The story, man. Also, info has been released, just not what we expected. Still informative, though. Such as Valve wanting to make the game really scary again. We know they can do a good job at that so we're fucked if we're wearin' clean pants

I was exited for a while after I finished HL2 and the first two episodes, but since then it has died down. I'm looking forward to it, but I won't loose any sleep over it.
I'm not loosing sleep over it but I can't say i'm not looking forward to it. I'm just hopeing it's as good as I can imagine :D
I'm scared that after waiting all this time, I'll quickly play through it (Though it's promised to be a long game.) while being excited the entire time, decimate whatever final sequence of events they have planned as some kind of "boss", and then say "That was.. it?". I'm really hoping that doesn't happen.
I assume they're working on some big project, so I'm excited for it. If they've been keeping it silent I think they're doing it big. I hope its longer and better than Half Life 2. Or just longer because half life is m'azin bro.
I'll get excited about it when I have it on my computer.
Not for me. Don't feel any connection to the series. But I'm looking forward to other games this year.
Yes. Are you fucking retarded?
I want a new engine or at least a super trim super optimized super sexy Source engine. Although from what has been seen in L4D, L4D2, Alien Swarm, and now Portal 2 it looks like its same old source with a new coat of paint. :frown:
I don't like the new source engine, there's something about the feel of it that doesn't feel at all like it did the first time i played half-life 2 in 2004.

Im not very excited about it. I will play it if it dose come out, but its not a big deal for me if I dont get it/its not released
We all love half life, particularly for it's story, now bow down and beg for its forgiveness!
I'd be more excited if they'd show some more media/concept art.
Hopefully in Portal 2 you get to explore the outside of the lab again, looking at whats left of the world (its resources, possibly some abandond combine technology somewhere), as its been about hundreds of years after Half Life 2s events even occured, and maybe it will give hints for Episode 3.
I'm going to ninja into valve and steal a bag full of hard disks. Hopefully I get something worth breaking in for :ninja:
I was excited back in 2007 and 2008, now i'm not, but i would be again if Valve would at least tell us some info or released some media or anything related to ep3.

It would be real interesting to see at the end of Portal 2, a city or society in the background, or something that sheds light on HL2. Maybe after the Combine are gone, everything went back to normal?
Yeah I'm pretty exited about Episode 3. Because of this radio silence I expect Valve to be crafting something nobody expects. I don't think it'll be 'just another episode' like Episode 2 was.
Ofcourse, episode 3 is a point and click game.
They could at least say that they're developing it, I mean right now there's nothing to get excited for.
Best to let this thread die now.
I'll get excited when it at least has a release date.
Just think, Valve aren't saying anything about EP3. But read between the lines, why AREN'T they saying anything?
like, just 'coz.
Just think, Valve aren't saying anything about EP3.
*Valve isn't :eng101: [editline]When Half-Life 2 Episode 3 is released. Duh.[/editline] On topic: No, not really.
I'm not all that exited about it yet, but when the release news I will get exited, and when It is released everyone here will shit their pants.
Umm yeah. Of course those who say it are fucking excited. That's a dumb question...
to be honest, valve cant deliver what we expect, for the amount of time we have been waiting, most people expect either a cheap price or source turning into some godlike engine that looks better than crysis on a windows 3.0 machine. when you think about it- valve only needs a few modelers and mappers to make a few half life two maps and bundle them together with a half life episode 3 logo on it.
yes no maybe
I would shit my pants if they had dynamic water.
