Oh my god dervishes are gonna not suck after this update! Yay!
Oh my god dervishes are gonna not suck after this update! Yay!
Woo, my level 19 dervish is going to have a use :v:
I never remade my dervish after getting my new account, but I might if this turns out good.
I had the same problem as the guy above with my account character thing, I am reinstalling GW after getting all excited over GW2!
Trying to get the Black Moa Chick is so annoying... So many things to do..
Trying to get the Black Moa Chick is so annoying... So many things to do..
I still have to get it as well, dreading it.
I got the Incubator kit, 1 Honeycomb and 1 Nesting Material till now. Getting to the place where I need to harden the egg at the moment. So boring...
I got mine recently. It was such a pain in the butt. I take him everywhere with me now. I worked hard for this little cunt, so people better look at me and think "wow look at that hardcore motherfucker and his ADORABLE FLUFFY BIRD" or this whole thing will be a wasted endevour, and I will not stand for that shit. [editline]12th February 2011[/editline] I named him Moe.
I'm just going to dump him into my HoM for the Unique Minipet point. Then throw him into storage. On another note: Me and my friend just cleared most of UW with our rits and got 5 ecto. Not too bad.

Solo or duo ritting UW is the best. Got 3 ectos just from the chamber one time. Died afterwards though, but I wasn't complaining. Trouble with the solo version is if you die you have no buddy to res you and the smite crawlers are fucking impossible. [editline]12th February 2011[/editline]
Not to burst your bubble, but I really don't see that happening.
well darn [editline]12th February 2011[/editline] fuck that I'll MAKE it happen!
Not to burst your bubble, but I really don't see that happening.
It will happen, just give the fucker a tophat

(Like, if I added you on your necro, I'd see if you logged in on your war, as long as they're on the same log-in account)

Add me on Steam, too.
Guild Wars was an amazing game. And then Factions and Nightfall came out and everything turned to shit. Players began doing PvE runs on their own, only going for the skills essential to farm high selling items. GW isn't even worth playing anymore. I still have a Warrior stuck at Thunderhead Keep because no one will join my party to help out. And I can't solo it for the life of me even with Nightfall Heroes helping me.

If you do, you'll have people to play with, which makes the game a WHOLE lot better.
We should get a facepunch guild together =] I jus dusted off my old account i figured why the hell not, hold me over for a bit till guild wars 2 =]
Holy Balls. On another note..... By Ural's hammer got reworked, which hurts 90% of the spiker bars used in any clear ever, and actually effects a ton of general builds as well. The same, to a lesser extent, with intensity. Rending sweep can fuck over a standard tank in Gloom for DoA SC so some bars are going need adjustment. Mesmer spike is a lot weaker in DoA now, but we can still work with what we have since the spikes were such overkill anyways. Dervs are capable of 100b for manly spike setups now as well. In a lot of ways they are even better because they can use conviction to strip blind off themselves which makes life a lot easier when stepping on traps and other assorted crap. Most of the sand shards/snoway bars for dungeon clears are nerfed as well, but for those we can just switch to ele or mesmer skills for the spikes. Regardless, the speed clears using these tactics are going to be slower now. I can also now do a droknars forge run (using booze) with permanent 50% run buff and four, FOUR, shadow steps on the bar. That's disgustingly fast. Lot of fun reworks all around. There is tons of stuff that is never going to get used though.
Oh my god it happened already! I thought it'd be another week or so! Time to break out the ol' derv! I am excited. Kinda pissed off about Ural's though. BUT Intensity makes up for it, if you're an ele. Which I am. I reckon the new clears are gonna used intensity spikers a LOT now, which makes me happy. Better start farming my SS title... I'm liking the sound of that drok's run by the way. a LOT. That's just insane. Better start using that method before they nerf it... [editline]18th February 2011[/editline] Mis-read the new description of Intensity... it's not that great really. Might be useful for a certain farm though... I guess EBSoH is the only one of those damage increasers left...
Holy fuck yes yes yes dervish update. I deleted my dervish years ago but I loooooooooooove having dervishes in my party, they're really fun to play along side of, hope to see more of them in ZB's now. Also, another reason I'm super excited for this is that it means the FB update is right around the corner: When asked if there will be a melee hero AI update included in the Feature Build (Embark Beach and Hero Cap):
Yeah, I'd like to see it going in with that build. If it doesn't, then it would happen in a build to follow that adds another feature we've been kicking around for Heroes. Mostly it depends on how much time Joe has before we push the build, because he's currently finishing up work on one major new feature for Heroes. We've worked through the growing pains and finishing up old projects that we had an obligation to, and I think this will be a big year for us. I still have some concerns about getting people used to the pattern of "expect a big build with a lot of stuff in it," again instead of smaller updates trickling out here and there, but hope that Dervish and Embark show that they can be worth it. Failing that, I think I'll just go with your earlier suggestion of kicking back at my desk with a cigar and posting a picture of that in response to whenever someone's upset about something. Apparently there was a bug where using "By Ural's Hammer!" would bring back summoned spirits that went away, meaning it was possible to have multiple spirits of the same type at once. The duplicates wouldn't do damage, but if you used Spiritleech Aura or Painful Bond they'd do damage from that. Apparently it was crazy fun, but they fixed it pretty quickly. Shame I missed out on that :(

Think of it this way: if you know everything that you're getting for Christmas (or other similar gift giving occasion) it feels like it's just taking longer to get them. If you don't know, then it's genuinely a surprise to be happy about. People's perceptions can take something that is good, and skew it to "This was owed to me/this was promised" where it then becomes a negative. It's kind of sad but true, and you can see this happening on the forums all the time. The short of it is yes, we're changing a couple of titles that are less than ideal to make them better. We're changing still more beyond that, which makes it hard to keep things from slipping to the Live server sometimes when a build is this big. But at least people don't have to wonder about it for that long. Abuse reap impurities. If you can reliably multihit its an easy, spammable 80 or 120 holy damage explosion every 2 or 3 swings. Any sort of individual or team setup that can rapidly apply several conditions works well with it. I've actually been having a lot of fun with a fevered dreams and fragility mesmer because reap impurities lets you strip conditions and reapply them which means ridiculous amounts of fragility triggers and daze getting thrown everywhere.
