ITC Kwal is butthurt http://ioj.com/v/0bkb7
Kwal is like a 12 year old or something, ignore him.
I don't get why people bitch about tilesets. Do people bitch if you use clientside custom models in games? Do they bitch at you for reskinning your game? No, yet when someone uses a tileset that they feel helps them play better, you get some sort of fucking elitists bawwing "OMG HOW CAN YOU USE THAT LOOKS LIKE SHIT" [editline]05:02PM[/editline] In other news, my miner lost his lower body in a cave-in :saddowns:
I like to think of it like this. Do the people with tilesets bitch when they see people without them? No.
My miner/metalsmith is lying in bed with his lower body red (missing). Will I ever get him back to work?
My miner/metalsmith is lying in bed with his lower body red (missing). Will I ever get him back to work?
Actually, red means it's mangled. Dark grey means it's missing, in which case he'd die instantly. It'll take a few years to heal.
fuck.
fuck.
Exactly.
Wow. I just got a tame hedgehog with some immigrants. ...cool?
A handy dandy comparison. :v:
A handy dandy comparison. :v: *picture*
Oh lol. :v:
Now I must kill all the elves.
I like to think of it like this. Do the people with tilesets bitch when they see people without them? No.
Yes, they do, too, actually.
Point it out. And if you manage to find one, find how many of your posts have been devoted to nothing more than being an annoying pest.
http://ioj.com/v/362nb Does it also take ages for you guys to smooth stone?
Use Dwarf Manager and set all the kids to stone detailing. Child labour is great.
Point it out. And if you manage to find one, find how many of your posts have been devoted to nothing more than being an annoying pest.
Well, I just counted all of my posts in this thread where I was 'pestering' someone for using a tileset. The total came to two. Two posts.

http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=16313026&postcount=650 And you're forgetting to find the so called default-haters.
Finally, i cracked the learning curve behind this game, now, i can actually play! Too bad i got bored after an hour.

It was Warman. So it's three instead of two. I'm so sorry that I miscounted.
The first one is pestering, he asked how to make it look nice like "that tileset" and you said it's not nice. The chatlog is an example of you being an immature brat. When people ask you a question, you disregard it and turn to the fact that they are using a tileset.
When people ask you a question, you disregard it and turn to the fact that they are using a tileset.
Except for the fact that I am generally helpful and do answer most questions people have.
I just pointed out two examples where you didn't. By the way this entire argument started by you declaring that people with tilesets mock people without them, so until you actually give me that you're pretty much just thread shitting.
Note 1: So I lost my internet today, and I decided to play dwarf fortress and finally make a succesful diary about it. I'll use my old fortress as a base, the workshop area is being under construction it seems. Also, the hallway is supposed to be a range for a ballista when the goblins start pouring in (if they will), and the large room next to it is my current food storage, soon-to-be flooding chamber when (if) the goblins come. There's nothing on the surface. Only a bridge that leads to the fortress. The bridge goes over my brook. Oh and a room for a trade depot. I'll build one later. Note 2: Silver veins. I forgot to mention earlier. Also, I hit blue garmet. I don't have a wiki to check what it's worth, but If I remember correctly it should be shit. No wiki. No friends. No jeweler. Final destination. Note 3: So I told my dwarves to get rid of rather huge land mass that was being hold by 3 tiles of dirt, in other words: intentional cave-in. Well yeah. I fucked up. Alot. The traders that were visiting got pissed off and left, and both of my growers died. Fuck. My carpenter and miners went miserable after their deaths, poor fellows. The miners shall replace the growers for now. Not to worry though! My dwarves' flesh shall be eaten and bones will be grinded into bolts. ..What the fuck do you mean dwarves cannot be butchered? That would've been so awesome. Dwarf on a stick with plump helmet sauce. It is 24th Limestone, 201, Early Autumn FYI. Note 4: MIGRANTS! Let's hope some are growers! If not, I will MAKE them growers. Look at that! A milker and a miller now AKA growers! The stoneworker shall start making some crafts. The fisherdwarf will fish, Animal trainer will be fish cleaner, and the peasants will be drafted. Not bad. I just noticed, there's a SHITLOAD of mountain goats, there's like 3 groups of 4 or 7, and one group is right next to my fortress. I am afraid for my dwarves. What the fuck? When did my miner go unconcious? How? WHY? Note 5: Okay, I thought at first "meh, I shouldn't make a seperate log about this." But now all I can say is wow. I am basically DROWNING in silver. All the white £ marks are silver veins and the * are ore. I can make a shitload of good stuff with this. And actually, this is just ONE of the vein clusters, there are some even on the surface and on the soon-to-be flood room. Note 6: A part of my brook just froze up, this map isn't even cold or freezing. wat. It is early winter. Also, more silver. SKULKING FILTH! What the fuck? MORE OF THEM? FUCK YEAH! One down! One more to go! He's too fast! Aaargh! He probably shit his pants after seeing 2 bloodthirsty dwarves and a dog after him. ffffffffffffffffff Note 7: The whole brook froze over. My dwarves are getting thirsty, because I forgot to make a fucking still. I thought "Cool, now I can make a bad-ass dam!" But as soon as my miner went to channel that shit out, a part of it melted. Now the whole brook looks like an abomination of frozen and unfrozen tiles of water. Note 8: LATER. An elven caravan popped out of the woods. It is year 2 (3?) now by the way. I'm taking a break. End. Edited to fix stuff because of my poor knowledge of using tags properly.

And I'm not a fan of having unneeded flame wars, so I'm just gonna drop the subject.
My mayor mandated the construction of three amulets, which are a craft, so I can't specify my craftsdwarf to make them specifically. After a bunch of useless junk I finally fill his order, then he immediately mandates two more. Fuck him.
Massive demolition of the mountainside, making room for a megastructure. Before After
Dear god, what do you need that much room for?
Please someone comment on my post, took me ages to write that.
Nevermind I was stupid.
Please someone comment on my post, took me ages to write that.
It looks like a very rich fort, I look forward to hearing about its continued exploits, fortunes and misfortunes. I wish it the best of luck. Otherwise there is little that needs saying ... yet. I foresee an interesting future for this fort.
