-PvP Updates
Added support for the August Flux.
[Bug] This update introduced a bug where players who consume sweets in a competitive outpost or guild hall will lose health if they run and subsequently die in the outpost.
I need to find a reliable way to make money other than randomly running around doing missions and stuff hoping for drops. D:
Domain of Anguish.
Should I pick up EoTN and Factions? I really need something to do until Gw2 is released. Also, how exactly does it work when you order one of the games over steam? do you get the key in your email, or?
Just hit the CD Keys link.

DoA SC yes. NM glaiveway no. Glaiveway is dumb. You get 4 gems from the last chest in what can be 2 full hours or more of work. Assuming you get a couple gem drops on the way you get 30k + other drops in that time. You may as well join a FoW guild that can churn out sub 20s. Frostway is better, though you'd better enjoy pugs failing it.
DoASC for mediocre guilds is around 1 hour and 60k in gems alone. Good guilds can get sub 40s regularly.

Or you could just play the game normally and max out the storage in 3-4 weeks anyway.
He asked about fast money. DOA SC is fast money. Glaiveway really isn't. Realistically you get plenty of money to survive through normal gameplay but if you want fancy stuff it's usually priced accordingly.

There are very few things that go for more than 1k plat.
I started dabbling in UW solo farming. Seems to work decently enough for me. I don't have an active guild anymore, and I'm still quite nooby when it comes to GW stuff, so I haven't really been able to join any kind of SC group for the cash.
If you have skill and/or experience in speedclears, try seeking out one of those guilds that get you to post a request to join on their forum, you can get big moneys that way. I used to be in a DoASC guild called [ToYs] or something like that.
I just logged in for the first time in 2 years, and I have no idea what is going on. Main characters name is Ijo Sensho because I am cool as fuck.
Double Luxon/Kurzick point weekend! Time to grind some rep.
Anyone have some good ways to take advantage of this weekend? My plan for now is just vanquishing.

Everything here is so perfect, from the compass, to the chat box, down to the silly skill icons, the heroes, and the leaver.
Can anyone tell me what the song is in the login menu?
the first one that plays? That's the eye of the north theme.. Dunno what it's title is but it may well just be Eye of the North Theme, seeing as the song that played in the first version of the game was called Guild Wars Theme (which happens to remain my favourite song in any of the games)
Would have been 8 if our forge hadn't glitched. FoW speed runs are so stupidly spawn dependent. Forge being 40 seconds slow caused Tower of Strength and Khobay to be delayed. 8 is stupidly easy, just need the planets to align so we don't have dumb spawns wasting time. 7 should be fairly straightforward, but even more spawn dependent.

In any case, a 9 minute FoW is still pretty damn solid.
I've been playing this crazy this week, I never really paid attention too it as a kid, runes and stuff. I just wanted cool armour. Enjoying it so much more now I'm beginning too understand and advance through campaigns. Still want too get a good build for Elementalist too do FoW/UW or whatever else.

4 sins, 2 rits and a ranger? What team is this? Have they come up with a new FoWSC? I am intrigued.
Congrats, also.
It's T5way with DWG spikers, or as I like to call it RRRway. It's seriously 6 copies of shadow form and 2 copies of DWG. This is not something you want to do unless you are pushing for times and are willing to blow pcons like crazy. If you want crisp clean 15-20 minute runs, go do mesway with a T3, and a ranger split for terra's one and two.
For T5way You have to pop a lot of pcons just to survive, and you do a lot of braveway tactics. In wailing forest mobs are pulled aside for the griffons to slip out, and the things that cannot be pulled away are just plowed through. That means they die... a lot. Rastigan dies frequently. Bad spawns throw timings off frequently. Everything in a normal run involves going for safety. You clear out foes that might be problematic. If something goes funky in one of the normal runs you spend 2 minutes to prevent fails. If something goes wrong in one of these runs you say tough shit, plow through it, and see if you instantly fail out or not.
I call these RRR, Red Rock Resignway for a reason. Actually since I'm the forest terra I usually pop multiple rocks so for me its Rainbow Rock Resignway.
The TL;DR of it is, T5way and T4way are both barely better than t3way for casual runs. The strain put on the main team goes up to absurd levels as you reduce the size of it, and the time savings are marginal unless you are doing really elaborate splits that make the strain on your spikers even greater. This is probably the best general purpose casual FoW team setup. The spiker bars on wiki are a little inefficient and I honestly prefer using slightly modified tactics because they make things a couple minutes faster, but it's a good baseline to begin from.
Well, thanks to the weekend event, I managed to get both of my faction titles up high enough for HoM. About a million points just from vanquishing the areas.
The fact that it takes 10 mil to max a title scares me though.

Took me quite a while to max Kurz and lux through vanquishes, got me quite a good amount of money in the process though.
I maxed one, have no incentive or desire to max the other. On the double weekend for turning points in followed by the double weekend for vanquishing a while back I did roughly 8 million points in 8 days. I was able to do this by being a dick and kicking people who couldn't churn out 7 - 8 minute runs doing MQSC. Had about 5 people including myself that went for a good 4 hours straight, and some of us ran into each other on other days and kept on rolling.
Never again.
How faction farming alliances can take holding towns seriously is something I will never understand. There are seriously some people in the town that holds cavalon that have 30 and 40 million points on their titles.
Anyone remember HFF??? I got to r5 Kurzick through that baby, I had a few guildies who got r10 on multiple accounts with it though.
I know 3 or 4 people who got permanently banned for botting it, and who then got their permanent bans reworked as suspensions when the updates rolled out a couple years ago that revamped those titles.
Oh god am I supposed to get my ass beat so hard on the Vanguard quests? It's either that or I have a megaterrible character because 2 lvl 11's and one lvl 14 completely DESTROYED me. I'm lvl 14, by the way. 5 Strength, 5 Death Magic, 5 Tactics and 5 Swords. My equipment is relatively good. Full Krytan, shield with +10 armor and -5 damage, a sword with 10-14 damage and +17% damage when health is above halfway. What am I doing wrong? As of now I'm being reduced to taking them out one death at a time(for me and them) :suicide:
+17% damage when health is above halfway.
Wait what. That normally only goes to 15%. Do you mean when health is below halfway? That one goes to 20%.

Also, I would recommend just putting your skill points into fewer sections. 10 Swords and 10 Strength is much better than 5/5/5/5, for example. You'll have access to less skills, but they will be much more useful.
There are only a few situations in the game where doing a two or a three way attribute split isn't optimal, and most of those involve maxing one and splashing in 3 others to hit breakpoints. For chars that aren't maximum level it's generaly pick a line and max it, then dump points into something else, in your case probably tactics for healing.
Also warriors in pre suck at the vanguard quests due to the absurd amount of physical hate in the mobs there. At least you can pump your weapon points and do heavy damage, but still, that doesn't do much when you are getting knocklocked by grawl or can't move because of the snares.
Then again it's pre. Find a pal and steamroll. Most of the quests are trivial with a decent partner.
I'm back after not playing for almost a year. My main motivation is to get as many points as possible for HoM, maybe even get to 30, where I'll be satisfied and move on to GW2 when it's out. I got 15 at the moment. This game is hell for perfectionists.
