Successful trip to Cherno. Hatchet, binoculars, 3 blood bags, 5 morphine, 2 epi-pens, 3 painkillers, 7 bandages and a PM with 4 mags.
What's better Normal FAL or a DMR, I can't decide.
DMR for sniping, FAL for close quarters and medium distances. Currently the FAL is the most powerful assault rifle in the game. Hits even harder than the AKM but makes a bit more noise too, and ammo comes only from crash sites. DMR ammo is relatively easy to find. (Unless by DMR you mean the M14 AIM, which is accurate enough to be occasionally used as a sniper rifle and very capable at close quarters too. I would prefer an M14 any time over an AKM, FAL or DMR.) [editline]12th July 2012[/editline]
I think it's due to the game spazzing out and sometimes teleporting you back in time Haven't had it happen but people have been complaining about it a lot so...
I would never complain about being killed and then resurrected with all my gear.
I tried connecting to US133. Success. Then I found myself on the seashore the starter kit. D/c-d before I could say WTF. On the next server my gear was back and I landed at my original position up north. Phew. Then another re-connection and that god damn glitch put me into the wilderness. Rocket promised to fix the debug glitch "in six hours" two or three weeks ago. What we got instead is the 1.7.2 mess. I'm beginning to hate this game.
DayZ isn't a game. It's a mission. And it gets to the best of us. While the progress has been slow I've certainly had some fun times regardless of the bugs.
I know this is an alpha but it'd be really neat if Rocket added some animations for eating beans and drinking and stuff I'm tired of seeing my guy trying to suck his own dick every time I stop for a drink.
I want better female skin. The current skin has no tits no ass. I also want her breathing and panting to be sexier. Would be so much more entertaining to listen to while running from Kamenka to the NW airfield.
DayZ isn't a game. It's a mission. And it gets to the best of us. While the progress has been slow I've certainly had some fun times.
But it's exactly a *mission* that Rocket forgot to add. After you have all the gear and a capable rifle there's not much left to do. Apart from looting, the game has no point that would keep you going after a while. whining page king LOL [editline]12th July 2012[/editline]
And a rape option in the context menu when looking at a female player
What do you think everyone has in mind when they see a female player lying prone at their feet. Even if it were necrophylia. That especially.
I think the idea is you'll die eventually, then you get to do it all again, but usually it'll be in a different way than you did before. Besides, playing with people is usually always fun regardless.
New patch any good?
It's worse than bad, it's fucked up.
I want better female skin. The current skin has no tits no ass. I also want her breathing and panting to be sexier. Would be so much more entertaining to listen to while running from Kamenka to the NW airfield.
I think you should check on your psyche more often.
And a rape option in the context menu when looking at a female player
Fuck it, just add a rape option in general, for both genders And a new status effect to represent the permanent mental trauma that gives you a chance to faint when you see another survivor of the gender that raped you Also this would be a terrible idea
I want better female skin. The current skin has no tits no ass. I also want her breathing and panting to be sexier. Would be so much more entertaining to listen to while running from Kamenka to the NW airfield.
And a nude mod
And a nude mod
for zombies

I were there with two other guys that I know IRL but don't play with. They happened to be in the area so we met up and headed into town together. When the guy I usually play with is back we'll search through the apartments again as well as those you mentioned.
I bloody hate how hard matches and toolboxes are to find
Spent half an hour dodging zombies in Cherno (spawned right near it).... Found every utility / ammo you under the sun but nothing that actually has a trigger.... hatchet'd like 6 zombies to death in a doorway :v

There often are assault rifles in those (almost every time, even), such as AKMs, AK-74s or M16A2s. And the church often has pistols or "basic" weapons. Then again, in a high population server, the town may have been looted before you got anything valuable... [editline]12th July 2012[/editline]
I bloody hate how hard matches and toolboxes are to find
I found four crowbars in the same damn building, three hatchets in a small barn, but always have a hard time finding a damn compass, even after scavenging through an entire town.
Me and my friends have been playing, just picking UK servers with low pings. Despite the low pings, we all get absolutely abysmal lag, with the yellow chain and often the red chain thing showing. We appear stationary to each other etc. Is this normal? Are the servers just crappy? What do?

Seems the latest patch also made zombie detection ranges completely massive too
I think the idea is you'll die eventually, then you get to do it all again, but usually it'll be in a different way than you did before. Besides, playing with people is usually always fun regardless.
In other words, it's repetitive. Agree about the fun of playing with people, though. Too bad I have a deep-rooted aversion to TS and the likes but that's my own problem. I'd gladly play a medic who does nothing else but help players in need but since there's no global chat anymore and fags would shoot me anyway it wouldn't make much sense.
Seems the latest patch also made zombie detection ranges completely massive too
Yeah, but there are far easier to lose, since walls or trees actually have an effect on them now. And you could have a few bodyguards.
I bloody hate how hard matches and toolboxes are to find
Best place to find matches seems to be supermarkets for me. But you're right about the tool boxes. ...also found like 4 watches in one supermarket :/
Eh, toolboxes seem quite common to me, usually always find one in low/medium value industrial spawns.
Whoever tried to ambush me in the Elektro apartments, I was friendly, and I didn't want to kill you, but I desperately need food because I've got like 2k health and no one I trust to bloodbag me is awake I would have asked you but your Enfield seemed to have other plans
When/if radios are introduced, this may become possible again. And you could have a few bodyguards.
It would still require shitloads of drinks and beans to sustain all the running from one casualty to another. Unless I'm ready to face the pain of restoring a vehicle. Would be nice to have a neutral skin for such a medic, like a white vest or something.
Found a gillie suit in Cherno near the church. [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10790421/fraps/ArmA2OA%202012-07-12%2009-51-00-89.png[/thumb] Saving this baby for the update/fix.
