What race/profession combo are you guys planning to level first? Me personally am going to level an Asura Elementalist and then i plan on making a Norn Warrior.

Charr Engineer I think. Then probably a Sylvari Necromancer.

I know I'm going to play as a Thief, but I'm not sure what race I'll pick. Maybe Asura.

Human Ranger, might not be first, but it's gonna be a "spiritual" successor to my Guild Wars character. I'll probably make a Sylvari Mesmer.

Norn Necro here. Also a human mesmer. And a charr warrior and an asura guardian. I don't know what my sylvari will be yet.

Human elementalist, then sylvari necro, then norn mesmer, then i dunno.. gonna have one of each race.

Also, I cannot wait to scorpion wire someone in PvP, right into a friendly hammer warrior. ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip...BAM

Yea all of them really sound fun as hell to play but I figure id make a range dps first then a tank just for endgame purposes and whatnot. Be able to fill either of my two favorite rolls when needed. If anyone is on gw1 gettn doing HoM or whatever send me a friend request ill probably be fairly active now until god finally gives us gw2. Name - Ice Bubba Edit - Btw im 20 ele/mo and haven't played in god knows how long so if anyone could give me some pointers on what gear and a good build for pve itd be greatly appreciated.

Asura guardian (After seeing one of them wobble around in the demo's last year I fell in love) Sylvari Ele Human Ranger Not sure what else.

I know theres not specific classes for dps, tank etc but Im pretty sure (Correct me if im wrong) im not gunna be able to "Tank" with a squishy asuran ele XD But I also havnt done too much reading on gw2 just kinda skimmed over the website and watched a few videos so i guess i can't be sure...

I believe I will make one or two of these: Sylvari - Necro Sylvari - Ranger Asura - Thief Charr - Warrior Depends on what my friends are making.

And I remember one of the devs saying he was doing well taking damage as a Necromancer. Stole health and such from enemies, so even though he took a lot of damage, his health pool was quite large. I'm probably going to end up buying a second account on release day (I'm weird like that), so I guess my characters will be: Charr Engineer Sylvari Necromancer Human Thief Sylvari Mesmer Charr Warrior Asuran Elementalist Human Guardian Charr Ranger Likely in that order, but it will inevitably get switched up. Probably end up making a Warrior sooner. P.S. Fuck Norns.

I believe my main will be a Human Warrior. Most likely will go with honoring Balthazar as my chosen god, those hounds look nice.

The traditional form of tanking (e.g. being a huge meaty dude and being hit a lot) doesn't really exist in this game. There are some classes that can definitely take a lot more hits than others, of course, the Warrior and Necromancer are both very durable and the warrior is probably the closest to what you're thinking of. But other classes can be just as hard to kill, they just achieve it through different means. A Guardian will negate damage with his shields, defensive bubble skills and wards. A thief is going to be dodging his way out of damage and breaking targeting with stealth skills. Necromancers are probably the most durable class in the game at the moment. They have the highest base health in the game, plus an on-demand secondary life bar in Death Shroud, [I]plus[/I] incredible defensive skills like [url=http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ghost_Armor]Ghost Armour[/url] and [url=http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lich_Form]Lich Form[/url], they're going to be very very difficult to take down.

My characters will be Norn Guardian, Charr Engineer and maybe a Ranger.

Why is everyone stealing my idea of Charr Engineer :c I wish I could have played Engineer at Eurogamer, only had shit professions.

P.S. Did anyone notice that the Hall of Monuments calculator still says 'Beta'?
