So i haven't played in about a month, and i see the AI got improved pretty massively. How do you sneak past zombies now that you can't just prone and go right infront of their face?

Rocket - the mod guy responsible for the monster known as Dayz - has stated he never thought it would take off like it has, and was caught a little off guard by its popularity. because of sheer numbers, we are going to get more players who want the "hand held though it all" experience, instead of figuring it out as you go. personally figuring it out as you go is the best part. of course i am a middle aged divorced fat guy living in his parents' basement, so i might be overly intelligent compared with most and i shouldn't use my ability to muddle my way through and figure things out after MASSIVE MISTAKES and learning from them... I joined forces with two guys on a Skype call. This was so much fun. I spawn in Cherno, I loot the church and the supermarket and find a makarov with only one mag. They tell me to stay in the supermarket, they're 5 minutes away. Then a guy comes in. I stay crouched looking at him, and he starts shooting at me with his makarov. I return fire and he flees to the back of the shop. I tell my friends to come as quickly as possible. The guy comes back, I have no ammo left. I hide in the middle of the shop behind the shelves, he's behind the counter. Somehow he opens fire, shoots an entire mag and hits me like three times. Broken leg, shock, bleeding, 4000 blood. I was sure that I would die. At this very moment, my friends arrive, open the door of the supermarket, one of them shouts "BANG BANG MOTHERFUCKER" over direct chat and the other dumps an M4 mag in his body full-auto and kills him. This felt so awesome, we couldn't stop laughing. Later, we were regrouping in the church in Elektro. We get inside the church, start looting a bit and the Skype call cuts out. One of my friends got disconnected and starts running into a wall. About two seconds later, three guys come running into the church. I get killed right away, as I was in the back of the church, and my friend wiho was on the right side manages to take two of them out with his FAL before going down. About one minute later, the other friend got his connection back and got back on Skype, and we told him to log back in as fast as he could. He logged in and took two guys out - somehow there was another guy who came inside the church after we died. I managed to spawn back in Elektro and get to the church to get my stuff back. Was good fun, but really, how were the odds that we get rushed just as one of us gets disconnected? After that, we took another guy out. We were heading back to the hills and a sniper opens fire on us, from god knows where. He manages to land a headshoton one of us (of about 10 bullets, only one hit). He spawned back in Elektro, me and the other survivor managed to spot him on a hill. The guy who got killed got towards them to create a distraction, and the guy started running after him with his pistol out while shouting "Come here! Don't run! I will get you!" over direct chat. :v: My friend then took him out with a headshot from his M4 from 200 meters away. Now we have an M24. :v: And since, for some reason, they had been stockpiling DMR mags for a while, we have 100 bullets for it. Awesome.

So we were on edge.

It's still high, but when you spend the day running 100km's with a M249 SAW in a ghillie suit, not stopping for a break, I can safely say this isn't exactly realistic.

So we've finally establishing a force of sea-faring post-apocalyptic pirates. We're flying the SBGF (Supreme Banana Guerrilla Force) banner as of right now, (not literally in-game obviously) [IMG]http://media.steampowered.com/steamcommunity/public/images/avatars/4c/4c3097768cef214dc5fd85882f59b1b0a062addb_full.jpg[/IMG] and we've amassed a crew of five people, split between two vessels, a PBX and a Small Boat. Me and a comrade of mine were alone at first, going up the coast to retrieve that Small Boat and get some jerry cans fueled up at a gas station. Then three others of our ragtag band got online, so I went down to extract them at the Cherno docks while my comrade headed off to our destination. (He needed the head start, trust me.) I picked the other three up, and we went up the coast ALMOST without incident. I was at a cool 27 degrees Celsius the whole trip, and I am fucking amazed I haven't gotten an infection yet. I also noticed out in the middle of the sea I was bleeding and was at 2.8k blood, so that was a bit of a panic for us all as we stopped on Drakon Island and got a fire going to recuperate. We then found a poor player across the channel on the docks lieing down, and the other guys were taking potshots at the guy, eventually killing him to my dismay (this guy OBVIOUSLY had a flashlight, it was clearly visible.) R.I.P. East Elektro Docks Dude v2. (Also known as "Robert", apparently.) So then we all eventually met up with the other guy in the Small Boat, we moored at our dock for the night and had another fire, and thus ends this part of my DayZ survival story.
