Sometimes AVG's Resident Shield stops certain exe's. Unless you don't mind spending the money. The only reason I would see someone playing it now would be for the lore or HoM. Both of which aren't game-changing for GW2.

My download is going crazy. At one point it's doing 5MB/s and 10 seconds later is barely touching 1MB/s, only to drop to 300kb/s and rise to 3.5MB/s immediately after.

Unfortunately mines dropped down to about 250 kb/s looks like i'll be leaving it on overnight, oh well.
