Used to be EU1, EU2 & EU3 but I remember someone saying they were taken down, haven't checked the status of them since the US133 server gives me more than excellent ping, so no need to check on servers that are closer, besides I found that going onto servers that are closer to me have a much longer response time on both Waiting for Host and all that joining jazz as well as actually in-game.
Wasn't worth keeping them up anymore. :v:
Quick rating poll:
When some player approaches you and goes "friendly" and all that and wants to group up with you like a normal guy would do but you suddenly hear as he approaches you the "low humanity heartbeat" pumpin, would you shoot the guy?
Rate agree for yes and disagree for no (no in means of simply playing with him like any other guy)

I can't even hear anything.

In the end it's way more better to have "one" facepunch server so you wouldnt have to manage so much and still have all the FP guys on one like the Chernarus US133 server. But still I enjoyed your servers, they gave me personally the best performance of them all.

Pretty good, if you ask me. Subtle, not too unrealistic, and adds a nice touch of atmosphere to survivor encounters. :v:

It's pretty much a buttfuck for guys like me that played since the start of the mod and gained a really low humanity by doing things like banditry. Now I play friendly and already the first guy I met up with (beeing friendly and all that) shot me without saying anything after he came close to me and started to look at me standing there, he obviously heard the heartbeat and instantly stamped me as an backstabber :(
Someone at the DayZ forums suggested defibrillators to revive dead players.
I know, Rocket won't add any of those suggestions into the game, but still, they make me mad.
To the guy I was crawling through Elektro with: Sorry for bringing you into my mess, not sure if you survived.

Oh so that's how people view me in game, jesus just because my name is The Western Bandit and I have extremely low humanity doesn't mean I would shoot you on site :v: [sp]ok maybe it means I will but man that's discrimination[/sp]
Found an ATV with some guns in it. Dammit I keep stealing people's cars.
Right now staying at Berezino. Any ideas where I coul head with that ATV?

My ingame name is Thief and whenever I die, I get some shitty comment about how "I WOULDN'T TRUST A GUY CALLED THIEF EITHER..."
So judging by 300 new posts I'm guessing an update is out?
Just got the game so was planning on installing it. Been tracking progress of the mod though for a while now.
Also, this mod reminds me... whatever happened to project zomboid? That's of similar flavor to DayZ except it's much more in depth, isometric, and doesn't really involve multiplayer.
Far away from everything.
The worst thing of going far away from any populated areas - massive boredom

At the moment, I wouldn't mind having something sort of like that, but not quite.
If a player hasn't suffered a headshot, then I'd say give around 30 - 60 seconds in which time a friend can administer an epi-pen to stabilize the downed player, then a bandage to stop bleeding, then a transfusion that brings the downed player up to, like, 1000 or 2000 blood.
Then administer morphine, and have the player remain unconscious and in shock for a few minutes.
Basically something so that a quick acting, well equipped medic could help get a friend on their feet, if the situation allows it.
So why doesn't humanity reset after you die? What is the point if you start from the beginning again and still have that mark of banditness?
No update
Whats this heartbeat thing then?

Because it shows what kind of player you are. If your humanity reset at death then bandits would exploit this by dieing in a "safe" location, respawning, getting their stuff, then being a bandit in disguise again.
or just simply always respawn/die a lot and trick players just to fuck em over.

I like this a lot, actually. Especially because you couldn't just revive the person all willy-nilly: It would require that you have the equipment, the space, and the safety to do so.
Also it would make epi-pens actually practical.
some guy was running around elektro with no ammo getting chased by zombies so I started following him and bothering and taunting him on the mic :v: , shame he disconnected, I thought rocket put in the 5 second wait because it's still instant.

I don't think any double 0 bandit would put all this effort just to make one guy think that he is not a bandit and then kill him anyway.

Yeah I agree, I think if someone is bleeding they should be able to go to like -2000 blood (Or increase blood to 14,000 and make 'death' at 2000), in which time you can give them an epipen and bandages/blood transfusion.
I dont see why it wouldnt be realistic, I mean right now its kind of weird that you can be shot and bleeding, and still concious/moving, then just instantly die when you hit 0 blood.
Getting started in this game is a real task. I died 3-4 times last night before I gave up for the time being. My last death I ran into a shit ton of Zombies and booked it out of there. I kept running till I was sure they weren't following me. Used the forests to help with that. Turns out Zombies can't quite climb hills so well.
After about 10-15 minutes I came across a building, looked like an empty warehouse. I found some items in there, which was good because my guy was thirsty and almost starving. Found a dead body which finally had a weapon on it and some food. And left the place. A zombie came out of no where and tried to get me. My new pistol showed him what happens when you get close and personal. I then left to find more stuff. Was still thirsty. Found a group of buildings, oddly enough the same buildings that TotalBiscuit was at when he did that video the other day. Found a shotgun there and went to go downstairs. Misclicked or something and broke my legs. Found a well to drink from. And said fuck it. I was dead, so I shot every mother fucking zombie in the area till they killed me.
And that's the story of my first night in DayZ.
So yesterday, my friend and I were in Cherno and he got shot by some ass hole who ran in the house behind us with a Winchester (Funny enough, this guy got trapped in barbed wire and got eaten alive by zombies). Well afterwards, I was communicating with my friend and guarding his stuff because he was on his way back to me, and this guy runs up. At first he tried hiding behind the door, and I saw him and called out to him that I could see him. Asked if he was friendly and declared that I was. Over direct communication I hear the guy say friendly and so I told him kindly leave our general area. I see him go for my friends backpack and I told him over the mic, "Hey that is my friends stuff you can't have it, I'm sorry." but he grabbed it anyways, so I put two Makarov shots in his head. My friend's gear disappeared afterwards. God dammit.

Group infiltration. Would you let a confirmed bandit into your little group of survivors?
I quite enjoy the lack of side chat. Adds to the immersion, really. After playing for about an hour, you begin to feel completely alone, and then once you see a survivor you panic even more. Played for two hours straight last night and I kept thinking someone was watching me, eventually I called it a night a disconnected.
So what's this heartbeat thing, is that not in the game yet if theres no patches?
Thanks to Rolfeh for donating his monies, helps alot.
