it's like fallout 3.
it's not as good as the previous games.
get over it.
EVERY NEW game is worse then the old games.
graphics may be worse then but the game had depth and story.
it's called the human race effect, As more humans populate they get dumber, and look at the U.S it's a prime example.
so, get over it and stop bitching about things that can't change.
Yeah I know Fallout 3 should've used 15 year old graphics and be turn based :downs:
I must admit, I don't like the idea of auto-stat either but it's not enough to bawww that the game is bad
It's Blizzard.
They know what they're doing, they have yet to make a single bad game.
Yep. Blizzard's good at what they do. They've got plenty of petrol in the engine, and they're always on the track. But as the Wise Ones say, "Never say never". (although by saying that phrase, you effectively say never, so basically Blizzard's gonna be good for a LONG time)
Baww the tiny characters which I will look at for less than a second while playing have some miniscule changes that I don't like. Screw blizzard, dude.
So if i got this right from the OP, everything that's fat and a monster is a rip off from the abomination in WoW/wc3? G FUCKING G!
Oh god, the thousand pounder looks really dull,LOL at the steakhouse and telephone pole :))
Real people don't nitpick over decent visuals. Instead, they take a long hard look at the gameplay and functionality. For example, the Barbarian's a powerful melee guy, Wizard's good at DPS'ing, Witch Doctor has minions to rend his enemies apart with, and Monk's got loads of martial artistic ability. The replacement of Health Potions with Health Orbs that work instantly on pickup sure adds some constant motion to the gameplay, meaning you don't have to constantly select your potions.
Although I will admit that I miss the old Potions bar. I could easily press a button to quickly knock back a Full Rejuvenation potion during one of the boss battles. Really saved my ass when I fought the Prime Evils. However, I do like the look of the Spell Bar they have there now. I would easily select spells to bus out with that, even if it does carry a certain silly stigma of being associated with World of Warcraft.
I kicked Blizzard's worthless ass off of my personal favorite game developer list after they cancelled Starcraft: GHOST and went on to create not one, but two direct expansion packs for their precious overgrown, bloated, fatass cash cow, World of Warcraft. A special 'fuck you' also goes out to them for replacing the Necromancer class with the witch doctor in D3.
Oh no, not shoes!

wasn't my point, and that is kind of off topic, fallout 3 could have just been better, I like thati was realtime and full 3d it needed that for rebirth, but it turned out so fucking bad I need 20gbs of mods to make it playable.
The sniper can shoot at 90 degree angles right from the barrel. anyway lets get back on topic.
I think we can all agree that the op is an idiot, the end, end of story, fin.
Thread really has no more to be said I don't think and should in my opinion be locked.

When you can post like a slightly mature person and not one of those 10 year olds on youtube I might listen to you.
p.s. The anime avatar doesn't help at all either.

The monsters are what makes up the Diablo games. To say you'll look at them for a second while fighting them is stupid, they do have a big impact on the atmosphere and the game.
Honestly, if the OP had a more clear view on his opinion rather then exaggerating everything, this thread would have turned out much better.
The only thing I agree with the OP on is that I am afraid that too much Warcraft will spill into Diablo, ultimately ruining my experience as I want to kill scary ass demons, not cartoony creatures. Obviously there will be some reused creatures, but as long as they modify them enough for the Diablo realm I should be happy.
I agree with the OP in that they do seem to be porting WoW's art style to Diablo 3 to an extent. Which is really something they should avoid. It's a game that's supposed to be gritty and dark, not silly and cartoony. For instance, if you could see any of the models in your little brother's favorite Disney game, then there's a problem.
Look at the King, he does not look like a scary and foreboding enemy, he looks like the evil doer in a Saturday morning cartoon.

more like from any generic mmo
D3 is not bad, it's kinda different.
They seem to aim more at wow players to cash in even more with this similar art style. Sure, I will play D3 too, but it won't be the same as d2 anymore.
Your opinion is, in my own opinion, ignorant and not worth stating. However, you've already stated your opinion, so here is my opinion on your opinion.
Fuck you, Diablo 3 rocks.

I totally agree.
And I believe this guy makes a few valid points:

I think you are confusing the references, Diablo 2 was made before WoW so WoW creatues are actually based on Diablo creatures, not the other way round
thats funny.

I kinda agree with him, but how the hell do you count detail?
I kinda agree with him, but how the hell do you count detail?
I'm guessing that he's joking, but I can't really say.
He makes a much better point then the OP I agree with him.
And damn that shelf is a total rip from wow.
I also counted the detail, I think it was actually about 1.46x more detail, to be exact.
Regardless of this, I don't care. I enjoyed Diablo II, and I'll most likely enjoy this.

The Shelf.

One belongs to D3 and the other to WoW. Guess which picture belongs to which game.

Wow's textures on the ground are all mirrored weirdly (in SW). Diablo III's aren't and they are higher resolution.
But are there at least bumpmaps on d3's textures?
heyguys inever played the game but i already know what the new king leoric'a animation are gonna be he's totally not gonna use his two hands to swing it because his idle is one handedomg
lolthisgamesucks, they're reusing ideas from previous games :0
Am I the only one who thinks the art style is perfectly fine and I'll enjoy playing this game because it'll be fun?
