Dwarf Fortress - Mom, why are those Elves eating each other? - Games

Crap, no river... Just a lot of small pools of water.... Also, can you grow plants on a obsidian floor?

Only if you wet it to cover it with mud first.

So, I just took my time and learned to play this :D Fort 1. Dwarves die of thirst, because of me not making a still. Fort 2. I make a still, and use up all my plants. Dwarves die of hunger. Fort 3. Forget to bring cats/dogs, fort is overpopulated by rats, lizards, and flies. Losing is fun :D

Once I plant the Plump Helmet when it grows will the dwarves automatically harvest and eat it?

Losing is fun :D[/QUOTE] Get 5x5 plot of plump helmets running, and it will produce enough food AND booze for 30 20 dwarf base to survive. Only thing I ever had a shortage of, were wooden barrels, as my brewer spewed out so much booze, that I always ran out of barrels no matter what.

In mine and HALP cat's succession we have so much food we can't use it all and at the moment we are at 500? plants and 1000? booze.

One more thing, I made a dwarf a soldier and I made him use an axe, but he refuses to pick up the steel battle axe provided for him.

How do you exactly fly in adventure mode, if you've modded yourself to be able to fly?

Move up/down. Worked for me.
