If you play GW1 after seeing GW2 stuff you're just gonna sit around thinking "GW2 will be much more fun than this". I pretty much stopped playing (after doing about 6 hours a day for over a year) thanks to GW2. On the plus side, I am doing something constructive with my time... At least until GW2 comes out.
I do enough constructive stuff with my hours of homework, so I don't feel bad about playing games.
I have my constructive hours, then my gaming hours. Learn to use your time wisely young one.
Anyone want to play, I've been bored with other games and want to play some Guild Wars. I'm up for anything except PvP, I'm not a fan of PvP. We could Dual Rit UW, I haven't tried that yet. [editline]05:32PM[/editline] Add Spirit Master Tyoun
Rit farming is awesome/easy mode [IMG_THUMB]http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/1695/fullofwin.jpg[/IMG_THUMB]
I'd recommend making a Ritualist, they can solo the Underworld pretty well.. Though you don't have to be a ritualist, I don't have a rit and just use the build with my elementalist. It also works for rangers, most people say it works pretty well with most professions, except for warrior obviously. Uhm. Talk like a Pirate weekend is amazing..
Hundred blades makes soloing UW very easy as a warrior. 330 rits are slow, and the ash drop builds lack the resilience of many other builds. Any profession can solo UW these days, but the money generation per hour is ridiculously slow compared to speed clears. Speed clears contain a decent amount of solo farming depending on the area you farm in and the UW/FOW chest is guaranteed to drop an ecto/shard and a few other items, as well as being the only place in the game to get a few skins.
I'd do speed clears, but I don't have anyone to teach me the run. But anyway, I don't need much money, so I don't care that much about how efficient something is anyway. When I can make 35k in an hour, I'm just fine.

You'll be accepted in "Pro" Groups and you should be able to manage.

It'll give me something to do in that darn game. Or is it just Spirit Spammer? Also, NM or HM?
oh god gimme build now! It'll give me something to do in that darn game. Or is it just Spirit Spammer? Also, NM or HM?
Just spirit spammer. NM, because the ecto drop rate is no different in HM.
Stones? Summoning stones?
Those dhuum stones thingies.
Just spirit spammer. NM, because the ecto drop rate is no different in HM.
Good to know. I'll try that out.
Those dhuum stones thingies.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ghastly_Summoning_Stone This thing?
Yessir, those things. They drop after each completion of a run, and are used as an indicator of experience/skill (Which is utter BS, doubly so because of the fact that you can buy them from players)
I played what I suppose was the beta (You started lvl 20 and fairly deep into the game.) And I still haven't been able to stick with a character until lvl 20. I have a nasty habit of getting to lvl 18 or 19 before deleting a character.
whoa, people still play gw? that's awesome i own the whole series and have played it on and off for a few years. only thing that really interests me in gw anymore is getting cool armor. none of my friends ever play gw so it gets pretty lonely, if i actually knew people in-game i'd probably be on more. This may be little bit offtopic, but is the guild wars series 1-4 changed atall? I've taken maybe a year break and might have forgotten my password / email :s .. Well anyways is it worth to reinstall? I've played all campaings .. And does 55hp monk, SF assassin, TOPK solo asssassin build work still? any fest coming up?
They nerfed Shadow Form, but there are new builds out there that use it in a different way to be invincible. There are good working 55hp monk builds out there too. Also there's some new content in the form of the 'war in kryta' quests which give you new stuff to do + rewards. The next event coming up is Halloween.
I mostly do pvp, my main is Eudoxia The Seer
bump. Anyone know what the price on Miniature Water Djinns are?
What is this thread doing back here? It's Halloween! Wake up up my servants, or feel my wrath!
I haven't done the Halloween quests yet, but I've heard they are supposed to reward very handsomely on experience? I'm sure anybody hanging around Lion's Arch or Kamadan will know how annoying the "has gained a skill point!" notices are getting. :P

I'm sure anybody hanging around Lion's Arch or Kamadan will know how annoying the "has gained a skill point!" notices are getting. :P
Well, they've got last years quests, and on top of that new quests this year, 4 in Tyria, 4 in Kamadan. Last years gives 250, Tyria's give 250, and Kamadans give 250 when each are fully completed. Which should give you in total of 750 Trick-or-Treat bags on one character. Seriously, it's like they want you to get titles faster now. And if you don't care for the bags, they go for around 35-45k a stack, or for 4-7 ectos. :unsmith:
Like I said elswhere, getting the titles on ToT bags alone would be very expensive. ~66 stacks to get sweet too, and then another 95 stacks to get party animal. (this is including the points you got from the previous 66.) I would probably be a better idea to wait until after halloween, when the prices will raise slightly, then sell them. Then go ahead and buy whatever ones you want.
That's my idea as well, trying to get ~10 stacks (Only 1 character on my new account and I'm not farming with it) And then waiting till the prices head back into the 30-40k range, then dumping them.
anyone still play this and want to make a FP guild? I want to get back in playing but it's boring alone.
The FP guilds are never active enough.
oh. :frown:
What the fuck? Goddamn hat turns my character into a furry. [editline]31st October 2010[/editline]
