Can anyone help me out a bit? I'm on the correct version (1.7.1.5) and I have the latest beta but whenever I try to join the FP server and a few others, I always get "bad version, server rejected connection" What step have I missed?

Server went down, fun shit happened. We got the vehicles back and raided the town and freaked out at a sniper. Also, [h2]grouping up is hell without fucking nametags why can't we have those[/h2]

Found a dead body of someone near Stary Sobor. Got a Silenced M4 outta it. Did someone die there from FP?

Story time! So after the whole hacker debacle I got some gear and headed north. I landed myself in Stary and looted the military tents, easy peezy, no trouble at all. Just as I'm exiting the grocery store and about to shoot a zombie in my way *ZIIIIIIIIIING* a shot lands next to me. HOLY SHIT!! I run inside the grocery store, shots landing inside there, the shooter is making himself clear where he can shoot and where he can't. Pretty dumb of him. I then hear another gun, I believe one to be a .50 sniper and the other to be a DMR or M14. The stand off lasted about 5 minutes, with zombies all on top of me. I decided enough was enough and I flanked from the north, running through the trees I see the Ghillie guy crawling, I come up behind him and pop him with my m4a1, hearing his bones break and eventually he dies. I saw that he had a Coyote pack but I had more zombies on me, I quickly shot them and thought before I claim my prize, I will toss a grenade where I think his friend is... Bad decision, boom, the grenades blows up infront of my face cause it was literally invisible when i threw it. Awesome

After having been fucked up by that tree getting out of my pickup, I logged in and of course died. Respawned, ran to my truck, body was gone unfortunately. I ended up driving the truck around through both Sobors beeping loudly. Some guy decided to run in front of the car and shoot with a pistol, so I ran him over. I ended up driving by a crashed heli on my way to Cherno. First time I've ever actually found loot there, and I finally have a rare weapon: FN_FAL_ANPVS4 Whatever the fuck the second acronym stands for.

do you guys know how characters are saved or whatever? a friend of mine that i've started playing the mod with is migrating to another computer soon and both of us are worried if his character will stay with a fresh install of arma

I don't understand the appeal of the big hotspots like Cherno, Elektro, Stary or NW Airfield. What's the point of getting shot over some powerful equipment if the only use for powerful equipment is in those hotspots? I mean, I've played this game for a few weeks now and haven't gotten around to killing anyone with my only deaths really being from respawning after breaking bones.

Is there a map showing all of the crashed Heli?

You guys got 3 warnings for the last restart, right?

So yesterday a small group of us decided to abandon our vast fortune of farmed gear and decided to go on an axe mudering spree. 11 of us ran through Cherno on a high pop server during the middle of daytime and killed 4 people. Granted all of us died at least twice, but it was definitely worth it. We even killed a teleporting hacker after he appeared in front of 3 of us. I just got the game and played it for the first time. I'm the noobiest of noobs. I had to look up the controls just to be able to do basic shit. First game, I connected to a server in the middle of the night. Got killed. Second game, spawned on a beach, ran towards a house, got killed. Third game, sneaked into a construction site, stole a hatchet and then made it into a town, which is where interesting things happened. I ran into another guy who begged me for a blood transfusion. He walked me through the procedure step by step, and I basically saved his life. Then he wanted to give me a gun, but I refused and told him it was a waste. Told him I'd die anyway. I barely finished speaking when I got shot and killed by a sniper. He must think I'm a psychic or something.

Do tents have a custom model when on the ground as loot, or do they show up as the generic green pouch? Want to spend as little time looting as possible, since I font think I would need any of the other loot.

Managed to kill a guy with an L85A2, found an atv with about 75% fuel left, drove to NW airfield and found a crashed helicopter with a Bison (+ ammo), then just as the fuel was about to run out on the atv I found a tractor which I accidentally drove into a fence. The tractor exploded and I somehow managed to survive with ~400 blood. This has been one hell of a crazy day
