Time for exciting tales of valor in Chernogorsk! As I mentioned earlier, I had to skeedaddle my way around Chernogorsk, dodging bullets at every turn. I managed to raid the hospital without being hit, and so, with a dance in my step and a backpack full of drugs, I ran through the industrial quarters of the busy city. As I heard gunfire almost all the time, I got to thinking - Someone should set these bandits straight, you know? Sit those no-good bandits down for a little heart-to-heart. Well just my luck, I found a trusty ol' hatchet in a workshop not far from the tall silos, where I had spotted a sneaky little survivor campin' it out with what I assumed was a DMR, or some such. I snuck up the ladder, taking only tiny steps at a time, until I was at the top of the silo, and there he was - sitting on the corner of the roof, with his rifle at his hip. I ran fearlessly towards him, exclaiming my nordic battlecry, and swung my axe of righteousness right in his surprised face! Alas, he landed a single bullet, right in my gonads, I fainted, and waited for death, savouring the thought of my noble action. Oh my god. What have I done.
FUCKING LOL OMG
I've decided that testing of my DayZ SVN update method can now begin. Simply follow the instructions on this page. If you've used SVN to update Garry's Mod addons like wiremod before, you already know everything you need to know. The website itself is the SVN url.
now some poor fucker is going to walk across the map to find that spawn of weapons, only to be sorely dissapointed.
can someone link to where it was announced there was a hive wipe?
you bastard what have you done
Cherno is next.
can someone link to where it was announced there was a hive wipe?
It wasn't.
Okay, so i just bought the Arma 2 bundle with OA and installed "Six", what should i expect from this insanely popular mod?
Okay, so i just bought the Arma 2 bundle with OA and installed "Six", what should i expect from this insanely popular mod?
Never-ending rape. Accept death.
Never-ending rape. Accept death.
Okay, so how do i meet up with facepunchers? Anyone wanna help me get started?
I still can't join 133. :C
Okay, so how do i meet up with facepunchers? Anyone wanna help me get started?
Go to the Mumble server to get in touch with people who may be able to help you out. If you're in any sort of crunch (i.e. legs are broken, need someone to give you a blood transfusion, etc.) then post here or ask around in the Mumble to see if someone is available to help you. Play the Arma2 tutorials to get an idea for the controls if you haven't already, and the rest you'll pick up easily. I've only been playing a little less than a week now and I've got a pretty expansive knowledge on a lot of the game. Good luck!

Now, what is the IP and port to the FP mumble server? The search function is unavailible for me..
I just ran through the entirety of Cherno while humming tunes through my mic, didn't get shot once and I never saw another soul. I eventually climbed to the top of the grain silos and launched myself off.
Mah gud, theres so many peeps in there, i dont even wanna join, so embarrassing..
I was really worried my first time joining, but everyone there is pretty cool and you make some great friends if you just chill with them when possible. Sometimes I duck out of the Mumble when I'm on my own though, because when there are fifteen or more people in a single channel it gets to be a bit overwhelming.
We don't bite.
Im in, but i refuse to speak.... :c
can we get a "read the op or get banned" on the op so we can report everyone who asks for install info, mumble IPs or server info
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think Rocket could just ungroup the survivor upon spawning and radios could be a "group" system. This is obviously a really lazy way of doing it, but it would work and it could be done fast. Then once you tune into a channel, you can then talk over group chat, aka "over the radio", and see if other people respond who would technically be in the same squad as you. To elaborate, since the text and "AI" voice commands are disabled there'd be no indication for as to when you join a channel with another player. Also nice that the maximum number of groups = as many groups as you have players with radios. Even lower the more players that are tuned into the same channel. Again, if Rocket opted to add radios like this it'd be really simple and I would assume relatively quick, beta-patch-less re-addition of a half global chat, which might be what DayZ needs with the removal of Global chat. Of course I'd rather he get the beta patch to produce a way to create new text/VOIP channels, for instance a "Radio" channel when cycling through them with "," and ".", in addition to cool features like VOIP detereoration of quality over range (and terrain like ACRE?) and the random breakup of words in text.
I'd be cool if you could actually join "parties" in the game. Have their name floating above their heads so you can actually recognize friend from foe.
This just in: Artillery got screwed over
Yeah I get stuck on wait for host trying to join US133.
Two guys gunned me down near the big tank statue. I just wanted friends :smith:
dayz should just have ACRE added that's all
I mean generally it goes: Start Arma 2, connect to server, connect to TS3, bam But if you take out that first step you can hear everything that's going on in the server. Also ACRE has miraculous (and solvable, but hard) problems with individuals' computers. Sometimes it just won't work because of some petty windows 7 thing that decided to not load the DLL. Stuff like that. While I installed it twice from files and then from SIX and it worked both times, about 1/3 the people I help install it have it end up not working at all. Or at least without heavy troubleshooting, since I haven't quite nailed down exactly what causes each problem, and I'm only able to actually fix about 1/2 the problems that occur.
Just got this game, controls are a pain in the ass, so is the motion blur. Any blur fixes or nice key layouts?
Im in, but i refuse to speak.... :c
you're like a little fucking girl oh my god just speak
