Bear traps are obviously just more griefing tools. I've been killed time and time again, I'm not mad. Rule 1. "You're going to die, and lose everything. Accept that." So? Missions, quests, or some sort of goal is against the whole point of the mod, which is to survive. Why turn this into another linear mod? Having a separate game mode for what you want to see in this game may be a good idea though.
And why did they remove the L85? I only ever found one, and it was perfectly balanced. Don't remove any of the weapons, they're all good how they are.

There have been notes in txt files in the pbos that point towards little side missions for people.
Searched the whole airstrip, killed 4 people, got an M4 and a slienced pistol. Found a humvee on my way out, saved my humvee, went to bed, woke up, played Dayz and it restarted my character

If Rocket added some sort of enemy that would really require more than one player to kill, and if you aggro it by yourself, it'd result in certain death, you'd be forced to group up so you can kill it and raid that part of the city, or the city itself. That'd be pretty sweet.

all it would do is force the players who are alone into certain spots of the map since they know they'll die if they go to x village with the super duper zombie monster
I might raise maxping to 350 for aussies, I see them always being kicked out for high ping every now and then.
No please I don't want bossruns I like the "survive on your own and SOMETIMES you meet a friendly foreigner" feeling it has.

Imagine if a hacker forced everyone into Cherno, built a wire wall around the entire city, removed every persons weapons, and replaced it with a crowbar and then gave whoever was the last man standing a bunch of weapons and a helicopter.

Speaking of which, are more default outfit on the way ? I only saw two for now. Being able to have diverse pants and shirts would help for character identification.

YOu can change your look in the profile settings of ArmA2
I'd love to see random bodies scattered around the world, carrying diaries that can be read for little snippits of story/possible missions (Mention of gun stashes at certain areas, directions to vehicles etc)
addtional points for letting players write diaries to set up traps
