You get invited by mail. So if you weren't, you can't get in.

Yeah. I just kept trying, lol. A guy on the forums said he got in by using his gw1 account that he linked his gw2 account to. I did the same and instead of getting 'no beta event' I'm getting 'Check your connection'.
