans on my trip, but no fuel tank. I found TWO main rotor assemblies, but no bloody fuel tank. After about half an hour of searching, I attracted a horde of Zeds, and in my despair, I fled back to the ATV. In that single crucial second, I had a brainfart. I jumped on the ATV. And I sped up. And I drove about 2 metres before the ATV violently exploded BECAUSE I FORGOT ABOUT THE BROKEN FUEL TANK. I survived the initial explosion, but not the horde of zeds it attracted. Fuck.

Yaay! Just got my hands on my first firearm (an m1014 with slug rounds), and seconds later i got mowed down by someone.. I didn't even have time to fire it..

Quick question, would it be useful to install Arma on an SSD rather than on a HDD? I have a smallish (128Gb) SSD, so I tend no to install many games on it. Would it be beneficial for DayZ?

So what direction do i have to run to get to the ~playable area~ from the NEW debug plains? Hmm strange no matter where i go i get teleported to the exact same spot i spawn in...

Had a really intense fight at NW airfield. 6 of us went and raided the airfield, we had our driver, sniper and 4 raiders. Sniper setup at the north of the base which was a pretty shit spot, we tried debating it with him but he had a temper tantrum (we don't usually play with him). The driver was in charge of constantly going up and down the airfield in the UAZ to distract the zeds, it worked well. 2 of us went and checked the north bunkers and the airfield bases/houses w/e. The other 2 of us went and checked the firestation, the 6 extra bunkers and the control tower. We cleared it all out, found some extra ammo, food, a few more weapons and shit. We were about to check out the last few buildings at the south entrance. Can't remember what they're called, but out of nowhere we were crossing the airfield and the guy I was with hit the ground, he died. A few more shots fire and I hit the deck, I saw about 2 people crawling. I hit P to make sure they hadn't dced or whatever, but found that the dickheads all had clan tags, so i was looking out for 4 people in total. I then sat there for another 5 - 10 minutes seeing if could see them again, they were crawling along the tree-line. So I started firing some pot shots at them, I hit one in the head, he died. They then started crawling around and shit for another 10 or so minutes, I then opened up again and killed another one of them. They then started crouch walking, so I waited untill they went to loot their friends stuff. One of them got near the body, I killed him, the last guy then ran off. I went to search for the bodies, only found two though. The third and fourth guy had dced, sadly. I waited a few more minutes then went and checked the bodies, got an m16, 12 stanag rounds, coyote backpack and some more sheet. Wish I recorded it. :( Also watching 50 zombies chasing a UAZ is hilarious

Is the mumble server in the OP still the one that is used?

Who was driving the bus thru Elektro yesterday on US133? I was in the fire station and all I could hear was a faint honking until it got louder and louder, and then all I could see was the bus zooming down the road.

Were you the guy holding the hatchet? On my second pass through the city I got shot with an AK and went down to 3k blood.
