Gamespot had to intervene in the war to change the votes to make Link win. I got suspicious when that "Nintendo Named the Best Company in the World" news was on their site.

Currently as it goes, I believe that if Gordon can keep at least 300 votes over link on exit, he's won. It's true, the Link voters will jump mario, but to that matter, all the mario voters already voted link. Mario's strongest opponent all contest has been kratos, which seeing as he bested Cloud [b]would[/b] mean something, except for one problem.
In round two, Cloud's match took him against Lil mac. As much as we may remember Mac, him getting almost 50-50 with Cloud is a pretty good sign Cloud isn't up to his usual power this year.
Gordon, although barely, did manage to beat last year's second placer Snake, and Link seems to be faltering.
Even with true Nintendoan support, it looks like we may push to victory.

Link is slowly climbing back into it, but even if he takes the lead I think we can still take it back. I still think this battle ends at midnight tomorrow, but the schedule they have is poorly made.
Gordon has taken the larger leads, and has been quick at taking back leads and holding them for longer time periods. Gordon jumps up to around 400-500 vote leads and has held this one since around 4 am. Link on the other hand takes 200 vote leads and holds them for 5 hours if he's lucky. Link retaking the lead by tomorrow morning could help us in a sense because if we retake it, it gives the Link fans less time to organize a counter.
