The ONLY thing we need more out of Chernarus is 95% enterable buildings, literally nothing else needs to change. And from the sounds of it, either with this new Czech DLC or ARMA 3 itself we are getting an improved version of Chernarus, iirc from one interview.
The Arma 2 OA maps have a lot of enterable buildings, but those would probably be boring in DayZ
Does anyone have any idea why my game keep randomly freezing? It works fine at 30 - 45 fps, then just at random intervals it'll freeze, then it'll either come back after another freeze or it'll keep freezing and then I get kicked by BattleEye for my client not responding. Actually it's probably something to do with the fact my CPU fan is spinning at like 500 mph.
Specs and what settings do you play on? Because arma 2 uses CPU on low settings en GPU on high.
Just kill it or what?
i don't have any weapons
The Arma 2 OA maps have a lot of enterable buildings, but those would probably be boring in DayZ
Yeah Takistan wouldn't be very interesting for a zombie game. Hell, I believe most people play Takistan for the LACK of scary things like grass and trees. However let's hope their willingness to create almost entirely enterable buildings for OA and ARMA 3 carries over to this improved Chernarus.
i don't have any weapons
If you disconnected from the game, it probably despawned. Try logging in, it won't be there anymore.
If you disconnected from the game, it probably despawned. Try logging in, it won't be there anymore.
i've never had any weapons i just started playing yesterday and i haven't survived for more than 20 minutes
Well no shit, buildings from the middle east in central Europe would make about 0 sense. However let's hope their willingness to create almost entirely enterable buildings for OA and ARMA 3 carries over to this improved Chernarus.
Well I meant actually playing in the desert maps :v: Mosques all over Chenarus would be pretty funny though, but most likely yeah, would make no sense that they wouldn't. When does the community alpha start for ARMA 3? I want to try the shit out
why would there need to be more than one map when it's already 225 square km
Because one local (Russia or some shit) will get boring eventually.
Well I meant actually playing in the desert maps :v: Mosques all over Chenarus would be pretty funny though, but most likely yeah, would make no sense that they wouldn't.
Specs and what settings do you play on? Got a dilemma here. I chose female skin to hear female panting in my ears all the time. Problem is, I hate seeing polished fingernails on my AKM and the voice ain't even remotely sexy. Besides females can't wear ghillie suits. So - if I drop all my stuff at a safe place, and re-spawn as a male on the same server, I should find my gear back where I left it? Dumb me if I'm dumb.

I told someone Cherno was next. [img_thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/957262583115728152/12CA8FB0D230E656848C2EEA50F5689833162BE3/[/img_thumb]
i've never had any weapons i just started playing yesterday and i haven't survived for more than 20 minutes
Try going to Balota airfield (check the control tower, hangar corners and the other two small huts near the hangar/control tower for loot) or one of the big cities on the coast (head for the fire station/supermarket/restaurant buildings for best results), you will probably find some weapons with ammo there, along with other useful survival gear. If you are afraid of getting killed while looting in those hot zones, try going from village to village and loot them. Always have a map open in browser, at least until you find a map in-game (this one is very useful, since it's clear and also indicates the buildings that spawn loot: http://dayzdb.com/map). Never run near zombies. Use crouch walk instead, and when the zombies are too close to you, just go prone and stay out of their line of sight. If possible, try to walk on grass/dirt instead of road, it makes less noise. Also, be in Mumble if you play on the FP server (US133). If you don't, it's still a good place to find advice while playing. Try finding yourself a group of people to play the game with, it's much more enjoyable, especially for a new player.
Yep that's it
Yeah, knew it was, just wasn't 100% sure on that. How does a Quad-Core Intel i7 @ 3.4/3.5 GHz sound? That's what i'm planning to get.
Guh, just had the most annoying battle in Berezino. It was me and two friends, armed with L85s and an M4A1 CCO SD. We raided the hospital and supermarket, both me and the M4 SD dude looking for ALICE packs to replace our coyotes. No luck in the top section, so we started heading down towards the eastern supermarket. Strangely enough, I spot a player on top of one of the apartments, the taller one. I wonder what he's up to, and wait for my buddies to head in closer in case of a bandit. A few minutes later, another player pops up on the apartment roof next to the other guy's. They have a brief shootout, then the Bandit disconnects almost immediately, bleeding badly. We can tell it was just this one guy, because the zombies despawned instantly, and the guy on the taller roof was dead. Cautiously we move in, and both me and my friend get ALICE packs. Happy happy joy! Just as we're exiting the taller apartment, we hear zombies and M4 SD sees someone crouch running past the entrance. He fires off a burst of full auto, wings him, and the Bandit in black clothing runs off. We see no more zed aggro, so we think he's disconnected. Again. We head over to the supermarket to grab anything useful, but just as I poke my head in the back room I get hit by a blast of full auto fire, and manage to see the very same guy (black clothing) before keeling over dead. My character got stuck on the door before I could walk back, sadly. So, my friends circle around and manage to unload a few rounds into the camping Bandit in Black. He disconnects after running out of the store. God dammit Rocket, when will you make people in combat be unable to get out of dodge with Alt+F4?

They spawn useful loot bro... Instead, just give the truck to Camp Autism, it will be put to good use there. :v:
Thanks!
You should join the mumble, we've got guys who are at the coast who can most likely help you on your journey, and bring you to our camp / near our camp to help with supplies and maybe if you don't want to group, going solo and surviving that way.

How do you perform a blood transfusion? We have some blood bags, we just need to know how to do it.
Thanks!
Barns are a gold mine if you want to avoid the Cherno/Electro rat race. They often spawn a Winchester or M1911/revolver. Unless you want to snipe other players, a Winnie/pistol combo is the first and last thing you need against zombies. Castles are also good for basic loot. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline]
How do you perform a blood transfusion?
How do you perform a blood transfusion? We have some blood bags, we just need to know how to do it.
Have the blood bag in your main inventory, get near the player who you wish to give a blood transfusion to and scroll to the option 'Give blood transfusion'. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] Shit, ninja'd.
My dad wants to play Dayz.
How do you perform a blood transfusion? Look at them and use the scroll wheel and click "give blood transfusion". They'll need painkillers first if their screen is shaky. Not sure why though.
