You rated me dumb Chernarus, obviously you know how to update BatEye then... do share.
How would I go about doing so?
Goes in expansions/BattlEye, overwrite the existing one.
(seriously can we get this added to the OP of this or the next thread?)
Those are some hacked weapons. L85A2 Holo doesn't spawn, neither do G36 mags.
What's the point of adding even more of them weak 5.56x45mm rifles to the game anyway.

Realism, and some people prefer the Holo/CCO/ACOG (or whatever it is in ARMA) to the NV.

I think the game is already overloaded with high grade military tech.
-snip-
Died after 13 hours, from being teleported into a stack of something in stary sober.
I was standing still, waiting for my friends to pick up stuff from the military base in stary, suddenly im in the middle of this stack of stuff, all bones break and i die
I lost a silenced M4A1 with 6 MAGS, binoculars, a PDW with about 4 mags, all the medical supplies, food and more...
If you don't act fast, the loot will attack and kill you.

NVGs? What have the weapon sights to do with NV? IIRC it's the big sniper scopes that can't be used while wearing NVGs. Assault rifle scopes can be used with the NVGs on.
The M16A2 ACOG is the only US rifle I yet have to find and I really really want to.
Okay, sorry to ask again, but is Opp Arrowhead supposed to have a BattleEye folder too?
My computer had a fatal crash the other week while playing DayZ and this is the first time I have gotten my computer to run again so I need some help.
I'm still getting the "BattleEye initialisation error"

The only L85 you can get is the NVG one.
Come on.. this is the easiest thing ever why is it so complicated.
Beta installation guide for Combined Operations users 1.61 or 1.60
Make sure your game is updated to BIS patch 1.60 or later(If you use Steam, you have it.)
Use the new battleye installer http://www.gamefront.com/files/21983321/Setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA.exe ( You won't see anything when you double click it, just run it as admin and it should be fine. )
100% Steam users:
Make sure you updated to 1.60 or higher patch.
Download the latest beta from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/
Retail users
Make sure you're updated to 1.60 or later.
Install the latest beta from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/.
Make a new shortcut on your desktop, browse to your \Arrowhead\Expansions\beta directory, then choose the ArmA2OA.exe file in your root arrowhead folder then finish that, go to your desktop and find the shortcut then go into its properties and then add this to the end of Target line(keep the quotation marks and leave a space between this and the stuff already in the Target line.):
"-mod=C:\YOUR_ARMA2_PATH_HERE\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@DayZ;" -nosplash -MaxMem=2047 -World=Chernarus
Replace PATH_TO_ARMA2 with wherever your ArmA2 is installed(Not arrowhead).
Change the start in directory to this, replace my path with your paths while keep the quotations.
"C:\YOUR_ARROWHEAD_PATH HERE\arma 2 operation arrowhead\
Launch.
Non-steam shortcut
Make sure you are updated to 1.60 or later.
Download the beta patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ and install it.
Make a non-steam shortcut to anything, just click one of the things.
Change the target line of the shortcut to this, replacing my paths with your paths while keeping the quotations.
"C:\YOUR_ARROWHEAD_PATH_HERE\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=C:\YOUR__ARMA2_PATH_HERE\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@DayZ;" -nosplash -MaxMem=2047 -World=Chernarus
Now rename the shortcut to something like "ArmA2 CO" and you're set.
Change the start in directory to this, replace my path with your paths while keep the quotations.
"C:\YOUR_ARROWHEAD_PATH HERE\arma 2 operation arrowhead\
You should only have to do it in the operation arrowhead folder
Steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead/Expansions/BattlEye
If it doesn't have one, just make a folder called BattlEye and put the .dll in there, that should work I think.

Okay, I did that and I still get the error.
They need to add more old, low tech weapons to the game. If it is a Post-Soviet state, I would expect to find some Soviet era weaponry, perhaps some WW2 Russian weapons like the Mosin Nagant, the SVT-40 or the PPSH? There needs to be a decrease in the Modern weapons, because whilst the dead military guys and military areas would have them, they wouldn't have nearly as much in the area as the old weapons. Personally I would love to run round with some old guns instead of everybody having Thermal Scopes etc.
I tried to hunt down a sniper in elektro, then a bitch gets shot by the sniper, sees me, and kills me. fuuuuck.
I'm thinking they or almost anyone else would have shot you anyways, sniper or not.
Playing for the first time for a week, holy hell the zombies spot you even faster :(
So I was in Elektro, running around in the super market when I heard AK shots, I decided to help the person shooting out, killed some zombies outside of the house they were in and tried to talk in direct. Then one of the guys shoots at me and I quickly start shooting at his head, I think "Well fuck you then", take out my satchel, put it on the ground, run the fuck away and detonate it. I'm pretty sure they're dead now. :v:

