The best antagonists are the one's that have the right intentions, just the wrong ways of executing them.
Also, does that mean Saints Row and Red Faction are part of the same timeline?
In a way you can think of it like that.
SR1 = Sponsors a sports arena and a sunglasses shop.
SR2 = Re-builds part of the city during the 5 year gap.
SR2:UE = Ultor is making vehicles to blast through heavy rock, and researching ways of improving lung capacity for miners.
RF = Goes to Mars sometime between SR2 and RF, the player rebels against Ultor for its "Harsh Mining Conditions" and corruption.
RF2 = Ultor is near an obsolete state, but the EDF restarts Ultor.
RF:G = There are not many Ultor references, besides a blown up Ultor bunker.

Saints Row 2 has sledgehammers.

I love how gaming Companies do that, the last person I remember classically doing that was Asimov, who threaded his Robot, Empire, and Foundation series into one 10,000 year timeline when he originally started with only Foundation and the Robot series.
What game is this?
Second Sight, a great game by the Timesplitters team.
What game is this?
Second Sight, made by the people who made Timesplitters
Such a good game.
I always hated having to mow down swathes of Germans with my PPSH in CoD WaW, I'd turn around and see a fuckton of corpses and be like "Did I do that?"
I would have to say the turrets from Portal. "It's not your fault"
"I don't blame you"
Poor little turrets. :ohdear:

By the time you are mowing them down, they are only frightened Wehrmacht soldiers desperately trying to protect their homes from the Russians (who prove that they are not above rape and murder upon capturing a German city.)
Thanks
Man, there's a statute of limitations on this shit, it was '07.
Infantry in RTS games
when they're low on health they scream and beg and whatnot
Flood Carrier forms. just look at this poor bastard: (tagged for size) He's a bloated sack of infected flesh full of living organisms moving around inside him, and his only role is to walk up to you and explode. Keep in mind that any flood infectee is fully concious during the transformation.
The headcrab zombies from half life 2. Just listen to their screams for help!

If you think their screams are bad already, listen to it backwards.
Holy fuck, me too
Are there any video's to confirm this? What makes the stormtroopers in the beginning of the game so much more empathic then the others.

They are fully conscious and aware of the pain they are in, God help the Fast and Poison Zombies.
Oh also I felt terrible after shooting a russian in CoD4 and watching his animation when he pulled the pin of a grenade and held it against his chest
I wish for a game where the protagonist could just walk up to the enemies, and let them go home to their wives and kids.

Or maybe stun or taze the enemies, just killing everyone can be a downer.
In Jedi Knight Academy there is a console command I think it is "g_AISurrender 1" that allows NPCs to drop their weapons and leave. That way I don't feel bad about killing good people :crying:
Whenever I play the MGS series I try to never kill anybody period.
Does anyone remember that game where you're looking through the scope of a sniper rifle, and you can see a man tied to a post in an execution type scenario?

That game must really fuck with you. Every time you go to play the game you will remember that you killed the guy and you can't reverse it :frown:
After playing Braid I feel really bad for playing through it. Finish the game and you will understand what I mean.
I felt bad for killing the engineers in halo ODST

He was a pedophile who raped a 14 year old girl.
Wait, was this the one where he was an opera singer re-enacting a WW1 scene?

The best bad guys are the ones that think they are the Good Guys, especially if the only thing separating them from that distinction is the way they execute their plan.

That was the one. I felt even more sorry for the guy you were supposed to kill in the tutorial mission. Yeah, so he had a shoddy Ferris Wheel, you've all cut corners before, haven't you?
Every WWII game. I always feel bad for my soldiers. I always try and save them by risking my life and dieing so they live. Same thing in Halo. I get all depressed if my squad dies.

I always hate when that happens, when your NPC teammate dyes. I feel bad for about 20 seconds. Then Move on.
But here's to you 101st Airborne soldier in Call of Duty, all those times i couldn't save you when you had yellow health or red health and got shot.

Reinstalling didn't even reset it.
The only way was to track down the registry values and delete them.
The Tasen and Komato in Iji
They're all just trying to expand. Didn't stop me from kicking their asses on the first playthrough though.
