Yeah, BIS's store directs you to a Czech payment website, which some (read: a lot of) credit cards won't charge to or will give issues when purchasing. These headaches are the sort of thing average everyday people looking to buy ArmA2 so that they can play DayZ with their mother's credit card won't normally jump through, and so instead they'll buy it from Steam where they know the transaction will always complete without frustration.
At least BIS makes money from the sale. Valve doesn't take a huge fraction of the profits, so BIS is still being benefited.

Join the mumble, maybe you can find a group to play with. In general, most people will shoot you on sight though.

Your best bet is joining the mumble and talk to people, maybe ask if someone wants to meet up. Usually people are friendly on there.
On the server itself you'll probably be shot on sight, so don't start any diplomatic conversations there - Nobody will listen.

What should I do when a zombie is chasing me and I have no weapon?
Up until now I've just treated it like game over, because it runs as fast as me and never seems to give up... Going in the water can help when you are on the coast, but what can I do inland?
Also, got an AKM from a deer stand in a military camp east of Balota earlier with 60 rounds. It was awesome to actually have a form of defence rather than having to crawl at snail pace everywhere, and run forever when I get chased.

Find a building and either run around it or through it. If it has multiple exits run through it, it forces zombies to walk. Once that happens just run out the other side and break line of sight.
Also, don't bother sneaking when you have no weapon. Just run everywhere, if somebody shoots you then you don't lose anything. You just get to loot spots faster, and any building with an interior can be used to get rid of the zombies.

Had a funny thing happend to me today.
I went in the factory building in Komarovo.
And this guy with an axe comes from a room.
So I am scared shitless and perform a salute and he replies with a salute and says that he's friendly.
Then he says that there's an axe in the upper floors.
And there is a corpse oozing with blood holding an axe in its hand.

I download the newest betapatch remove my old one, install it, put -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion infront of my -mod= and it stays at the old beta patch when I run my Arma.

You need to take the .exe out of the expansion\beta folder

I was just cruising my tractor through a forest WAY up North and I look away for a second, I look back and I'm bleeding, I'm like, fuck I must have hit a tree or something, I get out and bandage, THEN OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE, a guy rolls in on a fucking bicycle and starts spraying at me with an M249, I pop him about 4 times and he lies down, I thought he was unconsious, so I run over to put one in his head, then he fires about 100 rounds at me and puts me at -1000 blood instantly.
It was funny and annoying at the same time, I had a hatchet and m1911, and only a tractor, IMO a bike is funner and faster than a tractor, he had no reason to kill me, some people are just such dicks