Well, the plot of Arma has large nations like the US invading the area, so it would make a lot of sense to have an equal mix of both modern and old.
Besides, the only gun with a thermal scope is the rarest in the game.
Also, Lee guy in Elektro, make good use of the satchel you killed me and stole!

The arma plot has nothing to do with dayz.
The arma plot has nothing to do with dayz.
Yes it does, why would there be zombies and dead soldiers wearing CDF uniforms if it wasant?
The arma plot has nothing to do with dayz.
The game is set in the same exact place.
And, why the fuck would there be US equipment in game then?
PLOT TWIST! Rocket thought military equipment & zombies would be cool so he added it
I'm pretty sure the US would want to get militarily involved in the biological outbreak if it got to a large size - if Chernaurus is "where it began" it would also explain the huge amount of weaponry present.

Placeholders you dolts. Have you watched any of his interviews?
He doesn't have time, resources or need to use anything else in alpha.

Where does he say ArmAverse isn't related to DayZ?
Where does he say ArmAverse isn't related to DayZ?
Because this is where the storyline ends:
A 225 km2 open world post-soviet state and one of the areas hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. You are one of the few who have survived and now you must search this new wasteland in order to fight for your life against what is left of the indigenous population, now infected with the disease.
It's not:
In preparation for Operation Harvest Red, elements of the U.S. Marine Corps' Force Recon are deployed behind enemy lines into Chernarus, to weaken ChDKZ coastal defenses for the invading Marine Expeditionary Unit. Among the Force Reconnaissance Marines is Razor Team, a five-man special operations team, consisting of the main character, Master Sergeant Matthew "Coops" Cooper, Razor Team's second-in-command, and the team leader, First Sergeant Patrick "Eighball" Miles.
Razor Team's mission is to conduct a raid on the small Chernarussian town of Pusta, to disrupt ChDKZ communications in preparation for the invading Marine Expeditionary Unit.[11] During Razor Team's raid on Pusta, the team rescues a couple of torture victims, and subsequently uncovers a mass grave, revealing that the ChDKZ have been conducting acts of genocide and war crimes in South Zagoria.
After the raid on Pusta, Razor Team is tasked with helping to unite the Chernarussian military (CDF) with National Party (NAPA) guerillas, who are led by a man named Prizrak. Originally hostile to each other at the beginning, their subsequent cooperation will help to restore peace to Chernarus.
As the civil war in Chernarus rages on, a terrorist bombing occurs in the middle of Red Square, in Moscow, Russia, killing dozens and wounding hundreds more. The ChDKZ blames this attack on the National Party, which causes the Russian Federation, already weary of the presence of U.S. forces operating near its border, to demand the unconditional withdrawl of U.S. forces from Chernarus. The Russian Federation proposes to the United Nations Security Council that the United States withdraw its forces from Chernarus, whom the Russians see as escalating the conflict. The United States' mandate in Chernarus expires, and U.S. forces are quickly withdrawn from the country. Shortly after the U.S. withdrawl, the Russian Federation sends a United Nations-backed peacekeeping contingent into South Zagoria, to replace the U.S. forces. However, in the confusion, Razor Team is left behind as the rest of the U.S. forces withdraw from the country, leaving them all alone in Chernarus. Later, it is revealed that the terrorist bombing of Red Square was in fact a false flag attack committed by the ChDKZ as a red herring, to paint the National Party as terrorists. Razor Team is now tasked with finding evidence which will prove the ChDKZ' involvement in the bombing of Red Square, and prove the National Party's innocence.
ARMA 2's campaign has five different endings, which are dependent upon a number of different factors; whether or not Razor Team eliminates Prizrak, who is opposing the alliance between the Chernarussian government and the National Party, and the arrest of Gregori "Akula" Lopotev. The campaign's five different endings range from victory for the player, or to defeat, with the elimination of Razor Team by the victorious ChDKZ. Then SUDDENLY ZOMBIES.
I want to get rated dumb too!
