What happened to asking first and shooting later?
My friend and I approached the NW airfield. Said hello on the direct coms channel a couple times over a 20min period. We were crouch-sprinting around the concrete fences when someone fired an M107. We go prone, crawl behind the fence and then someone fires an M203/GP25 at us...
At least I'm comfortable with knowing some idiot wasted a grenade.

Asking first only ever happens on the coast, and only if you are very lucky. Nobody is going to trust anyone they run into at the airfield.

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but a friend has showed me a way to remove zombies by deleting the dayz.pbo file.
Is there anyway this can be fixed at all? I'm not sure how well-known this is, but I'm positive I see people running through zombies like it's noones business..

I was playing with a friend earlier. We logged out on a hill. My friend logged back in (after the whole waiting for character to create mess for like 30 minutes before we found a working server) and died right away. I thought it must have been a glitch. My loading ends, I log in and I see a guy looting the body of my friend litterally 15 meters in front of me. My weapon was holstered somehow, and by the time I got it out I died. Fucker.
So we started again from scratch; lost an M24 and an AKS Kobra with ample amounts of ammo, lots of tools, etc.
My friend spawns in Elektro and finds an M24 right away in the fire station. As soon as he got it (and the one mag), he ran the fuck away to the hills :v:
So yeah, we managed to gear back up in an hour or so, an ALICE each, plenty of food and medical supplies, weapons and ammunition (I have an AK with 6 mags and we both have 1911s and like twelve mags for them). He covered me from the hills while I was scavenging Cherno, it was good fun. And it's kinda nice to hear somebody warning you when zombies or survivor come your way, somehow even more reassuring than having a friend by your side.

I agree that this is interesting, but the "battlelog-like" part I do not care at all. I do not even check the stats of the debug window, apart from blood (and now, visibility).
I have a macbook pro with intel HD 3000 graphics card. If i install windows via bootcamp, will i be able to run this game at all?

It'll continue the old one. Characters are determined by CD-key, not player profile.

I just killed someone in a grocery store, then it said I had two murders, then someone randomly appeared and killed me. I'm pretty sure that the guy who killed me was one of the two people I apparently murdered, so how the fuck did he murder me in turn? Seriously, this isn't even playable at this point.
James can you just rollback the server to 1.7.5 until this shit is fixed for real?

Dammit, i died from some camping survivor in the Krasnotav airstrip control center. He shot first, and I inaccurately shot back nearly a whole clip of my 1911, all which have probably missed. It's not safe there, it was probably some non-FP server hopper. I had a bunch of loot which included a 1911 with all the mags you could have, an ALICE pack, a map, compass, and watch, enough food and supplies to last a few DayZ lifetimes, a toolbox, an 1866, and some other stuff. stop the killing
