US133) with a certain configuration that people with the latest beta patch can join. And a majority with a certain configuration that anyone with the latest beta patch gets stuck on wait for host, but anyone with the second-to-latest beta patch can join fine, but then they can't join servers in the minority group. Both groups of servers are claiming to have the latest beta patch, so I don't know what's going on. (to note, I haven't touched the RC at all, I've stuck purely to the beta patches (a post on their forums said you could do that)).
what's the max range for direct communication?
Adding to that.. what is the best way to play music through direct comms? I use Skype too when playing so I need ArmA2/DayZ to only pick up my iTunes feed.
Last night was a fun night. Me, electric eye and Jarretje hit up the airfield after stealing an ATV from a camp. We were being exceptionally careful, except it's very hard to take the ideal tactical approach while trying not to aggro zombies. We managed to reach the second hangar when we aggro'd a zombie and had to go loud, about 3 seconds after I got popped by a sniper. J ran for cover behind the hangar. Much to my delight, i respawned near Stary with the gear i had complained about losing to the server the other day, and started making my way back to the airfield. Meanwhile, Mr pro tier sniper was about to have a bad day, electric eye was on overwatch with a AS50 and was a much better sniper than him. Pro tier sniper got his face blown off, then slowly but surely Electric picked off all of his friends and another group of people who showed up later. I think all told it was something like 5 or 6 people dead. Electric ran back to the ATV, drove south and picked me up, then we screamed into the airfield like a pair of mad gays and picked up all my shit and scarpered out of there. This was all after we had spent the previous 3 hours finding chopper after chopper. It was a good day.

Playing DayZ for 3 days straight now, I'm still yet to find any vehicles, am I just extremely unlucky or am I at a server which has vehicles disabled, and, can someone perhaps give me a good servers with vehicles enabled? (1.7.2.3, 94945, or 94876) (Playing on NL 18)

How do I downgrade the beta patch from 94945 to 94876?
I'm getting the issue with the M1911 not doing as much damage as it used to. If it got nerfed, I'm going to be rather mad.

It'd actually be more realistic for a lot of the weapons to do less damage. Well, not less damage, but perhaps a better wounding system. It's really gamey that if you shoot someone once or twice they just fucking straight up die. The more I think about it, the more I feel dayz would benefit from a variety of features in ACE. The wounding system being the primary one. This way rather than getting shot and just fucking dieing, you might pass out/go into shock where you can't really fight, but if someone can help you in time you'll survive (and use up a lot of medical supplies in the process).
It'd be too much of a good feature for rocket to implement.
Neat, managed to bag a M4A1 CCO with 7 mags and enough food and drink to fill up my alice pack at the stary tents.

It should be just as easy to flaw someone, but harder to outright kill them.

Go shoot a moose with a .30-06 rifle. If you hit it in the heart/lung region with expanding ammunition it'll collapse and die within seconds due to the nerve shock. The exact same thing applies to a person.
wow rude i shot a guy with a dmr and he passed out, so i went up to him and bandaged his wounds and strolled off then he shot me in the leg whilst I was running away

Much more than you do obviously. Do you even actually know what shock is? There are hundreds of accounts of people being hit multiple times with intermediate calibers and even full power calibers like 7.62 and still fighting before passing out and then dying from blood loss. It might take 3 seconds for them to drop, it might take up to a minute, it depends on a huge variety of factors. People only instantly die in movies and video games.
