Yeah I did this. I got all of the morphine, bloodpacks, bandages and epipens I could carry plus some food.
Fortunately I have the alice pack so I was able to carry quite a lot so it will last me. With the medical supplies, food, drink and weapons I now have, the only big threat remaining is other players, but really if they catch you by surprise there is no good preparation for that.

Unfortunately I was unable to find a box of matches in the surrounding apparentment blocks, but as I now have a hatchet, it is the only item I need to be self sustainable.

Holy rice crackers, the story behind this is; We planted one tent, and we weren't satisfied with the location, we moved it about 20 times before we got satisfied with it, then the server crashed, we came back to the tent site and tents had spawned where we had put down the original tent (all 20 positions we tried). Now we have around 25 tents (including ones we've just found on loot runs).

Also, tents are demons, one of my group was walking around our encampment, suddenly a tent comes out of the ground, breaks his legs and kills him.

As long as there is a player within the vicinity (don't know the exact distance) of the body, it should remain there for quite a long time, hell, mine stayed overnight on a server that never restarts.

Servers updated to 94997, if you use RC1 you can use it with the latest beta patch.
If you're lazy and don't care for downgrading beta's you can simply copy paste the shit from /expansions/beta into your root folder. Make sure you have a backup though.

Thats a DayZ bug, occurs when you join while map is initializing. Just ALT+F4 and rejoin.

I just installed DayZ.
And when I join a server, it keeps getting stuck on the loading screen. The one with the black background, with tan letters. The loading bar get's all the way, but it just stays there, nothing happens.

I'm pretty happy with DayZ at the moment, I suffered from the alter ego problem where servers that hadn't updated to the latest hive version screwed up some peoples characters resulting in 2 different characters, apparently rocket fixed it, at the moment i've got a coyote, m1911, a decent assault rifle and an FNFAL in my backpack, pretty damn happy.

Once I die it apparently should revert to my other character which has a DMR and some cool crap.

My game started to crash and shit all the time so I reinstalled it. I then installed build 94876 so I could play with some friends. Now the game crash every time I try to join a server with that verison. Wat do?
