Woo yeah, Toady is starting work on new, much grander HFS!
It's possible to find HFS in adventure mode now. :tinfoil:
The next big project involves similar stuff down deeper, on a much more grand scale than the previous incarnations (those being game-ending timers and little glowing pits with a few this-and-thats).
If there's gonna be a new HFS game-ending timer I'm gonna fucking kill Toady.
Wow... I started a new fort and struck adamantine with my very first dig designation.
You lucky son of a bitch. :argh:
Few monkeys showed up, I sent my entire military after them and they're all gone now. So yeah, cleaning up, engraving the history and everything is happening now. Will post the fort when it's back on track.
Is there a way to put loose crafts in bins? I have like 2 million of them laying on my stockpile.
As usual, I find out right after I post.
I laughed.

I have craploads of pig tail socks and other clothing laying around. How do I fix this?
you eat them?

Build a dwarven atom smasher, dump them or ignore them. If they're owned by dwarves then the only thing you can do is ignore them.
my dwarves dont dump stuff ,not even idlers
Designate a garbage dump.
I have. They're not dumping stuff I want them to.

If the items are owned by dwarves they can't be touched. Check the items.

It's strange how this hasn't been fixed(For Wrestlers anyway).
We now have volcanic shafty pipey things shooting up through the layers again, and I didn't spot any dangerous flooding. There are various other layer connections as well. I agree, it better not be a timer, and I somehow don't think it will be.
It's not owned. It's just a few things that they won't dump. They dump everything else I ask them to.
What are the exact items you're trying to dump?
A rock.
Can I irigate my underground farm my making it a pond and having the dwarves fill it with buckets?
A rock.
Dig a 1 tile channel. Press [i]. Designate the channel and all of the tiles around it. Set it as a garbage dump. Designate stone for dumping. This will cause dwarfs to take all the things that you designate for dumping and drop them into the channel. You can have a pile of 200 stones taking up the space of one stone using this strategy.
If you want, you can also build a stairwell down into the channel so if you need your stone again, you can just un-forbid it and your dorfs will use it.
dorf?
what's that?
is it like a dWArf but smaller?
dorf?

dorf > dwarf
Three things:
1) Add fortifications on the base entrance
2) Add some more stairs
3) You do not need that many farms. Ever. You can usually get away with 5-6 3x3 farms for a fort that has 200 Dwarves in it.
But besides that, nice work.
Thanks.
Being a huge fucking spider is AWESOME HOLY FUCCKCKCKCKCKCK

Bite people faces off?
Can anybody recommend some good tileset that's not Mike Mayday's? I want to see something different for a while. I remember seeing some tileset where the dwarven military was bulky and had huge axes and shit.
