Bleh, I completely forgot about Pink Day in LA. Guess I'm sticking w/ White+Red. [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25270264/Guild%20Wars/PinkAndSilky.png[/thumb]
You can still buy pink dyes from the trader if they aren't sold out. (The fad will fade pretty quickly, so they will soon be worth next to nothing since they are no longer a limited item.)
me and my friend went through his old inventory and found out we have a bajillion dollars [editline]17th October 2011[/editline]
got some to spare? ;)
I remember playing this back in the day, are there still people playing this? If so I might join in :o
Yeah lots of people are playing. Mainly because of the HoM.
A friendly reminder that I will be buying metric fuck tons of ToTs, and specifically buying candy corn and apples by the truckload towards the end of the event. I've got about 1,400,000 gold to sink into this at the moment, and I can pay in ectos, gemsets, or armbraces as well.
I have a stack of ToT Bags i'm trying to sell and 100 Winter Gifts. Also how do you get so much money!?! It's the only thing holding me back from getting Rank 30 HoM...
I'm buying towards the end of the event. By the way, 40k is ludicrously high even now. I intend to buy stacks at 20k or less towards the end of the vent. If you can sell high right now, go for it. I'll be around to clean up once the market gets saturated. Once the quests start up, there will be a massive glut of ToTs in circulation due to the stacks of mobstoppers people have farmed. As for the money. I live in DoA. I literally only touch other areas of the game about twice a week outside of map travel. No other pve area has the complexity of DoA, and as such I find the majority of the rest of the game boring. People can go do their 2 hour frostway garbage if they want; the real deal is trenchway. The money is an incidental bonus at about 60k per run in 30-40 minutes. I'm not here for the money. As soon as DoA stops being fun, I'm off to a different game.
Well I just sold a stack of them for 40k. Working on getting another stack :)

I don't do cash handouts. It always turns into a begging game, and I won't be bothered with it. I've already given away tons of stuff to people in this thread in terms of greens and other assorted crap like runs, and tutorials. As far as trickle down goes, I'm buying ToTS. Your services, my money. I'm not going to derail this thread any further with responses to donation requests. I don't like waving my edick around because of what happens. I've made note about the enormous disparity between player skill and interests before, and that still holds true here. If you want to do DoA, you can app to the guild. We teach, but there are basic requirements for character development, and if you don't learn, expect to get trolled for it. High end play in any game is full of asshats. If you want information about apping, or just DoA guilds in general, pm me. Don't clutter this thread up with it. Just a heads up, no guild worth joining for DoA will accept you unless you have a mesmer at DoA, and most guilds will insist on having several pve ranks at decent levels on that mesmer. We insist on R7 asuran for example. High end play is not the village people running into an area and using bane signet on mobs. We use elaborate tactics, heavily specialized builds, and mandate use of personal consumables to get quality runs. If you want to be a part of that, message me. If not, so be it. We shall go our separate ways and continue as we have done before.
CB really pisses me off at times. Rangers are godlike in there, and if you're against two monks you can forget about winning. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] I'm not going to be able to make it to rank 30 HoM... I might be able to make it to rank 26 though. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] Maybe if I get lucky with the Zaishen Chest I could make it to 28!
Rangers are good in the brawl because they have a snare and there isn't much removal. Guild wars is a game that has an absolutely ridiculous emphasis on positioning and field control. Rangers dominate in that respect in GvG play, and while pin down is nowhere near the power level of crip shot, it is still a really damned good skill in a sealed deck format where removal is so limited. The spammable rupt, natty stride, and access to the best preparation in the game is just gravy at that point.
Zephyrs gives off this very, high-level hardcore vibe. It's oddly refreshing, i've never felt like guild wars could have that, allways felt more a solo-orientated game to me, bar pvp. Going to get back into it, Gotta get that Norn armour, Do you have any Dervish builds for general PvE? (though, if you have any solo pvp ones i wouldn't mind :v:) need to redo EoTN for the reputation.. and to hopefully earn the cash
Does anyone have a 40/40 Curse set or know where I can get one?
A Vow of Strength setup that is better in certain situations for general pve, but the most universal bar has to be this. I don't always like eremites in there, depending on mob composition. If your hero setup has many conditions, reap impurities is a decent nuke every time it hits. 40/40 sets can be crafted at vasburg armory or leviathan pits in factions. The cost is 5k per item and some materials. You can find out the specifics on the wiki by looking through the list of items there, or just visiting the town. They are blues, and have simple skins, but they get the job done. It's an excellent way to fully equip heroes as well.
Thanks, the Luxon side of this is Telamon. I'm gonig to set up a Team Sabway for anything NM/HM. Also, what about a 40% HCT/20% ench Death staff? [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] The only one I can find is Droknar's Staff.
Fucking wow, I used my only Transmorgrifier Tonic for a halloween quest into the Underworld, halfway through it lags to fuck for no reason and I die. Now I need to go get another tonic or I can't do the mission again. Such a bitch.

It works surprisingly well, especially since my main profession is warrior. So if you are pretty much any other class (ranger works well) it'll be easier to use. It doesn't get as much money as DoA, but its solo oriented and much easier to set up.
How much do people buy ToT bags for? I have a couple 100x stacks, just wondering.
30-40k a stack
The quests have started. ToTs are plummeting. I've already seen people selling at 20-25k per stack. In a couple days I'm going to start buying.
I'm still sure we'll be able to sell at 40k no doubt to those needy folks.
I could go into spamadan right now and buy 10 stacks at 25k in 5 minutes. Anyone paying more than 30k right now is dumb. If you find a moron you can sell to, that's great. The market is getting saturated, and the endless skeleton farming is going to keep driving prices down until the end of the event. It's generally not going to be worth your time to spend forever looking for buyers at high prices, when you could be farming more in the same time and selling fast at lower prices.
I like the Vale Wraith costume.
Looks like one of the Halloween hats is going to be a pirate hat, according to Facebook.
Yeah. I've been getting my Tyrian explorer title up, just got to 80%. I'm still so disappointed at all of the wasted space there is on this map - so much opportunity for amazing design that will never be seen.
I ended up not farming ToTs... ah well, i don't play enough to ever spend the 1 million gold I have anyway. I'll be getting me some funky hats though! :D
