I'm not sure who the 3 people were that I was playing with, but damn that was fun. A whole load of looting around Cherno until we were fired upon by someone on a roof. The horde of zombies didn't help. Surprisingly I got out alive, found a magazine for both my Enfield and Glock 17 and now I'm just chilling around Cherno, waiting for a group to join. I do not regret buying OA at all.

Like I said above, today was the best round of DayZ I've had thus far. My friend purchased the game in lieu of me having so much fun with it, and so we met up in Cherno. My legs get magically broken, and so I crawl and he crouch-walks over to an industrial warehouse. He steps inside to see if he can find anything, while I sit and lollygag in the grass due to my legs being horribly deformed. As my friend begins to exit the building, I see a man crawling slowly up towards the landing immediately outside the building, obviously going after my friend. The man pulls his AK, kills my friend instantaneously, upon which I begin to open fire from the ground with my Makarov. A shit ton of zombies come running towards the noise, at which point the man obviously figures there's no way he's going to survive if he stays. He begins to run down the landing, at which point I say "No way, fucker." and shoot him in the head with my Makarov, much to my friend's joy. I am then mauled by zombies, but then I hear through the beatings this vagabond screaming bloody murder. It pleases me that he didn't die instantly: He was eaten alive, the little faggot. So then my friend and I casually respawn and meet up again, this time deciding to head north because fuck Cherno and its whole God damn nest of snipers. We head up to Solnichniy, at which point we realize we're both fucking starving and haven't even found anything but a hatchet and a Winchester with no ammunition between the two of us after running around in boony-towns in the wilderness. We reach the grain elevator, at which point my friend aggroes a shit ton of zombies and runs off to try to avoid them while I go and look for food. A random guy joins in behind me as I start to exit the last building, convinced there is no food. Rather than charging at him with my hatchet, I ask him if he has any food. He drops three cans and logs off. [i]Holy fuck.[/i] So my friend and I eat up after he manages to escape and we continue to head north. Moments later my legs are broken [i]yet again[/i] thanks to my bones being made of glass, and I resolve to go grab some food IRL while my friend goes ahead to see if he can find anything to the north. I return to find he has jack shit, so I respawn and find myself spawning nowhere else other than Solnichniy. At this point we meet back up, having insane luck by finding two hatchets (That's a big deal after such a fucking dry spell all day.) and make our way to Berezino. He gets fucked up pretty bad, with less than 3000 health, and I stealth my way into Berezino and find a shit ton of loot, including a Czech backpack, an ALICE Pack, seven blood bags, ten bandages, six painkillers, a Makarov and ammunition, watch, map, compass, etc. etc. I go back to the woods where I left my friend to wait while I scavenged and saved his ass with a transfusion, then we went back into the town to get the other backpack for him, stock up at the hospital again, get him a revolver at the grocery store, and find two matchboxes and some other sweet essential gear in the second story of a pub. We then run off into the woods merrily and conclude our day with some cheering, high fives, and a big fuck you to Death for being such a pussy bitch. Yeah that was a lot of words but oh well.

I do not regret buying OA at all.[/QUOTE] I was the guy with the crowbar :v: Me and one of the other guys went to the grocery store, we saw 3 bodies outside, we were getting chased by a horde of zombies so we decided to run into the church. Right outside the church was someone sitting there with a gun, I hoped he was friendly so I just ran off into the church, started bandaging myself, and then he came while I was bandaging myself and shot me. Was fine though.

Oh god, I was crawling through a field and I happened to look behind me. Suddenly I saw two axe wielding women 10 feet away, charging right at me to kill me. Scariest moment I've had in this game so far.

Fuck you Debug Plains. Fuck. You. Lost my Ghillie Suit, GPS, AKS-74u, shit tons of ammo.. and a toolbox. God dammit.

Anyone else think they should add alcoholic drinks to this game? It would be amazing for comedy's sake, just imagine having drinks around a campfire with your friends in the middle of a forest. They could make you more likely to fall over a la broken legs the more you have in the space of about ten minutes. If you had more than ten in five minutes-ish you could pass out and get the timer screen. Impractical, sure, but hilarious.

Riddle me this, friends: If I have a soldier profile named McSlaughter and then make another soldier profile named ILoveCock69, can I log into a server using the latter profile and effectively have a new character separate from my first? I was given the impression of this earlier today by a man I met who said he "logged into the wrong profile" before disconnecting (That was the man in my last post who gave me the three cans of food.), but I wanted to make sure before I went fucking around with my settings and possibly accidentally deleting my current character/profile/whatever the fuck. No features that detract from the lone wolf persona, but more things to maybe make the players more human to one another. I dunno, it sounds fun in my head, but so does everything the voices in there tell me to do.

i've only been playing this game for a day and i'm having so much fun with it. after going through 4 characters that couldn't shake zombies, i end up near some military base. i snuck in very deliberately past the front gate, there didn't seem to be much but dead bodies in it. go into some tower, find an AKM, a heat pack, bandages, and the like. i was literally oozing with euphoria and celebrating in this skype call i was in, until some zeds finally caught wind of me and chased me all the way out and up a tower. i thought i'd be able to just pop some of them in the head and make a getaway before more zeds showed up, but then i started cursing out loud when i realized i had no fucking ammo for the AKM. all i had left to do was let myself get raped by zombies in a last ditch effort to run off. fun for a first experience

i trust fucking no one except my friends now i was in cherno and we saw a guy running towards us with zombies we shot the zombies and then i got mauled and my m16 was left, the guy fucking took it then shot my friends

I spawn after my friend kills him and i book it to Elektro school house, while doing this the guy's friend decides to come along and reap the rewards which ended up to kill him and my friend due to them shooting at the same time So i learned not to trust a person just because he said friendly

Who led that shit show on top of the industrial roof in Cherno? You guys really that shitty that you need to swap servers to reposition behind us?

We where looting the airfield today. Met some dude on top of the ATC. Talked to him over Direct chat. Seemed cool and left. He started taking pot shots. Friend killed him, and then we killed his friend inside of the ATC. His friend disconnects, and then the dude respawns right on top of his body, with all his same gear. We kill him again, and as we're looting the body, he spawns in AGAIN, and kills one of us. We killed him a third time and had to run off before he respawned again. Before that, I met a guy laying down in one of the hangers, we gave him some blood and left. Then he turns around and shoots one of my friends as he leaves, and I gun him down. and way before that we where pinned down in the barracks by a guy with a AKM, and then my friend wounds him and he goes 'oh no, I'm friendly i thought you where bandit, i'm new to the game'. Since he had shit gear, we believed him and tried to patch him up. Soon as he gets back up, he tries to kill one of up, fails and we actually killed him. To many people have taken advantage of generosity, which has turned me into a merciless dick.

is it bad that hearing all the stories of people killing others on sight and bandits killing 'for the thrill' just makes me want to be a good samaritan and help unlucky survivors even though it'll get me killed? though i've a good feeling this i'll become a lot more jaded as i get better

A little advice to people starting new characters. It's way better to get a friend and join an unpopulated server, then there is no risk for other players to fuck up your day of collecting loot. I logged on a default profile by accident, on which I can't edit the name, so I went to change it to the one with the Facepunch tag. When I came to the server back you were long gone from the spot, though.
