They should add features so that say you got shot in the arm you drop your primary weapon perhaps, like if you were sprinting as it happened (I think it was a feature in Red Orchestra? (The first one)
how do i start my own server?
DL speed - 25MBPS
Upload speed - 5MBPS
6 core comp running at 3.8 GHz
8gigs of ram.
I'm only looking to host a server for about 10-20 people.
How do i go about doing so?
I think you're going to need more bandwidth.
But you'll have to speak to someone who actually runs a server like profan.

I want it to be a server for just me and my friends. Instead of 10-15 people make that a 5-10 people server.
And okay i will. thanks. I hosted many gmod, css, tf2, and other servers all running with about 32 people in each no lag. before.

You can't host a DayZ server connected to the main Hive via a home connection, sorry.
I didn't because I thought my 100mb up and down wasn't going to cut it.

It depends weather or not you have a cap and what ISP you run off. But you would not be able to host official as they require the box to be in a DC.
is there a way to have voice detection or enable voice in arma 2 so i don't have to hold the caps lock key when i'm trying to scare people

Hit Caps Lock twice, it'll keep the voice chat going until you hit it twice again.
My friend and I just found two bear traps. Apparently, if you pick it up after deploying, it will still break your legs if you walk over where you placed it.

My friend placed it in front of a military tent while inside, picked it back up and presto.
i joined the facepunch server for the first time through six launcher and ended up in the debug land with no gear.
i believe i updated and installed everything correctly

Finally managed to get the game to work, or at least on the FP server anyway. I got chased around by a zombie for a while, then took refuge in some building. As soon as I got in, someone started shooting outside and I nope'd out :v:

This right here, I can join a server to its lobby, click okay, and then i load maybe past the tanks and such, and then crash right to desktop, i haven't been able to find a fix for it either.
now with these new audio tools i can finally fulfill my wish to become the dayz grigori
i set it up so i can cycle between pretty much every type of voiceclip of his on demand through hotkeys, which i'll be able to stream into my mic just fine

If you are getting issues like this, you probably installed it wrong.
Just drove passed some guy with a gun in Cherno in a vehicle.. either they couldent aim at my vehicle or they were nice enough not to shoot at it.
I need to not crouch at windows, got shot by what sounded like an as50 at the Stary Military tents.
Haha why were you driving in Cherno? I would be long gone from the coast if I had one myself...
(but I did manage to find a bicycle before but hit a rock and then got shot after a few minutes of being chased by zombies haha)
