Quite the opposite would happen technically. Juggernaut franchises like the Mario series are the reason why the gaming industry is so stagnant right now. Sure there are original ideas floating around everywhere, but the few that people talk about are usually sequels and spinoffs.
Not to mention Mario has done nothing revolutionary since Mario 64 (I did like Sunshine, but there was nothing revolutionary about it, and no I didn't like Galaxy.) Other than what I just mentioned, which I wouldn't want to brag about.

Also included is the ability to write the results to a text on the desktop. For those that didn't read the first source code post, it determines by how many the winner is winning, and percents to as precise as C# can handle. It's funny how people degrade Freeman's heroism on the fact that he is a mute. While Mario is barely understandable with his fake heavy Italian accent while he always "WAHOOOS" every time he freaking jumps. They are both fine examples of heroes (definition "a man distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength") But in todays society Gorden Freeman is a better example of a hero based on the "quests" he has undergone the trials and tribulations he has faced and the outcomes derived from his actions.
