If you are looking for just facepunch people you won't be able to get enough people to actually do much of anything.
Guild wars on steam is just normal guild wars. It doesn't use any of the steam APIs. Any trade conducted that way is a two part trade, and subject to scams. It's also considered real money trading by Anet, so you'd better be damn careful who knows what you may or may not be doing. All it takes is one person who wants to be a dick, and you risk loosing anything you gained in game, as well as account suspension. Bottom line, don't be open about trading for things outside the game. Keep it as secretive as possible.
Oh. I thought they'd integrated the steam inventory thing somehow... Damn.
To be fair, my friend took that with his cell and posted it on the 'net, so I just linked to it for convenience's sake. And I'm not looking for just FP people, but I'd love to have a few onboard, and in fact I've already got one.
Here's a better one. Are there any active players still? I'm probably gonna start working on my HoM this week.
Add Corin the Wise to your friends list. I'll help you out, and I'll consider joining the guild.
Bitchin, logged in last night and my 6th birthday present was an everlasting kuunavang tonic! I'm going to start playing again and get my HoM filled up more, 9 points right now. IGN is whoops I missed, if anyone wants to do anything. I can help you out with whatever
Here's a better one. Are there any active players still? I'm probably gonna start working on my HoM this week.
Active players in the guild? Absolutely, and I just recruited a bunch more who are turning out to be some quite interesting people.
Add Corin the Wise to your friends list. If you want to join later tonight, try Mia Yashicera, tell her I sent you and she'll send you an invite.

Maybe if I start up again, I'll look you up.
I wish there were more europeans in the guild, I'm always online when everybody's not (I'm Oni Tiger)
Yay, Everlasting Anton Tonic and a Burning Titan Mini which I didn't have.
I'd be more inclined to like the 6th year tonics if they had a chance of giving you the upgraded armors that the heroes have. Most of the default armors are pretty underwhelming compared to the upgraded ones.
Why I still have this...only god knows. [t]http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/9776/20120109220014.jpg[/t]
im starting to play this game again, after like 5 years old not playing it I only have the original core "Guild Wars". What am I missing out on without the other expansions? [editline]14th January 2012[/editline] fuck nevermind i dont remember my login.
So I want to get to 40 HoM points. I have about 340k to spend. What do, FP? http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=main&details=kVABA8%2F%2F%2F%2FDImc6AghnAAIAAAAIAAAAAfQEIAAAAAAA I need 9 more mini pets to max out Devotion. Anybody have any of these: Krait Neoss, Kveldulf, Nornbear, Ooze, Jora, Quetzal Sly, Cobalt Scabara, Fire Drake, or Ophil Nahualli? I've gotten to the point where all the minis I need will cost me over 10k a pop.
Give up...it simply requires way too much time to obtain enough money/resources to get 40 HoM.
Give up...it simply requires way too much time to obtain enough money/resources to get 40 HoM.
Meh, I'll settle for 35. I'm at 33 now, just bought Elite Kurzick armor. I also have all the time in the world before Guild Wars 2 comes out.
Your best bets are some common minatures, 2 conqueror titles and 2 EOTN armors.
Anyone got an approx. time in hours to get 30 HoM points? I have Guild Wars + all expansions but barely played it at all. What's a good number of points to aim for before the time/point ratio gets a bit silly?

I did just throw some minis on the pile, though you seem to know what is going on there. Still, that's a pretty easy way to get to 35. You are missing 3 of the EoTN rep ranks. This was a double EoTN weekend. Guess you missed that opportunity. Norn farming is ridiculously easy to get 50k in 45 minutes. Had a run earlier where I got 63.5k in 40 minutes. Not sure why I have max Norn on my ele of all things, but now I do.
Give up...it simply requires way too much time to obtain enough money/resources to get 40 HoM.
It's not meant to be trivial to obtain a full HoM. Getting to 40 doesn't really require that large of an investment if you are willing to do the time consuming things like vanquishing and guardian. EDIT: On a completely unrelated note, the buff to unsteady ground is pretty damn nice. Don't get me wrong, the damage output on eles is still garbage, as in you hit destroyers for 10 damage per tick at 16 earth in hard mode without buffs like honor. However, unsteady ground, churning earth, and eruption combined with ebon battle standard of wisdom is some damn fine utility. Knockdowns and blind galore in HM.
Will you be getting unobtainable for non-GW1ers stuff in GW2 with the Hall of Monuments or will it just take me longer to get items like this? (Besides the titles?)
Will you be getting unobtainable for non-GW1ers stuff in GW2 with the Hall of Monuments or will it just take me longer to get items like this? (Besides the titles?)
They will only be obtainable via HoM/GW1, however they are purely cosmetic, so they don't make too much difference, similar to a collector's edition item or something.
Nobody ever wants to finish Mallyx the Unyielding/The Ebony Citadel of Mallyx with me, it's all I need
Nobody ever wants to finish Mallyx the Unyielding/The Ebony Citadel of Mallyx with me, it's all I need
I would, but seeing as I have the flu/Don't have any chars that have completed the other 4 quests at the moment, it'll have to wait. Would have to grab the Q's and do DoA first.
Yippie! I managed to get my account back. I had this game around release and stopped after everyone else did. Then they include this whole character name to log in bullshit. Fucked if I knew that. It was in latin (I had a phase of that) Is it worth buying the expansions or shall I just play the original for a while?

You'd be helping yourself out alot if you had all of the expansions. It allows a larger variety of skills and builds. EoTN would be the major one if you can't get them all though.
