Reinstalling didn't even reset it. The only way was to track down the registry values and delete them.
What game was this? [editline]09:48AM[/editline]
Every WWII game. I always feel bad for my soldiers. I always try and save them by risking my life and dieing so they live. Same thing in Halo. I get all depressed if my squad dies.
It just has that feel like, "Humanity needs every soldier it can get" and you're just chewing through them like Tobacco.
Oh God, I played it and shot him second time I played.
I did the same thing. I won, but then curiosity got the better of me :smith:
Flood Carrier forms. just look at this poor bastard: (tagged for size) He's a bloated sack of infected flesh full of living organisms moving around inside him, and his only role is to walk up to you and explode. Keep in mind that any flood infectee is fully concious during the transformation.
Yes but their brain is altered and absorbed into the hive mind, so it's not like they don't want to do it, unlike headcrab zombies.
Yes but their brain is altered and absorbed into the hive mind, so it's not like they don't want to do it, unlike headcrab zombies.
Actually, they're still fully conscious, but they're being controlled by the infection form, which is controlled by the Gravemind. So they still feel pain and they know that they've been taken over by the Flood but they can't control their body. The infection form can also take their memories and destroy them if it likes. So it's sort of like they're being held hostage, "Cooperate or I destroy your mind." sort of thing.
If you think their screams are bad already, listen to it backwards.
Oh god, that actually made me shudder a bit, I feel sorry for the guy who appears to have been cloned. Why do I have a feeling the guys at Valve might have recorded Gabe on the toilet after a particularly bad curry, then messed about with the equalization and effects :v:
Oh also I felt terrible after shooting a russian in CoD4 and watching his animation when he pulled the pin of a grenade and held it against his chest
They do that? I never noticed, nice little detail.
The Indoctrinated in Mass Effect. Poor bastards, it's not their fault.
Almost every enemy in Kirby :ohdear: [editline]04:19PM[/editline]
The Indoctrinated in Mass Effect. Poor bastards, it's not their fault.
Were those the [sp]people who got taken over by that giant plant thing?[/sp] I felt terrible when I had to kill some of them because I ran out of the special grenades. Turns out there were some right by me :saddowns:
The Indoctrinated in Mass Effect. Poor bastards, it's not their fault.
There was nothing else you could do to help them. Plus, isn't the title supposed to be 'empathetic'? Americans in Company of heroes. I paused when I saw the bodies. and felt bad REAL BAD
Speaking of "enemies": In EvE online, a friend and I once captured a player in a wormhole, warpscrambled his ship, and rendered him totally helpless, and he did nothing but beg for his life and his ship. He was just mining, and my friend wanted a huge ransom. When he couldn't pay, we had nothing else to do than kill him. For that I felt a bit bad, but that was probably because it was anoter human. In FC2 I felt a tiny bit bad for some of the people I had to kill during, just to make a living. Also I like to protect my tiny little conscripts when playing Blitzkrieg as the Russians. I'm very careful when I have to make them go spot for artillery. One time in STALKER, I was in a big firefight. I discovered afterwards that I had hit a loner with a stray bullet and he was lying on the ground, dying. When I tried to go and help him, his mate shot a me because he was scared shitless and thought I was out to get them. When I returned fire, I killed them both and felt really bad for it.
German soldiers in Medal of Honor games Seriously, every time I hit the enemy rifleman and see how he falls to the ground, followed with almost cry of pain, and watch as he slowly gathers strenght to overcome his pain and get up. And then limb slowly to cover. Only to keep shooting me no matter how hopeless his situation was I have always wanted to save their lives and have them surrender so I could spare them. Because everytime I kill a german soldier lying on his back after getting shot, I feel really, really bad. They are just so common like, they aren't any "IN ZE NAME OF FÛHRER, DIE!" but more like "Oh nein! They are coming!" They are just doing the only thing they have left to do Kill and Survive *Edit* Also :<

Luckily there is a resurrect command in the console or else I would be :crying:
The woman from Penumbra: Black Plague. [sp]you think she's a zombie alien thing and you kill her but you're just hallucinating :([/sp]
Oh god, this. She was so nice to you... trying to help you... and she was really looking forward to getting out... )':
Hmm, let's see... The terrorists in Deus Ex, I dunno, I just felt bad for killing them. Not the case for those Majestic 12 bastards, shot every one of them... If I had the ammo for it. Zombies in Half-Life 2 when I realised they were saying 'Help me.' And Alfimi in SRT:OG2, who died even after repenting and fighting against the Einst.
Fallout 1,the undergrounders. I wanted to take the chip from them, they looked so sad running away from me :(... And all i did was killing them.. [editline]03:18PM[/editline]
Zombies in Half-Life 2 when I realised they were saying 'Help me.'
You helped them actually, you removed the headcrap off their heads, and now they're quiet...on the heaven..partying with some girls... Oh,you helped them.dont feel bad. 1x agree fuckyeah

Oh,really? Cool,i tough i would get flamed or something :downs: [editline]03:31PM[/editline]
Yeah, until you realize heaven doesn't exist.
We are speaking like, the best for zombies. Anyway, they are happy soul now.
fuuuuuulll liiiiiiifeeeeeee consequenseeeeeeesssssssss
'It's time to live up to my name and face Full. Life. CONSEQUENCES' 'John Freeman ramped off building and did a backflip and landed'
not to mention Emma, or [sp]Naomi[/sp] man that man takes a violent beating by a gang of pain and anguish and still stands up straight and says "was that it!" at least he has his niece... poor man.
It's his fault for doing his mum. [editline]08:51PM[/editline] Whenever I get sad about Otacon I stop pretty much straight away because I remember he's a mummy bummer.
Shibito from Siren Blood Curse. Not their fault if they get cursed by some shit and turn into creaking zombies.
The Grunts in Half-Life. Maybe they're pricks for shooting you but it's not their fault the military want to contain the aliens. Most of them probably have family and no-one deserves a crowbar to the face.
Enemies in Saw. They only want to survive, but they need the key inside your chest.
