The witchdoctor isn't like anything in WoW.
You're an ignorant one aren't you?
Elaborate.
And how is the Witch Doctor ANYTHING like the Shaman?
Well since you said ANYTHING, I'll say the look of the equipment they wear.
No it is not.
"Color, in my Diablo 3? Aww hell naw!"
Those are 90% of the arguments I've heard.
It's not the colour, it's the atmosphere that has changed. It's too... Disney-ish...
It's the damn green/blue glows.

I need not elaborate any further. He isn't alike any of the classes, nothing more to say.
Do some research...
I don't think Diablo 3 will suck.
I mean come on, it's Blizzard.
Even if it's not Diablo, you know it's going to be fun.

how can you be certain? they've kept the voice actors, and with the right music they can still instill the same mood...
I hardly noticed Diablo 2's music. Seems like it was mostly soft lone strummings

it's acrually really cool music, if you ever get around to a replay, pay attention to the music, it adds some mood

Diablo 1 had some memorable good music.

Here, read this.
How about you fuck off and stop complaining about this game, if you think its not going to be great, so what, whining about it isn't going to make the dev's go, OH WAIT WHAT HAVE WE DONE, THIS ONE PERSON KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT, how about you take your thread and stick it up your arse.

If you actually read the whole thread, you would see that I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Yeah, the music's pretty good, rather atmospheric. Great audio for a great game
Although I will admit that Act 4 was a bit shorter than the rest of the acts. Not as many areas/waypoints, not a single dungeon, and only 3 quests: Kill Izual, Smash Mephisto's Soulstone, and Kill Diablo. They were indeed intense, but still, there could've been more quests and areas in Hell. After all, it was the climactic act in the original version. But at least Act 5 added in Lord of Destruction provided more, and actually had portals to Hell scattered throughout the areas around Arreat, and those acted as the dungeons for that Act.

Who in their right mind will read all 7 pages?
That skeleton king looks fucking awesome in my opinion.
Who in their right mind will read all 7 pages?
...did you just try to argue against reading the thread? This isn't a 70 page megathread....it's 7 pages.
Honestly, all we can do is wait. Both sides will constantly fuck eachother over with fanboy-esque tactics until the game is released and we play it for ourselves.
Yep, waiting's all we can until it's done.
No, we can also make and post in threads like this
I personally am not sure where to stand on this matter. I believe that the game will be fun, and have some faith in Blizzard's decisions, but the more I think about it, the less comfortable I may be with the art style.
Sure, some of the arguments are a bit overboard saying it looks like "Disney", because it doesn't. At all. But the other half of the arguments bring legitimate points to the table, and some I can just not argue with.
All in all, I think this will be a fun game, I'm not sure how it will look when it's released, and I know complaining about it is only going to make people doubt Blizzard even more, rather than changing anything. (Not to knock the OP at all.)
Jesus christ it's my opinion. Diablo and world of warcraft are not supposed to be melded together. Diablo is brutal, dark, bloody and scary. Thats what made it different than all the other shit that came out. This is just ruining it
Actually, i liked the gameplay mechanics more than what it looked like. Hence why a lot of people still play it online. The game is old, if they cared about what it looked like, they would have quit playing years ago.
Also we've seen like 20 minutes of very unfinished footage. Has anyone mentioned that yet?

It's not the old graphics, it is the change in art style.
It's like Sin City was suddenly done in all color because they thought black and white would not bring in enough readers.
That's just a huge exaggeration. Diablo II had lots of color.

Everyone looks at the wet burlap sack that was the First act and probably didn't play it beyond that.
The desert was actually so bright I had to turn down my brightness settings in that act.
Then you encounter beetles & shit that are all kinds of bright fluorescent colors, constantly emitting lightning bolts and shooting shiny green goop at you.
Diablo 2:

And Diablo 3:

I think the main difference is that shit in Diablo 3 is less blurry and more clearly defined.

yeah i agree, but "someone" will probrably point out some imaginary difference apart from the isometric 2D to isometric 3D and different filter difference...

What else can I do, other then "whine" then? Shut up? Witness the murder of a great series and just stand there and watch? I'd rather voice my opinion, which is within my rights.

And regarding the above images, not a big fan of the "foggy" ambient and I'm hoping that those corpses and blood effects are just place holders.

graphics = murder
besides graphics are fine shush naive child
yes
they killed the atmosphere
Environments change. It's not like every level will be the same because Diablo 2 had it in that order.
"lol fritsts act should be dark liek act 1 in d2 lol"
"second act shulda be desertr"
"3rd should be kurast", and etc.
Have you noticed that Sanctuary is an entire side of a planet/whole planet? That planet is round, and like round planets, the climates change from place to place, and different places have different weather.
