So you can't answer the question? Okay then.
i forgot there is also exploration puzzles. what else would you like them to include on the pve side? or think they are missing. and crafting too.
i forgot there is also exploration puzzles. what else would you like them to include on the pve side? or think they are missing. and crafting too.
Hey I forgot about the exploration modes. Thanks for answering a legitimate question instead of busting out into super defensive fanboy mode and going off on WoW bashing tangents! I guess what I'm asking is if there are any analogues to the traditional raids, which have 10 or more people fighting a series of bosses in an expansive environment? Dungeons are cool and world bosses will be neat once in awhile, but are dungeons meant to be the meat of the GW2 PVE experience or are there something like raids that have been talked about but not implemented yet?
I think what he is trying to say is that there will always be an area in the game that is new to you (at least, for a long while), and with level scaling you can always go back, and try different dungeons, exploring, and all that fun stuff. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] Ahhh, ninja'd
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FPGWII Don't forget to join the FP GW2 steam group.
I've joined, my steam is "The Scanner Darkly". I wish I could change my forum name.
I wish I could remove the 99 from my name, because it was just random digits because my first account Newbienice got broken and I couldn't verify or post. Not worth $25 though
yeh, i think dungeons will be guild wars versions of raids. they did it because its a lot easier and faster to organise a group of 5 people of any class with guildies randoms or rl friends. they should have the same difficulty as raids. and probably much harder than wow seeming it isnt about having a tank and healer who has enough gear to survive and dps moving from bad stuff. i think it might also be a bit like swtor where its got a lot of work put into your characters story and persists the whole way through rather than , big boss puts world in danger we must defeat these bosses to make us good enough to finally beat the main bad guy. each of the dungeons will be free to have much more diverse stories that dont have to tie into each other. they will also release expansions which if they are like GW1 will have almost as much content as the first game. Its jsut different to wow where all the content is dropped at once and you progress through it rather than ginding one raid for a month before becoming "strong" enough to go on to the next one when they release it.
I remember in a video the guy saying that the 5-man teams were the sweet spot and any more they felt they were forcing too many people together. He said that it was also a very universal number of players in other games and the groups of close-knitted friends would be transferable without making them grab another couple of members. I like the idea of really hard dungeons with 5 players, it seems much more appealing then having 25 people in the same situation, not sure why.
hehe, im just glad i have 4 other close friends all getting this game and none of them smoke so i dont have to wait for smoke breaks between every damn raid boss XD i really hope they add duelling to the game. i would also enjoy a few different pvp game types for messing around in but that could be added later.

Human Guardian named Tirion Fordring.
Human Guardian named Tirion Fordring.
sweet, warrior kilroy stonekin
Human Guardian named Tirion Fordring.
oh you
it's annoying that the add 4 numbers to the end of your name nomatter what.
Actually that's only if there's someone else with the same name. par exemple I've got imadaman.#### (don't remember don't care), and I show up as imadaman until someone else also registers as imadaman, then I show up as imadaman.#### and he shows up as imadaman.####
I myself can't wait to explore every single pixel of Tyria and it is probably the biggest reason why I will play this, well that and the story.
I like the idea of really hard dungeons with 5 players, it seems much more appealing then having 25 people in the same situation, not sure why.
Because with most MMOs like this or WoW you probably won't know all 25 people you'd be raiding with and the type of people that play these games (don't mean to offend anyone) general lack the brain power to coordinate (or work with) other 25 people.
so i dont have to wait for smoke breaks between every damn raid boss XD
EVERYBODY DRINK!
Female Elementalist named Korra or Male Elementalist named Aang also thinking deeper into this made me raise a question i wish to ask the developers, what happens if our char has no weapon equipped, do we get a new set of skills if not why not!? i'd love to have an unarmed set of skills.
Asura thief named Parva Effercio ('Small stuff' in latin) Either that or a human guardian named 'Spudacus'
I feel like the only one interested in GW2's PVE...
Are you kidding me? I'm super psyched for PvE and Dynamic events and the personal story, I just don't want to spoil ANY of it during the beta weekend events.
Yeah I'll mostly do PVE stuff. That's how I tend to play MMO's. I have shooters and RTS games for my competitive fix.
most of the time i will be pvping i think. but i love both pvp and pve so going to be tough to choose what to do.
I have never even played a single serious match of PvP in Guild Wars 1 and I have 1700 hours on that. Fuck PvP. Although GW2 PvP does look fun, I hope it changes my mind.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm actually finding myself looking forward to WvW in GW2, and even structured PvP a little bit! I virtually never played any PvP in the first game, despite being a seasoned veteran player. I did a few RAs to see what it was like and decided it was no fun. I used to play AB a bit because of how many people are fighting each other making it feel that much more epic. So WvW is gonna be awesome. But I think the main reason I'm looking forward to it because it's not just whoever has the best build and stats is the winner, it's now mostly down to skill. In GW1 it's about 20% skill 80% gear/stats/build/etc.. In GW2 it's looking more to be 80% skill and 20% numbers. Should be much more enjoyable!
When the nearest BWE weekend rolls around, can some people help me test some stuff will guilds? I'd like to see how being in multiple guilds works, whether you can see the guild chats of both guilds at the same time, etc etc So I just need 3 maybe 4 people to each make guilds, and join all of each other's guilds.

The idea of PvP is supposed to be fast paced skill based competition. GW1 combat was literally the complete opposite of that. Gladly, GW2 PvP looks 2934739358267342 times better than that and i can't wait [editline]15th April 2012[/editline]
When the nearest BWE weekend rolls around, can some people help me test some stuff will guilds? Another thing for the drinking game: Whenever you see someone naked.
Another thing for the drinking game: Whenever you see someone naked.
Anytime you see XX in a name. I.E. XX Bowmaster XX
Another thing for the drinking game: Whenever you see someone naked.
if you're a fan of alcohol poisoning, whenever some stupid purple jizz comes out of a mesmer. or whenever someone starts using siege equipment in WvW for things other than their intended purpose (Trebuchets to attack ground units, etc.) Whenever you personally fail to use up one of your dodges on a big attack. That's one of those things that the more you do it the more you drink and the more it happens so the more you drink etc. endless cycle of drinking death
Hmm. I wonder if we'll get people roleplaying relationships. Like, phone sex. But in GW2. I'm sure there are some suitably slutty actions for female characters. Or maybe jiggle boobs. Actually, I really want jiggle boobs.
